- Jönköping is a city in southern Sweden located on the shore of Lake Vättern. When we have been on a road trip in Europe via Sweden, then since we have to be at the port quite early on the last day, we have spent the previous night in this country. Jönköping is ideally located for that, but it is certainly not the only reason why we have chosen this city. The old town is quite big with fantastic wooden houses and of course you can get there also a good food and drink.
