This why when I see a confident Jimin, and all the members being confident about themselves I become so happy and full of pride.

The fact that this was really the hardest year fot them.. they went through a lot means A LOT... plagiarism accusations,sajaegi,death threats,, everything...ISTG no group walked on path like BTS did...Many say armys are toxic..but y'all should realise that there is a reason..We are just overprotective of our boys because we only know how armys and bts suffered especially 2015-18.. I'M PROUD OF HOW FAR THEY CAME...THEY REALLY DESERVE WHERE THEY ARE NOW

For BTS to win at that time was unexpected and they did it.

i want to say this. in kpop industry, unless u are under big 3 companies, u rly dont dream abt going as far as reached num 1 in music shows. that even a strech for some underdogs groups. yes, groups under big 3 also works hard, they go thru all the crazy trainings n stuff to meet high expectation of the fans. but the thing is, under big 3 alrdy secured u with promotions, topping music shows, getting awards, events, commercial film, brand ambassador n so many freaking opportunities to gain fans. thanks to their companies influences n control power over the country. but 2016, BTS, THE ONLY group non big 3 awarded 2 of highest awards in kpop just showed how theyve starting the evolution. where finally fans beat over the power n influences. where ARMY finally been recognized as a strong force behind BTS. non kpop fans cld not rly able to grasp how big this is, an underdogs won over big 3 power. adding up everything that i said above, now imagine the INSANITY the sacrifice of effort, time, feeling, phsical n mental health by the boys to get the 2016 recognization. n when u said abt how the bts outgrown kpop genre, thats exactly what we armys fight abt n still fighting til now.
the year is 2022, BTS still gaining so many the FIRSTS in their career n brings even more EVOLUTION in music industry. n the world.
BTS IS A LEGEND. their name wl be carves in history books.
BTS paved the way, I'm so proud to be an Army
2016 was HARD and 2022 they are still rising they have many more years to go they will be bangtan grandpa's and if I'm lucky I might still be around to see it. I'm 50 that's why I'm saying I'll be lucky if I'm still around in 40 years.

you said "it's not even close" and "it's so obvious" that bts were gonna win lol but as an ARMY since 2015 let me tell u.. in 2016 Exo, Twice and Gfriend were EXTREMELY popular and big competitors and had very big fandoms and successful combacks that year such as Exo with "Monster", Twice with "Cheer up" and Gfriend with "Rough".. with the years ofc bts popularity increased on another level and the other artists kinda lost their popularity so now there is no comparison between them but at that time they were all big like BTS or even bigger then them that's why u saw bts crying emotionally and being shocked for winning cuz it was hard and unpredictable who's gonna win that year so yeah bts winning their first daesang and in a year like 2016 that was a BIG archivement for them and they deserved it the most cuz damnnnn Wings is a masterpiece that no album can top at least in my heart

The other groups might have been big but I guess DT meant that the quality of BTS' music was "incomparable" to the other contenders even at that point in time. Others were carried by their "name" while they carried themselves by their craft. :))

My goodness. The price of success. Humility and hard work drives them. They want to please their Army. J-Hope dances with FIRE!!! This was one of the best videos I've ever seen about BTS and their success. I thought I was following closely, but I guest not. They're great! Believe me when I tell all that it's their HUMULITY and DEDICATION and HARD WORK that has taken them this far. They are so DEDICATED to ARMY that they don't know when to stop. Thanks DT. Wings era certainly elevated BTS from the run of mill pop groups, kpop or international groups. Who else wrote songs about philosophical books that were just discussed in the 4 walls of the classroom? And composed by teenagers no less, showed a depth of intellect and introspection that was certainly not common. Bang PD is a visionary. He saw what these guys are capable of and he never let them go and wasted their talents...

I love seeing them get the recognition they deserve and I hate seeing them cry but if it’s for something happy fine, Although Jimin has come a long way and I’m so happy for him he’s still has that mindset of wanting to look better and the others are quick to tell him he’s good as he is like recently Joon said it to him in the live a mindset and what he went through doesn’t leave but can be managed and he seems a bit better.

at this point, other groups are amazing as well. TWICE got nominated for the artist of the year award when when theyre only in their second year. taeyeon is an amazing vocalist, and she is still the queen now. EXO has a huge fandom ever since debut and they were expected to win especially since theyre under SM. Gfriend also released amazing songs and many people no matter what fandom really enjoy the songs. in 2016, BTS has such an amazing year, FIRE was really popular, BST as well. especially with that concept, MV, the sound. overall, amazing. the nominees are all amazing, to say that theyre not even close when you dont actually know them is kinda not it. among all these amazing groups and artists, BTS won the daesang. and THAT makes us even more proud.

Sadly that time im still not yet into them, i actually always thinking big name in kpop like exo or probably taeyeon... in the world of kpop that time u will always expect names from big 3 in every award shows. Thats why its really a big deal not just for them but to the whole kpop community for them to win... glad they really made it and ofc they deserves it 😊💜

In fact it wasn't, those groups were big in Korea ofc they were from big companies but BTS has always been famous abroad, In Korea everyone knows who was running the shows and it was the Big3 So if BTS were just as successful as the big groups they would never show it (y'all know why) until that day but BTS was, they had entered the Billboard charts with I need u a year before and nobody knew not even them. I dare say that at that time BTS was just as famous internationally as any group or soloist from the Big3 so For many fans of kpop or only army's we expected that BTS will win and they did
@@nonalvskoo That's what I was thinking too. That BTS were known well abroad. I knew of them before they debuted and I wasn't living near South Korea or in Asia. I also intuitively knew that they were going to do some amazing things; I was thinking 'they will go do well.' And they did even through all the struggles and hate from others.
