This is how i imagined a retired demon hunter is. Just staying in the woods because he still like to hunt, just not demons. But he can never escape his past. That's why his senses are that responsive
At 0:43 we can see he really does go hunting regularly. But maybe the animals in the forest he lives at aren’t normal and quite possibly demonic or supernatural.
I like how smart both the hunter and the predator were, like, everyone praises the hunter for thinking of barricading himself in a safe room and taking the proper procedures but no one ever praises the monster’s ingenuity, it purposefully made sounds on the other side of the house to push the hunter to the living room and whether purposefully or not, it made noises on the roof so that the hunter would expect it to come from above before ambushing him from the side, and not to mention, it was smart enough to know that it had to block the cellar door as it was an exit point.
A lot of people are saying this guy survived but aren't explaining it so I'll take care of it. At the end as the bigger monster rushed him down we watch as he wips around a blast the thing, we actually see the muzle flash right before it goes dark, given he already killed the little one with 2 shots and landed a 3rd on the big one before this, plus the fact that he definitely got a head shot or at worse a body shot, the big ones definitely dead. the issue for him is the fact that the thing was rushing him, so depending on its weight would decide what happenes next. Its got to weight at least as much as a horse based off its physical build, given the small space it had to rush him it probably wasn't going supper fast but throwing out its wings like it did would give it a boost in that short distance thanks to thrusting some force behind itself. With these parameters the point blank blast wouldn’t be enough to knock the creature back but would be enough to reduce its momentum. the creature would still crash into him and depending on what species of horses weight we use would decide his fate. if we assume a Falabella (the smallest horse species, very unlikely to be its weight) then at worse hes gonna get some bruises, mabey a concusion if he smackes his head into the stairs but ultimately the only issue would be pushing open the trapdoor which he can easily do if he uses both hands. if there a quarter horses weight (most common horse there is and its most likely weight) were gonna have a bit more of a problem as there typically 900+ pounds, adding momentum means this thing has a chance of breaking the stairs and mabey even breaking some of the mans bones based on how it collides with him, but ultimately as long as both arms and his back are intact he should be fine since he should still have 2 rounds in the shotgun at least, just a matter of where the body of the monster lands and how much effort he needs to gut to the trapdoor. worst case scenario that thing is as heavy as a Shire (heaiest horse in the world, weighs 2,400+ pounds) with momentum it has a high chance of smashing the stairs and breaking bones when it crashes and it will hurtle a fair bit away from the trapdoor, luckily humans can ignore a lot of pain and preform impressive feets when adrenaline starts pumping, and since hes an avid hunter he has some decent physical abilities, he can probably still save himself after the beast is dead as long as he can move his legs and arms, but it is his lowest survival chance.
man😳...it's been a long time since I've felt this kind of feeling, it's like fear with tension but it's just different it hits different. I wish I had found this channel sooner.

"And after that, I moved out of those woods. As fate would have it, moving was how I ended up meeting your mother, heh. But...I'll never forget that night." "Yeah, okay dad. There you go with your crazy stories again."

I used the car phone to call the cops and told them there was a pile of mould with human parts in it to ensure the cops came, promising I would tell them the truth when they arrived.
I get vivid dreams which is cool, but I also get vivid nightmares too.
Also I am rarely 'me' during the nightmares I'm usually following the viewpoint of someone else...

When I was young, I dreamed that a group of children and I were a nanny who hid us in the house. It was human, and a few cockroaches, I think. After presenting some events, we took some of us outside to see what happened to the world. You would not expect what happened. We were occupied by giant cockroaches, and remember that one of them was Flying and a giant one coming out of the ground. It's weird, but not scary

As much as folks like to demonize hunters, based off his skill and trophies, I feel he might have a high chance of winning.
That said, HOLY FUCK that is horrifying.

