I am proud of both yâall for coming out to your parents. 18 years ago today 12/3, I came out to my parents, both parents split up, I did the same thing called my dad on the phone told him I am that I am Gay, my dad was Pastor at the time. My dad told me same thing that both of yâall dads told yâall. I had lunch with my dad he cried and said he loved me and will support me and God can only judge me when I get the golden gates in heaven. And when I spoke to My mom she told me she already knew about being gay. She is #1 supporter.

I heard that whole "it's just a phase" speech from my mom too. Ik exactly how you feel. Tbh they'll come around at some time once they come to terms with their self. Theirs no right or wrong way of coming out. Tbh I don't really believe in coming out. I see it as, if being gay or bi or w.e side of the spectrum you are is natural. Then why do we as the children have to come out and announce our sexuality. But str8 people don't, it's just assumed as the "default". That's why for me I just be chilling and be myself and let everybody find out for their self, and if I tell anybody then I told them for a reason of conversation or just to let them know hey we can relate about this. My oldest sister is a stud and my god sister is too. So it's rainbow gang all day over here.

When I first came out telling my family that I was Bi I told my grandmother she said that it was okay because she was to. I then told my aunt she also said she was Bi. I then told my godmother she said she was also Bi. Some how someone told my mom she was upset that I didn't let her know first but she accepted it and told me she was Bi so know every year me and my family get together and go to the pride parade. #L.G.B.T.G.

I don't know how you felt but I was sad and irritated honestly, because he said how he wasn't in my life etc and that's why, but I just kept thinking how it's honestly not about him. Me coming out was me telling him that this is who I am, it's not a phase, it has nothing to do with him being present, and like y'all said you know if you are. The only difference is that I had sons at a very early age and did not know myself, and Cardo does not have any children. I am glad that your response for us live was one that you wanted to hear, remember the conversation with the family will come up again and be ready and honest with your family and listen with a level head/positive answer. Omg! Cardo your conversation with your dad had me in tears because of the way he took it... He genuinely loves you, and it reminds me of when I came out to my parents as a transgender woman. My mom wasn't against it, but it took her time getting use to it. Now she's my best friend!
