Another classic that is always in demand is the one about the gloves for simracing. Steering wheels that are covered with wild leather unfortunately become greasy after a short time due to hand sweat. This does not feel good and then looks like that. Driving with gloves prevents this.
World record...for a computer game run...slow clap.
@@Older_Mountain-goat_1984 For no one actually having to risk their lives for such a time? Agreed. 😊
@@Forb-sh5uj To me, for any time, and not just the difficulties the world is experiencing at the moment.
I find this pride, or sense of extreme accomplishment in computer gaming quite odd, but perhaps this is a new phenomena for this generation who spends most of their time, thus life, in virtual reality instead of the real reality...thus their existence in virtual worlds is as real to them as their offline life.
Other vids that boggle my mind have titles such as - 'I survived 100 days in mindcraft'.
Really...survived?
@@Older_Mountain-goat_1984 Esports and other virtual achievements will surpass physical sports in the near future. Both in participation levels and monetary values. Every major traditional sport is declining. As such, achievements in Esports and games have as much or more meaning for younger folks as traditional sports did for previous generations. There's a lot of reasons for that. Main one being accessibility. Even someone very under (or over) sized can partake as long as they can use a mouse and keyboard, or controller or other peripheral so it's open to vast majority of people.
@@Older_Mountain-goat_1984 Okay tough guy, why don't you pull up the amount of capital required to race in any racing series for a whole season. Sim racing is far cheaper than that, and there's still a sense of accomplishment in it. And not only that, but real F1 drivers also use simulators to train for real racing, as well as participate in e-sports racing competitions.
You're just too old to understand. Why don't you beat your wife instead?
This guy is insane, high speeds and no helmet.
Lol..so true😂
Yet he doesnt use the clutch pedal
@@Chris-hw4mq ikr I noticed that too
Neither seat belt 🤣
It's not the speed you have to worry about, it's the sudden stopping that gets you.
Wow that was so incredible. Anyone who has played Dirt Rally 2.0 will know how hard it is to drive fast and cleanly for a whole stage without crashing. The speed he was traveling at, with manual gears....simply incredible. The amount of skill and dedication it took to achieve this is worthy of praise. Well done mate.
He's amazing, but manual gears only really require a lot of skill with a clutch (which he wasn't using).
@@Silvera-Avian Honestly, manual gears don't require that much extra skill with a clutch. It definitely has a learning curve to it but you'll get used to it pretty quick. If you can drive stick and have done track racing with a H-pattern gearbox and a clutch it should be pretty much second nature to you within a week or two, or much less, depending how quick of a learner you are. The shifting process is physically a more complicated and time-consuming task though so you can't quite run through gears as quickly as with a dogbox or a fully sequential gearbox (hence why high-performance rally cars and track cars all have them) meaning you will be inevitably losing time but being able to do it and drive fast isn't all that much harder. It's just not very practical or convenient.
@@tommisaarinen2394 right it's mostly time consuming.
You know, it's not hard when you love what you're doing, i spent hours upon hours every day on gran turismo, my dream is to built a setup like this guy, and i'll never see the sunlight again.
@@Silvera-Avian ya know about straight cut gears?
Bro! Don't you know ? You need a ROLL CAGE!
That is insane driving. Some dedication it must have took to reach this level. Oh and that setup, what else can bring more pride and satisfaction for a racing enthusiast

hard is this!
By the time he had finished this I'd be about 80 crashes deep and be at about the 4th turn. Its so impressive how realistic it seems, but I've always wished it was a little more arcadey. It's too frustrating for me to play.

After feels like 5,000 comments on the same topic over and over again about why I don't use the clutch, let me explain why. I only use the clutch to start off and not to shift up or down. When shifting up, all you need to do with a motorsport dog box gearbox is to briefly interrupt the ignition or briefly lift the throttle. With sequential motorsport transmissions, the ignition interruption is the normal case because these usually have a dog box transmission. When downshifting, the gearbox is only in overrun by the drive train and not by the engine under load. This also works with a normal motorbike transmission as long as there is no load from the engine. This is completely normal in motocross, for example. In gravel rallies, you can even use this with rear-wheel-drive vehicles when downshifting to overbrake so that the rear end moves in the desired direction. But you can also continue to use the clutch ... ;-)
👏👏👏
It doesn't look like you're letting off the throttle on upshifts though. ??

