- Goto www.berklee.edu/summer to get information about learning more soloing ideas and to improve your musical skills this summer at Berklee. Here is a 10 minute private lesson on improvising solos by trumpet teacher and Berklee College of Music Professor Jeff Stout. In this clip, he tells how to come up with ideas you can use to play hot solos.

studied with Jeff in the early 90"s......love this. Great!
great video. im glad to find this trumpet professor actually play's very well plus he explains things very very well.
BRAVO JEFF STOUT!
i watched this video back in highschool. still damn great advice to this day!
Thank you Mr. Stout, that was an extremely informative lesson. Free trumpet lessons are hard to come by on the Internet; seems the only teaching being done is how to buzz your lips or hit a triple high G, ha. I so appreciate your lesson, thanks again.
thank you for this mr. stout, i hope meet you in Italy at uj clinics
this was so helpful. jeff is the man! thanks a lot
thank you.
my name is jeff
is it important to do them in every key. can I get by with just the main keys? up to 4 sharps 4 flats?
That's what i did but my first year in college was difficult because i rarely played in F sharp major or similar keys
great!! so awesome, where can i get a free partiture to this scales and chromatic and interval flush of sounds??
You should contact him at the college directly.
