Mb Main here. Good thing now more players will not just try to spam beatdown thinking it breaks block after watching this vid (75% of mb players i fought do that, dont ask me why).
Also I just wanna mention some additional things if it helps more mb players.
1. If u downslam and miss ur homerun when ur opp ragdolls, try to move away from the opp to not get punished with the missed variant.
2. When using metal bat ult, try to stay a distance from ur opp to be able to use savage tornado or brutal beatdown bcos yes obviously theres startup.
3. There is NO true one shot combo for metal bat (i may be heavily wrong lol but its just my skill issue XD) but ofc some still deal very high dmg.

theres a 1 shot combo that i use for mb but needs tree or wall to work (it can be used in the 1v1 arena cuz it doesnt need the wall combo) just do slow m1 and extend your combo with the foul ball variant aiming the target to the wall, then front dash, doing slow m1 again, you can use homerun twice like that, the opponent will die even with 100 health (unless they have counter or ragdoll cancel)

since beatdown always gets evasived i just straight up do grand slam or foul ball after landing it it usually catches them
i tought itd work like a front dash where you can hit an opponent by the back
here's a quick tip from a metal bat main : at the end of your ultimate you can use your death blow (miss variant) in front of group of people to gain like half of your ultimate back (the more people you hit with that - the more ultimate you're gonna gain)

Other notes with MB
Homerun Variant or Grand Slam, holding M1 asap lets you hit them again (however you can block it)
Beatdown gets a extended hitbox at the end of the dash (for some reason).
Jumping and using Foul Ball will delay the slam a tiny bit
Foul Ball has about a 180-ish (inconsistent) angle where you can hit your projectile, meaning the enemy is behind you, you might miss.
With MB's ultimate...
Death Blow (counter) consumes some of your ultimate, meaning using the variant (slam) might be better to maximize the ultimate.
You can force your opponent to take damage or use their evasive with savage tornado.
* If the opponent uses evasive right after savage tornado, use brutal beatdown while they're in the air as they can't reach you in time.
* If they didn't use their evasive, don't use brutal beatdown as they can easily evasive out of the attack, use something like Strength Difference to bait them.
I didn't know that about Death Blow if I'm being honest, but yeah, definitely a lot of useful info (I didn't specify the end bit where you listed the whole evasive thing, solely due to the fact of, I didn't want to jam info down everyone's throats lmfao, but yeah, definitely well said)
Homerun: you can use it very well, if the person is blocking, just do m1 once then do homerun on the opponent or you can instead do homerun when you are close to opponent it is also one of the best move that can block break, plus very easily combo with grand slam or beatdown or Foul ball with aiming.
Beatdown is like one of the worse move, just don't use like he said for second front dash. Is more useful to use for combos with it.
Grandslam: is like one of the best move too, able to combo in air plus able to stun them... However is very glitchy sometime when start of a combo with it. It is able to block break too, very useful when the opponent is putting some distant from u. Is better for u wait for him to back dash then use it to get a free hit with it. Plus you can m1 downslam with if you hit it, starting a combo of homerun, Foul ball and Beatdown.
Foul ball in 1:53 is like one of the best move, he is able block break opponents and have very functioning skills to work with... When you throw ur rock it does more damage then the functioning grabbing, it also start a combo very easily with grand slam.
Passive: when hit you get ur ult bar going up.
He is like a very good character for pvp 1v1 or 2v1.
Ult, Tornado you should not get close to ur opponent, because they cancel ur ability and Burtal beatdown can be cancel too. If ur close to ur oppenet is better u counter, they will be damage 100 percent because that big range Aoe after it or they get one punch by chance. Strength Difference is very ope move if you able to land ur Burtal beatdown then, is more better to use it when ur opponent is close or on the ground, Just get good at aiming with it.
Yeah, Metal Bat is highly underrated solely due to the fact of his slow M1's, but if you can get around that, he has some amazing potential

