    The bass drumline is smoking good.

    All the snare players have a different approach to the drum. All different levels of stiffness in their hands. No one has the same bead heights. Everyone’s rotation is different. Lots of dirt still.

      i noticed that too. dirty line this year. i want scv to win drums but i'd settle for the blue coats.

    this book is full of licks tbh. just rammming notes atp. whole lotta dirt for it being almost august 😭 ik bd always gets crazy clean in finals week but boston is pretty much unbeatable rn!

    my luke warm take is that BD is ramming notes but the book isn't nearly as spicy or fun as vanguard

    Really bums me out that BD won’t win drums this year. They are just not there. Too dirty for it being almost August. Forever BD though 💙

      This is from July 16th. This video was taken almost 2 weeks ago.

      BD is notorious for getting really clean in the last week. They’re not out of the race quite yet

      @@mel-px7hlwith how the other corps have started clean and kept with it I don’t believe that they will be able to hold up. Boston is practically unbeatable rn if they don’t lose it in these last two weeks bd doesn’t really do it for many people this year unfortunately

      @@Eggmcmuffin_ you’re failing to look at this objectively. Just because BD “doesn’t do it for many people” doesn’t mean they don’t have the formula to get clean for finals week. The proof is in the recaps.
      Not to mention, let’s not forget how Boston has been “unbeatable” for the past 2 years up until Allentown, where they burn out and end up in 4th-5th in drums in Indy. It’d be great for them to get a Sanford, but Colin’s team has proven they can’t maintain a line through the whole season.

    I’m starting to think that every aspect of BD’s drumline is overrated! From the talent of the kids to the coaching skills of the staff to the quality of the writing. Year after year, the CLEANLINESS and CLARITY just isn’t there. It might be time for BD to seriously contemplate a top-to-bottom overhaul of how they handle the percussion side of their organization. The current formula does not exactly appear to be working!

      Now the real question is: who asked for all of this?

    • @iLLuminatedWithDren
      @iLLuminatedWithDren Před měsícem

      Because they win in everything exponentially more than any other group. You’re wrong

      @@iLLuminatedWithDren I’m the biggest BD fan alive. Look at my damn username. 😂 I never said they aren’t the best overall corps or that they don’t win the most. But in terms of percussion specifically, the Sanfords just haven’t been there on any kind of consistent basis, and it’s not really that hard to see why. They need to tighten some things up, to say the least!

      @@BDizDaBest I am a huge BD fan with ya. I can agree 100% on your statement. They aren’t what they used to be. Sure they can win, but the battery isn’t what it was from the 90’s-mid 2000’s badass era. They don’t have the grit like they used to. You used to be afraid of what was under the shako.

      I marched 2000 and they weren’t really clean till way before finals. Even back then.
