Dumanjug is located 128 kms. from Cebu City. Bordered by Barili and Ronda (North & South), Sibonga and Tañon Strait (East & West). Also known as the "Land of Golden Friendship", Dumanjug is the hometown of three Governors of Cebu including the incumbent Gov. Gwendolyn Fiel Garcia.
I rode my bike (Siloy- Yamaha MT03) from the city to Dumanjug to check and roam around the town. I have been to this town many times but I didn't have the chance to really explore a little further. Oftentimes, I just pass by the town when going to other municipalities like Moalboal and Badian. But on this day, I got more curious of what's Dumanjug beyond what you can see when just passing by.
Upon entering the town, I stopped by Tangil Wharf area to capture aerial footage of the pier that has trips to Guihulngan, Negros Oriental. Then I proceeded to the town's sentro to enjoy its beautiful and expansive Jakosalem Plaza & St. Francis of Assisi Parish. Seeing for the first time in person the historical Ka Patoy Well (Tabay ni Ka Patoy) and the boulevard at the back of its Macoy Megadome.
I also viewed the beautiful and well-preserved Dumanjug Central School and Dumanjug Municipal Hall. Then checking also the progress of the on-going construction of the town's public market. After, I drove my bike back to Brgy. Bitoon to see for myself the sweeping beach resort (Baybay Beach Resort) before I went to Dumanjug's pride- Empiangs Native Chicken Inasal in Tapon. I had a sumptuous brunch and also ordered another one for take-away.
Then, I decided to explore more further in the mountain areas of Dumanjug. Initially, I planned to travel as far as Brgy. Masa to see and enjoy the waters of Cambanog Falls. But there was a developing dark clouds in the sky which limited me to only seeing Leloan Falls in Brgy. Kabalaasnan. There, I flew my drone and inspected where the river comes from beyond Leloan Falls. I also enjoyed the on-going construction of somewhat like an esplanade beside the river.
I had so much fun in every part of it. And, for sure, I will be back in Dumanjug to explore more in the future

Bai 73km ng Dumanjug gikan city. Kana statue dili na si Julian Macoy. Father na ni Julian si former Mayor Jose Serna Macoy the longest serving Mayor of Dumanjug. Julian is indeed former basketball player of the USC warriiors.

Just be cautious in buying land, don’t go through agents, they’d jack up the price sometimes double of what the owners is asking for, especially when they know you’re working abroad. If possible negotiate directly with the owner. Be smart, don’t get pressured by these agents, look as many as you can and compare before you decide.
