I ran 2 15 in PYLE DRIVERS behind my rear seat back in 1989 . Push them with a ESS 300 watt amp . The PYLES lasted 10 years of abuse( the paper and foam crumbed) .I still have the 300 watt amp . Running 6x9s. 30 yrs later still going strong. I be 60 this year . Memories 😊
Im 80 yrs old I ran 5 of those still running till this day

I'm 57 and just increased the Bump in my Ram 1200 Watts with dual 10 inch woofers! What can I say, I still love the way a good balance of music sounds in my vehicle!❤
Is 300 watts really abusing them though (unless you are flapping them around well below tuning).
@@TimpBizkit 😊 with this 300 watt ess early 90s amp it pushes real power . I ran also 4 tens (no box open behind my seat ). And my trunk was ready to fly off (use to run my system for 5-6 hours of cruising. )It’s been a great amp . And still kicking .💕

you have to consider the sum of the total rms power this is taking probably a 2000 rms amp is overdoing it ..

It's funny cuz back in the day I got to sit in an official Pyle demo vehicle when they were considered a good brand! That system knocked! Today it seems they haven't progressed, sad really.
Pyle was a good brand back in the day since it was actualy made in u.s.a. today its just mass produced chinese junk

My first subs, back in 1993 were 2 PYLE Driver 10" (that was before PYLE was bought out and moved manufacturing to China)
It is a bumping pyle of shyt nice work just shows you don't need a crazy system to be loud great job on the build.
It wouldn't take but a couple changes and this could be an insane system.
Like what for example
More powerful speakers bigger amps and more electrical and that system with be in the 150s for sure

@@Rdizil-ox1ye 8 12s on a 3K and a 146 score isnt really efficient. It is low budget friendly though, if you dont count the 3 subs he's blown and replaced
@@Luminous.Dynamics the subs are they don't put out as much as your top end subs some people would have one or 2 top end subs on 3 k to be able to run 8 off stock electric. Sure it's not cracking windows but that is loud not to mention the addition of mids and highs . Im not saying it is record breaking but your average Joe can get this type of set up and be happy
It's surprising what cheap subs can do. Me and a friend had 4 50 dollar jbl 10s that we broke a 150db with (in the kick). This was back in 2016. But really most cheap subs could do the same in a good box.
Nice to see that the addiction is met regardless of financial ability. That’s how I have to do it. I’d like to see more in the future along with the big dogs.

Double your subs and power ~ +6dB all else being equal. Until you have so many subs crammed in the car that you can't get the efficiency gains anymore due to air compression. By then your ears and body need a break, or you need stronger motors to increase the "compression ratio".
Did 6 Lanzar 15s in a wall once, it banged. Upgraded to the DB platinums and the build really came to life.

Thats the best budget setup ive seen. He done an amazing job, its as clean as it gets! Ive been thinking bout doing this with the Harmony Audio Monolith subs, wanting to put 4 of the Monolith 15s on my Salt 4 and see how long they last and compare them to the two Zv.5 12s i have now on the Salt4. I installed a setup about 2 years ago in my friends Jeep Cherokee, it has 4 of the cheap Mtx Terminator 12s on a Soundstream RN1.3000 getting about 1800 rms, and its sounds good and still works well, 2 years later.

Right now I got 3 Pyle 15’s and it metered a 144.1 @ 45hz 750 watts clamped, outlaw in the kick inside my Tahoe 0 deadener or cabin mods, gonna try for a 150 with 8 hifonics hfx 12’s on a lot more power
Id swap the Pyles for some better budget subs like Older MOFOs and throw a TeamPie 3000w-7500w amp in and make it a 154+ DB budget system
Given how iconic mofos are you’d have a hard time finding 8 mofos in good working conditions for a reasonable price.
I love underdog low budget builds it actually take some know how to get it to sound good

I bought the 10s just to play with 4 years ago, got 2-$19 and honestly they were fun and didn't sound terrible. I put too many watts to them blowing one but it was fun. I'm playing with the Walmart Kicker Comp now

I have 2 u12s with a smart bass 5k wired to .5 ohm but not hitting lows well would sound deadening in my trunk fix that?
It's also facing my trunk should a try to face toward cabin? (Sedan)
What frequency is your box tuned to? How big is the box? These two things alone have a huge impact as to how low a set up will play. Sound deadening could help, but I doubt the difference would be Audible enough to make a huge difference. in general= lower tuning, bigger box= better performance at lower frequencies.
@808teckie6 after more research the u12 can play lows but isn't meant for them and box is built to spec so that would make sense, since this comment I've been getting a box designed for my trunk to face cabin

When it comes to cheap subs you should try to turn box around and try one up and one down firing set up it should sound pretty good

I was gonna put a link or two to specifically go to 6-packs of these speakers but you can just type in PYLE PLPW12D at (wherever) and go from there.
By sort-of discrediting these subs a little, they're probably 'flying off the shelves'! It's not the size of the magnet - it's the sh** (Yeah, I know, lol) that you stick to it. Plastic basket, hung up on one finger? Innovative! Shipping? Minimal! I had 4 Pyle 12-inchers side by side in a 4-foot-wide box many years ago that was sealed but not divided; I realize or BELIEVE now that each sub has its own minute parameters and will react slightly differently from the others when hit with the same exact signal. Agree? Disagree?...and if you know of one that is multiple but individually-ported, I'd love to see that and now, I'm thinking of getting Pyles again, but just when I need to.

My cousin ea similar setup in his car 8 of those in a wall and it sounds decent. Pulls up opens the door and it is a block party 😅.

Sounds about right. I had 4 pyle bluewave 12s on about 1600w doin 42-43 @44hrz one seal prefab, one ported prefab box. Poor mans 4th lmao. Sound great on music with kicker coaxial 6x9s, 6.5s, and 5.25s.

I did a trunk wall years ago with 8 of those 6.5's for fun. Did 132.8 sealed on dash. Was alright for what it was.
Put a smart bass 5k on them and boy he's gonna cook all of them😂 it would be fun

Any extra battery makes a huge difference. I prefer the Lipho4. LiTime 100ah group 65 is what i have. It was $229.

had 2 mofo 15s in 3.4 cf each ported to 40hz in a f150 excab would do 146 on music all day with 800 watts on them alot of people tap out at that volume

If he even tossed some skar sdr 12s he probably gain 2-3 db just from the extra throw and a little better power handling. Love to see him toss some other budget 12s in there and see what it does.

What nobody realizes is those cheap Pyles are highly efficient 92db 1 watt find a sundown that effecient
Sundowns are for power density. The amount you can cram into a small airspace is a lot, but you will need more amplifier power. The good news is that a multiple driver setup is efficient due to speaker coupling, so then you end up with a big high headroom box that takes a ton of power and keeps getting louder. They probably make awesome horn bass drivers too.

I have also seen them put 10k watts on 8 s pyles try to blow em and guess what they did not blow the handled it and seen another youtuber put 5k on 3inch pyle subs and handled it aventually they popped but it just ripped the wire from the back he taped it back and boom it went to playing again never smoked just rip the wire i did it on 15s just ripped the wire gave em to my friend he still bumpin with it taped right now
I did 9 of those 15s in my old Ford Expedition. It sounded pretty good. They made the wipers jump. Sealed box is better for those subs.
Sealed box is never better when you're going for SPL.
I got one 12 making my wipers jump on 1500 watt rms for over a year now

Pyle was an OG brand of audio equipment going back to the 70's and 80's era... used to be quality gear. Shame it seems that they're now a laughed-at Walmart brand.