That was IMPRESSIVE well driven!!
3 mins in I checked the timer because it felt like I had already been watching for 15. This mans driving is so good he literally bent time for me. Respect.
I'm so bad that 3 minutes of watching feels like a whole day. 😭
Bit late to the party, as I just found this guy's channel, (yes I did read the pinned comment) but for all wondering about him not using the clutch it's because he doesn't have it activated in-game. I've played this game for over a year, I've tested the ins and outs of the clutch system in this game and with this specific car. It is physically impossible to upshift and downshift without using the clutch when H-Pattern + Clutch is selected. The reason he is able to do so is because he has ONLY H-Pattern shifting enabled in-game, which completely disables the clutch altogether, not the H-pattern AND Clutch option, which forces the use of the clutch for shifting. Thought I'd clear this up for anyone who's still confused or wanting to learn how to do this.
Sehr geil! Kriegt man gleich Gänsehaut 🤯!
Ein Traum von einem Setup!
Your a beast bro, I thought I could drive. Well impressed. Top Notch skills 👌👍
The silliest grin kept showing up on my face when watching this. It looks like so much fun! Good job breaking the world record :)
Driving at this level seems like it almost wouldn't even be fun anymore, it's SO INTENSE! Just watching it makes my palms sweat with adrenaline. Crazy stuff.
Adrenaline is what MAKES it fun for a lot of people.
But I understand what you're saying. Especially knowing you're on a great run, it'd put so much more pressure on you haha
i cant speak for his level but ive set some top 1000 times in group b and as hard as it is to land a perfect run, its so much fun. im on a t300 though so less ffb
Yeah he'd probably be really good at things in real life. To bad he's wasting it as if time stands still. The whole point of video games is to keep the people docile. Sad but true, the only thing he's really winning is his own enslavement. Someday he'll understand and so will everyone else.
@@drewjohnson4794 there are semi pros and pros that uses sims like these to practice. How do you know if he is not a competitive driver? Also, video game tournaments is a thing and people are making a living out of them. Time flies ain’t it?

most records are broken simply with a logitech wheel. Although not as immersive, the feedback from the wheel gives way more information than controller vibration.
@@drftr6073 yep. For example dirt rally Jyrskysjärvi world record (its old nowadays but still fast af) was made with a G29. And in assetto corsa (at least when I used to play) the fastest laps were driven with G25/27 wheels

Ну хотя бы ещё приблизить по максимуму
Там наверное даже запах появляется в "салоне" после двухсот км./ч. как в реале...😄
Man these are educational for me lol. Seeing how you drive is helping me to understand certain nuances that aren't always obvious, like efficient shifting on corners and even how to just steer/use the throttle in certain scenarios.
You'll find that with good racing Sims, you actually can feel the cars traction when you use gear shifts, Much much faster, good racers make Sims look like arcade racing but really, it's a lot of skill, this guy is epic 👍

@@szymi5005 I mean, like in real life, I don't know how to explain it, it doesn't look like you have 50 km/h while you're running in the game with more than 200 km/h.
It's mostly the Field Of View, I'm not so sure it's correctly setup for this screen (fov angle too big). He is amazing of course no matter the FOV but I would look into that to make it as realistic as possible too, considering all the other work that was put into this rig.
This puts my aim racing/rallying to shame. Can't stress enough how fast and clean that is. I am a hard-core sim driver but hats off to you mate🙌🙌👏
Mate your a world champion! Brilliant!
I would love for this guy to have a go on the same stage in real life and have a WRC rally driver have a go on his setup. Great video, I've tried this stage and crash after around 10 seconds using my G27. Also, is that a G27 wheel I spot to the left of the room?
Impressing using the std. H-gear instead of sequential shifter, which in rally is easier. The throttle feeding instead of using clutch is Senna-like. This guy should convert into real world rally. Most impressing.

I freakin love the scream at the end. Pure joy 🥲
Well done, I know how hard these driving simulators are
Tips for new drivers: your car will turn tighter if you put weight on the front inside wheel, this can be done by braking and turning to the outside of the corner before hitting the corner and flicking the wheel left. Along with this also chain left and right corners together as the same weight trick applies

No need to know the track...with time when the copilot speak the road is building up in your mind... so you know exactly what's coming...in rally they don't have practice its the point of rally racing...the copilot indications
@@patrickboudreau4703 in Rally you get to drive the track a few times before the actual race.
Ho i didn't known that
@patrickboudreau4703 The driver does a 'recce' of the stages with his co driver. During this the driver dictates the notes to the co driver, who writes them down.
These are the notes that are then used in the stage. Hence, every driver will have slightly different notes.
So, the pace notes are made up from the driver doing a slow run through the stage and telling his co driver what to write down.
