Fabulous singer, still holds my interest after the good ol roaring days of Catatonia back in the 90s. One of the best female vocalists to come out of the UK no question, a real prized gift from God. 😊
Absolutely beautiful! She remains one of my favourite female vocalists. Her voice is so soothing and the lyrics are pretty. I bought Explorer a few days ago and have listened to it about six times so far. I can't decide whether I prefer Sweet Magnolia or Wade in the Water as my favourite track.
Love it! Can't wait for the album to arrive next week. For those who don't know, there's another song from the new album 'Explorer' on the homepage of Cerys' website. Please come back and do a gig in Aberystwyth!
Absolutely BEAUTIFUL, cant stop listening. Surely the best solo piece from Cerys since "cockahoop" album. Cerys has a beautiful voice and love her singing these lazy, hazy, chilled out tunes. With a warm yet husky voice comparable to hot melted chocolate running down sandpaper (that is a compliment) Cerys is surely one of the most underated godess' of the british music industry. Please twitter me bak sometime Cerys @ahatfullofstars
@Conway79 Hi & thanks. like you i also love to listening to the music she did with catatonia, dont think i will ever grow tired of her, i often wonder what happened to the other guys from catatonia?
The drummer Aled Richards is with Stuart Cable's band Killing For Company who are very good. And other three are in a vaguely listenable Welsh speaking band. Or if you are a Gavin and Stacy fan then they formed a band called The Distance with Ness and the Welsh one from Hearsay.
Ha! Finally found a recent track added, love your voice, from one welshy to another please take a look at my daughter 'Lauren Woodward' singing 'Calon Lan' or 'Castle on a Cloud', would mean so much to have you comment on yet another little welsh songbird. By the way lets hear some more tracks aimed at Wonderful Walesxx
@kyleluvsjoplin I love your description of Cerys's voice. In her Catatonia days she definitely had a harshness to her voice, but either through age, better care for her lungs (less cigarettes maybe) or just a different singing style, her voice has become much softer and more soothing. While I prefer her later solo style, I'll still gladly listen to International Velvet or Equally Cursed and Blessed when I fancy a change.
They didn't stay together long. Think it was doomed from the start, having known each other only 11 days and their relationship only lasting a few months. A shame as they had a great connection but hope they both have found happiness now.

greenkitty82 : uhhh, wow. Sounds like some bad choices were made.
I like this song, but not what it appears to be portraying. Weird! song gets a half thumbs up and thumbs down.
