    So we tackle a subject that I have been researching for some time, this was done in combination with some industry pros I trust as well as you the followers. Don't forget to leave your comments down below.
    Rugby players check this out: www.pacssports.com
    Our website: www.nextgenrugga.com
    Instagram: / nextgenrugga
    Facebook: / nextgenrugga
    NextGenRugga is the home to grassroots rugby. Whether you call it schoolboy rugby as we do in South Africa or high school rugby like elsewhere, the goal is the same; to keep you updated with the goings on in the world of youth rugby.
    Whether it is rugby big hits, rugby steps, rugby motivation, rugby highlights or rugby big hits we have you covered. We also have rugby reaction videos but try not to cover too many rugby fails, rugby motivational videos will soon make their way to the channel as well as school rugby big hits in South Africa.
    New Zealand school rugby, England school rugby, Ireland school rugby, Australia school rugby and soon Scotland school rugby and Wales school rugby will all be covered. School rugby is our passion and covering rugby schools is what we do best.
    Don’t forget we also have PACS available the link is above. PACS stands for players, agents, clubs and scouts and is our way to try and connect stakeholders in the rugby industry.
    Rugby players, rugby agents, rugby clubs and rugby scouts are all welcome on the PACS system. Do you offer business services? If you offer business services then take a close look at PACS, there are a multitude of business services that can be offered in the PACS ecosystem. Whether your business service is player related or if your business services are related to the community at large then certainly take a look at PACS. PACS is ideal for business services.
    Perhaps you are a lawyer offering legal services. If so take a look at PACS. Rugby players need lawyers too and good lawyers can be hard to find, especially lawyers who are in the rugby industry. If you are a lawyer then consider signing up for a PACS account as a lawyer that offers legal services. Your lawyer background offering legal services could help many players.
    Even those in the insurance industry may find a place at PACS. Insurance companies are many but there are rugby player who take big rugby hits in their career and although it may be rugby highlights worthy one wrong move and a career can end. Insurance providers are welcome to list their service to schoolboy and high school or even club rugby players Everyone needs a good insurance provider.
    Are you a college or university offering a degree? Not many high school and schoolboy rugby players will make it all the way to the top of the rugby chain so to speak. They always need a good back up and the ideal back up is to get a college or university degree. A good degree should be at the forefront of every players mind. Do not hesitate to sign up to PACS and showcase your university or college degrees. The players are always looking for a good institution to attend and gaining the relevant degree is vitally important. We look forward to seeing your degree on our website.

    I was a pupil at Jeppe from 90-92 and got to witness James Dalton play and see Jake White create magic moments on the field.
    Then moved to Dale College from 93-95 and got to watch that unbeaten 93 team it all still brings back wonderful school boy memories. It sad the uphill struggle Grant Griffiths faced at Dale but no one can say he did not give it his best shot. Thanks for this video really enjoyed and you have earned a new subscriber from the UK.

    What about Jos Labuschagne who coached Grey in the 80s and Dries joined in 84.?Jos coach the longest unbeaten schools team 86 to 91 Grey and large number of Springboks including Ruben Kruger, Pieter Müller, Naka, Ollie, Smiley, Charl Marais, Andries Truscott etc. He also moved Werner Swaenepoel from flyhalf to scrumhalf because he said you are a scrumhalf boet

    Hi, I do agree with you that Skonk was the best. I had the privilege of being there before he retired. A rugby brain of note, ahead of this time. I left in 86, Grey's Bloem was definitely a good team in the late 80's. A great list.

    You also left out Ingo Machts from Grey College, head coach 2009-2013 also part of the coaching staff since 2006 and a Grey College legend side by side Dries.

    I think you've overlooked a couple of really great coaches but all in all a well rounded top 10!
    Skonk set the benchmark and wrote the "Bible" for school boy coaching so rightly deserved! The fact that we still speak about him today is testament to his legacy!
    Number 10 rightly so coach P is going places and is an asset to SA rugby - although I feel you failed to mention the impact Kevin Taylor had on Selborne Rugby with 2 stints as a 1st XV coach also countless Craven Week and SA Schools selections even a Bok or two, and an impressive record of results in the mid to late 90's and again from 2007-2017, not to mention a master in charge of two school sports Rugby and Rowing which in itself is pretty impressive (he would be ahead of Griffy in my books as a "coach" )

    • @NextGenXV
      @NextGenXV  Před 4 lety

      Damien Bradshaw very tough to put something like this together - and also very difficult to note who all the best coaches are, I often reach out to my community tab on CZcams as well as chat to a few people involved in the game. But whatever list I do I will never have full consensus, but one advantage is that when I do these lists at least new names end up coming up

    As good as the 1996 Affies team was, they lost to a Kiwi school at the Kearsney festival that year. Had they kicked over all their penalties they could have won.

    If he didn’t go to Lions you really think he would have kept up with the winning rate?
    How did it go with his Glenwood stats and last year at Boishaai? Not so good, Wessel one coach that might be one of the best in this country.

    • @NextGenXV
      @NextGenXV  Před 4 lety

      iMike_ZA last year wasn’t the best but 3 unbeaten seasons on the trot is remarkable. Think he really could of built a dynasty there, Wessel is a great coach but remember what he’s working with as well. Cherries this year would likely be a top 10 team

I don’t mind discussions, debates not really my thing. You seem to know your stuff though, so look forward to you being able to contribute to making the content of the videos better in future
