    This depends on the type of forest, and type of tree species and the type of climate you are in, the season is 12 months that the forest has to live through to get the next year completed

      There are issues that varies with the whole ecosystem of the whole forest

    Healthy/productive forests are a GREAT THING!!, you have to manage your forest for timber production every 20-40 years to have a healthy forest....

    Amen Brother, Amen! Good forestry includes a significant portion of a woodland devoted to young, emerging forests with high stem densities, and native, under-story shrubs that need this disturbance. Hey, in order to grow a thick, attractive beard, what do they tell ya? Shave it close a couple times first then, watch come-in. Same applies to timber.

      Scott Schaeffer nononononono you DO NOT want an overcrowded, overstocked stand. You do not want high stem densities.
