An LX is meant to be a very capable off roader. The reviewer is completely missing the point.

this is basically a toyota land cruiser with extra leather and bling. most capable/reliable off road suv in the market. this lady hasn't even tested its off road capabilities this is the vehicle you want during the zombie apocalypse.
Why is she mad that a v8, body-on-frame, SUV drives like one should
No mentioning interior space or showing 2nd and 3rd row?
She needs to be in a RAV4, she has no idea what this vehicle is and what it is built for. If she were to review movies she would be comparing The Godfather's violence to Snow White. No credibility

I think the groan you are referring to is the growl of a V8 engine which isn't something any of the other luxury brands are offering anymore which is sad. Honestly if I were to buy a large SUV this would probably a top contender.

The most biased review ever
Should have run it on Air Bags like Mercedes and Ram, but it would detract from it's class leading reliability. The acceleration is pretty typical for a truck where you may want more controlled acceleration. Sometimes you don't want to punch it with all the torque so you have to dig into the pedal letting the vehicle know you want to burn tires.
I actually own a 2017 LX. And this review could not be more inaccurate. What are they actually comparing it to? Having spent weeks looking at Range Rover, MB, Cadillac. The quality and bang for your buck is unmatched. Also the information center console. It is very easy to use. Having owned over 11 Lexus. And seeing them adapt from touch screens. This is one of the more user friendly systems to use in this class of SUV's. I don't buy Lexus because of the amount of cars we as a family have owned. I love many of the competitors. Am actually looking at the new S class to purchase when it hits the market this fall. I have been impressed with what MB has done the last few years. This being said as we are currently also driving a 2014 LS460 (4th LS).
This car is actually a really quiet, comfortable, and very luxurious. It has a responsive engine and is also very reliable and has incredible resale value.

These people just have something against Toyota product, lady go buy a Range rover and spend half your life and savings in the repair shop. Range rover's gave system is one of the slowest and hard to operate but none of these people say any thing bad about it.

very biased review……if u want comfy relaxed riding/driving vehicle, get this lexus and my parents actually own one. For this v8 hater, biased car reviewer, environ-mental pest wants a so called none sluggish ride, go get a go kart-no suspension is complimentary and not even an option u can say no, air or water cooled single cylinder engine, handles better than Ferrari 488 pista with cornering g force similar to formula 1!
Those are the downsides of a true off roader, where it wasn't tested in this review.
I drove the 2017 MERCEDES BENZ gls550 and it's more enjoyable to drive

Audi Q7 over this any day. And this from a long time Land Cruiser fan.
pb m two different segments. The Q7 compared directly with the GX. AUDI doesn't have a vehicle to compete with the LX. Besides the Q7 can't touch the off road capabilities of the LX.
Daniel Adade yes, I can appreciate that they're in different segments, but in terms of how Americans are using luxury SUVs today, the Audi Q7 is superior in almost every way. On road ride and dynamics, technology, fuel economy, etc.
