Me, I'm not having a good one as I got a call this morning that my 91 year old beautiful dad is very ill with Covid. It's such a worry because he has cancer, heart problems and other health issues. I just pray he gets through this. I am sitting here crying for him and because I am in so much pain in my head and my spine. I don't care about me. I just want dad to get through this. Sorry. What a lovely shopping day. I need to come to Brisbane. The city center is so beautiful! It looks a bit like out of visualization of future cities. Alle these plants everywhere makes it a great vibe. The shops looked well curated. I am amazed. You are chilled and sweet anyway. Great vlog.

I love seeing purple fraggle out in the wild! Love those aquazurrra shoes too, and the paisley shirt and the glasses and Brisbane looks gorgeous too. (Camilla not so much…I think Camilla is a very high risk strategy…. Some pieces are really nice but on the whole it’s a bath and body works of resort wear and I find many of the prints vulgar with all those gold columnar references. Mind you I am not a versace fan either!)
I think Camilla is all about freeing up the body to move. It seems her designs are very resort wear (you might say last resort...lol!) but also can carry over into evening or day. It's not my thing but I appreciate the design elements and motifs. I don't think she is so much crass as thoughtful, TBH because there's a lot of symmetry in the designs which are subtle and even mystical. Except for the marijuana, maybe!
I have heaps of Camilla recently but they are definitely on the milder side of design and I tend to prefer the linens which are new.
Aww Dayle you make miss Brisbane every time. From what I remember Brisbane had a smaller selection brands than the next 2 cities so If you could summon 3 brands to Brisbane what would they be?

The Valley still has plenty of seedy parts but this part is sublime! If I could get Connor to expand his palette….🤭🤣

A perspective on the Camilla Frank designs with the marijuana motifs. Camilla was diagnosed with breast cancer just after delivering her first and only child at 41 years. To date she remains cancer-free, but no doubt she went through gruelling chemotherapies and the whole box and dice. She had preventive double mascectomies, removal of her fallopian tubes and ovaries, which means no more children. I would think the marijuana is a nod to medical use as during chemo people often get nauseous and can't eat. The marijuana helps with this along with the proverbial 'munchies'.
Whether we are child-free or have dealt with similar issues, it's worth taking a moment to contemplate Mother's Day, as really every day is a Mother's Day in some form. And those of us who lacked functional mothers of our own, this is our day too.
