From his helmet to motocross boots, Maddo was dressed for FMX when he took his dirt bike into the unchartered saltwater terrain of the Pacific Ocean in French Polynesia.
For nearly two years Robbie has been focused on making surfing on his motorbike a reality. His efforts paid off in Tahiti, where he rode the world famous waves at Teahupoo and Papara.

BUUUrrrrrrrrrrrrr funny thing, they were actually using 450 4-strokes because they worked better, but ended up using a 2-stroke only because rebuilding the engine was quicker.
joshuamoore13 Maddo stated the 4T did not work well enough stop making shit up! why do they need to rebuild in such a hurry? if he doesn't make it that bike is going to the bottom.......2T's don't need rebuilding as often as 4T's anyway...
+MrKdr500 You must be stupid. 2Strokes need to be rebuilt much more often than 4Strokes, in any application. And if your dumbass would actually read his article, you'd know they switched from 450 4's to 2's simply because rebuild time was much easier after they sank the bike. He didn't do this shit on his first try.
joshuamoore13 comparing 2T motorcross bike to a 4T motorcross bike the 4T will require a rebuild more often than a 2T....you clearly have never owned a modern 2 stroke. Honda CRF450R manual states every 15 hour for new piston.....not that anyone does it that often but the 4T will wear out valves before the 2T needs a rebuild....dumbass hey? instead of reading/watching youtube like you i'm out riding real bikes....LMAO. cockhead!
joshuamoore13 He's not stupid. 4T definitely has some serious advantages, like not needing to be rebuilt nearly as much. For pure P:W ratio, 2T is still where it's at though. Also that cool mosquito on steroids sound. Even if it's not popular with manufacturers, which is because of pollution control laws.

***** Actually, you need a dirtbike plus some BIG modifications:
· A "shovel tyre" (I don't know the name in English)
· Whatever that thing is that transforms the front into a small board that floats
· A big engine (I don't think any standard engine can pull enough horsepower to make a bike float on water with the shovel tyre)
***** those mods are not hard to do. Also big engine is too heavy and it's no good here.
***** Its a normal Ktm 250 two stroke. Light and hugely powerfull
***** people hydroplane with stock bike stoc tire going fast enough.. others go slower with a paddle tire so i feel like this would be easy to make

lostinbrisbane It wasn't 30-40 bikes. It was 30-40 engines. They just took the engine apart and re-built it rather than swapping bikes. They did this because they were testing different engines on the bikes, but settled for a 2stroke as it was quicker to rebuild and power wasn't needed

@@jezerellaga6599 You probably don't get it. This is a timeless debate in the Dirt Biking hobby of whether a 2 or 4 stroke motor is best.
2 strokes motors are very snappy kicky motors, good for a snappy throttle. 4 strokes have more torque and better with heavier motorbikes, or things that move at more constant speeds.
