- Unti-unti nang dinadayo ang esplanade sa maynila, lalo pa't binuksan na sa publiko ang phase 1c. Nakadagdag pa sa pagka-romantic ng lugar dahil nataong sunset ang ating pagpunta kung kayat napaka-ganda ng lugar.

It will take another 100 years for Manila to maybe even improve by 50%.
If you look at old videos/pictures of prewar Manila (the buildings, bridges, roads, lamp posts, trolly), the city was something to be proud of…everything complemented each other.
But if you look at it today, we can see the mindset or lack of priorities amongst the local leaders. We see a Frankenstein approach that makes the metropolis look like a dysfunctional monster. Kahit ano na lang ang maisip nilalagay without giving much thought.
I say change the name of Manila to DISNILA because it is turning into a gaudy make believe park like Disneyland or a communist bloc country where you see modern untidy crumbling structures alongside overly decorated edifices. Perfectly good example is that ugly Immigration Building next to the presently being reconstructed Aduana bulding and next to these two building is a communist China arch bridge that is lopsided (one end is higher than the other) and of course Manila’s famous spaghetti wires and iconic billboards.
Oh well, I give Acuzar an A+ for his dedication and effort.
But I will give the overall state of Manila a D- for looking like puzzle pieces that don’t quite fit.
Rome wasn’t built in one day. I am optimistic about the project. You are right about the discombobulation of all materials lying around and it looks like a messy kitchen. They said the 27KM project will be done in 2028 hopefully. I am hoping that the river would not have that stench. They need to clean it more and no more squatters!

@@tomyukto8198 I found the comment objective. It's hard to admit but Manila and the most of country for that matter has a long way to go when it comes to building well designed infrastructures. The city has been riddled with gaudy and haphazard builds for too long that it might take a whole lifetime to get back on track but this whole project, though not perfect is a good start.
Just be optimistic rather than being pessimistic at least may ginawang pagbabago and soon it will be perfect place to watch fireworks dosplay during New Year's Eve countdown imagine the fireworks igniting from atop the bridge

Tungkol po naman sa issue ng amoy ng ilog Pasig, alam po naman natin na yung burak sa ilalim ay naglalabas ng gas patungo sa ibabaw kaya regular na dredging lang mga sir mula sa dulo palabas ng Manila bay overtime ay manunumbalik muli ang Buhay sa ilog, gayon din sa ating mga estero at canal. Mabuti din po kung maiayos din natin ang garbage collection sa mga lungsod na dinadaanan ng ilog para mabawasan kung hindi man tuluyang mawala ang mga kalat. 🙂

Ewan ko kahit pa noong dolomite beach hanggang dito sa pasig river esplanade, nega palagi mga dilawan. I honestly did not vote for FPRRD & PBBM pero I commend these projects. Parang ang gusto ng mga dilawan ay kung hindi nman lahat ng problema maayos at the same time wag nlang magpretend ang iilan. It’s all or nothing para sa kanila. Eh ilang taon din nman mga dilawan namumuno, nasolve nyo ba lahat ng problema? Wala nko paki sa mga political parties nyo. Kung sino nkakaayos ng ng bansa natin, dun ako.

It may look pretty but this place is nothing compared to what Marcos STOPPED to be built - the Manila Horizon Reclamation which garnered international awards for design and would surely help the economy but Marcos STOPPED it. How foolish is that?