In the second, a one-shot combo, instead of doing a downslam and then a Grand Slam at the end. You can wait a little while for the enemy to stand up and only then use Grand Slam. The fact is that when the enemy is in ragdoll, the Grand slam deals less damage. If you wait a little, then it will immediately kill the enemy, without the need to use Foul Ball again
The issue is if they have a counter, THAT'S the only issue, but yeah, you're completely correct
home run also can counter moves that actually make you move in one direction
examples can be:
homerun variant (obviously)
flowing water
ingnition burst

My metal bat combo is 4 m1 wait a bit (make sure they don't have ragdoll cancel) homerun grand slam 4 m1 side dash foul ball sidedash beatdown wait 0.5s 4 m1 homerun front dash 1 m1 sidedash away
Also use Death Blow after Tornado or Brutal beatdown for extra damage if your opponent is smart/using garou ult

Mb main here. I found a sick thech if your having a opponent who uses Mb. If they use grandslam make sure they are above your head if they are use grandslam and it will automatically do the alternate grandslam, It does not work all the time.

What I do is
m1(x4 uppercut) homerun side dash foul ball (walk forward a bit) beatdown backdash grandslam
and
m1(x4 uppercut) grandslam(air variant) beatdown m1(x4 downslam) homerun side dash foul ball
Rn im tryna do something that allows you to do damage with a missed foul ball projectile(sometimes if you turn 180 degrees or something you can miss the projectile entirely)
What I tried was an uppercut, sidedash, and then foul ball. But when you try this it hits the player, instead of the projectile variant. It might be possible doing it that way and just that you need to be faster

Also when i use a grand slam and they get hit, i usually use beatdown to catch my opponent or if i use homerun then i can use and aim beatdown but the second one is pretty risky as they have the ragdoll cancel but, is it reliable to use beatdown to catch your opponents?
It just does significantly less damage, but the whole thing of Homerun into Beatdown, yeah, that's also a thing, I just didn't mention it, since once again, less damage compared to being able to downslam them

Prior to changes in Generation IV, all damaging Grass-type moves were special, but they may now also be physical depending on the attack. Grass-type Pokémon are immune to Leech Seed. Grass-type Pokémon are immune to Leech Seed Starting in Generation VI, Grass-type Pokémon are immune to powder and spore moves and Effect Spore.Grass types are tied with Rock in having the most weaknesses out of all types with five. Since Generation I, a particular asset of Grass types is being the only type that is immune to Leech Seed. As of Generation VI, Grass-type Pokémon are also immune to powder and spore moves, such as Sleep Powder and Stun Spore. Contest properties In contests, Grass-type moves are typically Clever moves, but can also be any of the other four contest conditions. As of Generation VIII, there are 112 Grass-type Pokémon or 12.27% of all Pokémon (counting those that are Grass-type in at least one of their forms), making it the third most common type after Normal and before Flying.
A Pokémon with Protean or Libero will become a Grass-type Pokémon if it uses a Grass-type move. A Pokémon with Color Change, Imposter, Mimicry, RKS System, or Multitype will become a Grass-type Pokémon if (respectively) it is hit with a Grass-type move, is sent out against a Grass-type opponent, if the terrain is grassy, if it is holding a Grass Memory, or if it is holding a Meadow Plate or Grassium Z. Metal bat the best combo character in the game. Proof of this is I made a one shop combo that doesn't use any downslams and it still works today (it's on my channel btw)

Why u dint mentioned what u can cancel moves like genos ignition burst Blitz shot and jet dive with grandslam? U can also do a grand slam Clash if ur oponent it's going up to You and u time your grandslam,u can also cancel moves like sonic jumping explosive shuriken

you can grand slam out of homerun and I often use metal bat when I'm doing duos because of ult bar, metal bat is the only reason I have duos ranked 250
Yeah, I'm pretty sure it was either unreliable, or did less damage, is why I didn't put that in (But also, it is slightly self explanatory), but also, yeah, I believe Metal Bat is criminally underrated, solely due to his M1's, but if you can get around that, he has some amazing potential