Even though this was six years ago, I want to say man you did an amazing job on the animation and the story is beautiful
The doom hunter is crazy with his super shotgun
1:09 You know he's kickass when he takes a seat
I was wondering why this was so good… then I realized this is David… love your animations mate especially midnight snack
Update: just watched other lily and rewatched midnight snack BRO WHY ARE YOUR ANIMATIONS SO AWESOME this is the stuff you don’t see on CZcams anymore and I love it
The question is did he survive and I say yes he did survive because he is not like most other horror movie characters that are just stupid and always pick the wrong options that are always scared for their lives. This guy is always calm and composed he knows what’s going on and secondly, I feel like this is just every day for him because, when he was about to fall asleep. He got flashbacks to maybe yesterday or a couple years ago. And his reaction time is on point. He already knows what he has to do and I believe that he survived if you have your own series, write them in the replies or just comment them
I mean he probably killed it but how is he going to get out of the basement
@@russman3787 Hole in the wall the monster made when it got there
@@WeaponXSigma there’s no way that hole would stay open. You can see how it squeezed through and it looks like it closed behind it.
It would be not so difficult to think that the guy actually lived. Cauz' if we watch this 2:04 at slow speed then we can notice that he shot the monster right before the monster lunges into the guy.
I legit rewinded and slowed down the video to the point where I paused it and was rapidly pressing pause and play until I got to the *jumpscare* just to say”ooh pretty” and take a screenshot of it
Watching these horror animations one after the other is like going down a rabbit hole ... And I fucking love it!
this animation style is amazing.
hoping a show can be made like this one day
its amazing how much you learn about this character through simple show don't tell. Such amazing work this one is
Here before the Coryxkenshin comments come in lol
Dear Leader same
Lol
Indeed
Nice
how did you know
Nice action sequence and the creature concept is really nicely done!
Well, judging by the number of trophies in his house, he is quite an experienced hunter. It was simply interesting to watch him, he even found a few free seconds to drink from a flask.
Let's hope the man managed to survive.
It shows that he is experienced in this and how he calmly handles the situation without losing control of himself.
Well, of course he was stressed, but he didn’t lose his head. Well, in general he is quite an interesting person, even if he has a couple of free seconds to drink from a flask.

This might be my favorite of David's animations it's just perfectly paced and it's short and sweet
I just stumbled across these animations, Im so glad I did. Amazing work! You are such an underrated artist, and deserve way more credit. :D keep up the awesome work!

I have a feeling the man acted so calm and had good reaction timing because he's dealt with those things wayyyy more than once
1:33 kinda sounds like he’s saying “turn around… turn around…”
Holy It does, I didn't even realize that detail at first
Anyone want to share any theories for this story?
Man lives in the jersey pine barrens, kills a Jersey Devil’s mate. Devil tries to get man

I think the guy lives because he suit home with a shot gun in the head
I Think The Man Lived But Heavily Hurt, Like Missing An Arm Kind Of Hurt
I don’t have anything I can just say that he did a nice three 60
I saw this video 3 years ago and recently saw it on YT shorts again. I'm still really fucking impressed by your work. Keep at it, dude! You're awesome!
Damn, the artist left us on a cliff hanger that will probably will never be solved.
I think he won
Might not have made it be it sure as hell didnt
I study Physics, but nobody needs to, to be able to tell that he probably survived that, doubt the force of that thing would've killed him, would've bumped into him but a lot of the blast from the shotgun would dampen the effect. Just my two cents
@@SStupendous no one rlly realized that even though if he survived he’s still trapped in the cellar basement with no way out (and I doubt he can burrow out like the Jersey-Devil)
@@coffinboy556 "With no way out" - The Jersey Devil back there materialized through the wall then? Wait, no... made a massive tunnel from the ground to the basement wall. Easy way through.

I thought at first he was hunting boars and then it turns out its a "Tamara spider horse" with wing and jeez it's amazing

I like to think that he managed to kill it and survived
Saw all your stuff on "Chilling Tales". Great work. You can really see the time you put in on these.
I love how he bangs the trap door up but theres clearly a handle for pulling

i love how the man is very calm and acts like everything is under control
ending, he killed the big devil and cooked it for dinner and lived happily.
1:38 is it a evil long horse?
NICE ending, keep up the good work
I like how smart both the hunter and the predator were, like, everyone praises the hunter for thinking of barricading himself in a safe room and taking the proper procedures but no one ever praises the monster’s ingenuity, it purposefully made sounds on the other side of the house to push the hunter to the living room and whether purposefully or not, it made noises on the roof so that the hunter would expect it to come from above before ambushing him from the side, and not to mention, it was smart enough to know that it had to block the cellar door as it was an exit point.
Absolutely love the style of drawing!!! Cabin layout very reminiscent of Evil Dead. Keep up the good work!!!
That bust in through the door part always makes me jump.
Ok, these animations are some of the scariest I've seen in while, very well done.
I live right near Leeds Point NJ and I’ve seen a lot of JD themed stuff, but this is probably the most badass JD thing I’ve seen.
I love the art style, there should really be like a show about this
Wow I’m surprised this doesn’t have more views. This is great
Doom slayer wants to know your location
That nod to Evil Dead is just… Chef’s Kiss!
Where's the nod?

Thing about being badass is you dont start out that way, you just get used to violence.
Is it just me or is it saying "turn around" at 1:32 ?
No shit he's saying turn around, his dream was warning him.
Tiene sentido por qué el monstruo aparece de atras
The dude just made a masterpiece

Dude's reaction time was on point so he def got it
This was hands down one of the coolest things I’ve seen in a long time.
He def survived but most likely sustained some sort of injury considering how big it is and how fast it was moving. His reaction time was next to perfect and that bullet went straight down that demon’s throat. It’s dead. Especially taking into account that it was already injured.
I like to imagine that he killed the thing like if he was the doom slayer
