It's still hilarious that the announcer compared the fight to "kids fighting in a schoolyard" for the part where they really started punching each other out. In fact, the dub used that line basically.

Also, here's a breakdown of the stuff Issei has thus far:
1) Boosted gear (natural power that makes him double in strength every 10 seconds and can get sped up based on his emotions/drive)
2) Dress Break (unique magic attack he created that allows him to strip all the clothing of any girl he touches. could work on other things if he tried it, but he doesn't except the one time to save Asia from Diodora)
3) Booblingual (unique magic that lets him read the thoughts of any girl through their chest. he could mind-read other stuff as well, but only ever done so once with Yasaka thanks to Sun Wukong's help)
4) Balance break - Scale Mail (natural power that basically gives Issei that dragon armor)
5) Juggernaut Drive (even stronger, yet normally uncontrollable form that boosts his power even more)
6) Boosted gear - gift (can transfer Issei's energy/power to others. A stupidly strong ability if what/who he transfers stuff to can handle the boost)
7) Divine Dividing (power stolen from Vali that can halve the power/effect of what he wants basically, while giving that power to himself)
8) Illegal Move Trianna (natural power that lets Issei gain the powers of a rook, bishop, or knight at will)
9) Cardinal Crimson Queen (the power shown in this episode by doing what was considered unthinkable and controlling the juggernaut drive. this gives him the powers of juggernaut drive with no drawback and the powers of a queen on top of a power spike in general. and he can pretty much do this at will now)
10) Ascalon (a sword said to be able to slay dragons easily. It's a legendary blade, but not really on par with Excalibur and Durandal. still a very powerful weapon regardless of the enemy and dragons attacked by it are basically taking "weakness damage")
side notes to mention:
1) Issei has his dragon shot ability which is a ball of energy he lets out. but it's looks can be deceiving as it's as strong as he is
2) Issei can use Longinus Smasher in his juggernaut drive (uncontrollable) or Cardinal Crimson Queen form. think "dragon shot" as a huge "f**k you" laser that's WAY stronger.
3) Issei also has his dragon flame ability, which he used on that guy that can control shadows. These flames are VERY hard to resist/put out, with the strongest being impossible to put out.
4) Issei is also quite a strategist when it counts. Definitely will come in handy when he finally gets to have his own "evil pieces".
5) Speaking of Evil Pieces, it took all 8 pawn pieces just for Rias to have Issei. He's essentially the strongest evil piece by pure potential alone.
I just though something... when issei changes into a rook or a knight... doesn't he become also the strongest rook or knight? Cause you know... 8 pawns changing into 8 rooks would be very strong...
@@xxspringtrap-goldenbunnyxx6137 yeah, it's something like that. Issei taking up all 8 pieces more or less implies that he's essentially like 8 people in one.
But in practice, Issei is more like the strength of the entire team when he's at his best.... and then some. Gasper is a "mutation piece" cause he should have used up more than just a bishop piece. Issei pretty much feels the same way, but idk if it was ever confirmed that he's a mutation piece.
basically in that form he can use the bishop, knight, and rook form that he used against caocao episodes before and use it all at the same time but it has a price. if there will be new season for dxd i wpuld like to see vali's form
You know in this anime dxd they got all mythology they have all gods from greece like zeus etc, norse like odin etc, and hindu god like indra
The other stuff i wanted to mention. Has to do with what else was skipped. Passione tried their best to fix stuff, that the other studio missed. But still stuff was left out. One is Rias dream, which has to do with why Issei wants to become the strongest pawn of all time. Rias dream is to become the ratings game champ. Hence why Issei wants to become the top pawn, so he can help her out with her dream. Next has to do with the sona vs rias ratings games match being completely skipped. Which was a big stepping stone for issei's growth. Because Issei lost his individual match, against saji. Rias won the overall match though. The next thing, was a important short story, from vol 8 that wasn't animated at all. Was briefly mentioned in season 4, on the train by issei. About the satan rangers stuff. XD It was a test given by rias parents. To see if they would make a good pairing. And if they passed, they would be considered engaged. It's why rias parents wanted issei to call them mom and dad. Also that part of the story, you're giving important lore as well. It has to do with the 72 pillars and who they were. And the actual family names. Which issei had to learn for the tests. As well as proper manners and how to dance. Which rias mother taught him how to do. lol So at the end of it, in the eyes of rias parents. Rias and issei were considered engaged after this test. XD Which issei had no clue about. lololol
also, Sairaorg standing like that while unconcious,
must have inspired Ash Ketchum's Incineroar right after the later evolved from Torract
just when he beat professor Kukui's Incineroar

He can't promote to king because thats not how chess works and only high class devils can hold the title of king which allows them to have thier own servants and command there own peerage issei is still a low class devil be he can be promoted to a higher class depending on his achievements and with his win against Sairaorg who is was the strongest of his generation that had granted him the opertunnity to take test to raise his rank to middle class
In chess, pawn can promotes into higher pieces like rook, bishop , knight and queen.

It's not very well shown in the anime. But issei has had to face some of the stuff sairaorg has faced. In terms of the high class devils looking down on him. The only differences between the two, was that stuff with the mom backstory for sairaorg. Also it's mentioned, that issei wants to help with Rias dream. Which is also missing from the anime. x. x Being the strongest pawn, has to do with rias dream.

Good it’s a garbage series anyway, give that time and resources to a actually good Anime, this is why Anime sucks now because people like crap like DxD and it gets made instead of actual quality works.
