to answer your question about Sirius: he is an Animagus. but it’s not something a wizard is born with. it’s a very complicated and tedious process to voluntarily turn yourself into one, and Animagi have to register with the Ministry so they can keep track of them. Sirius never registered and is therefore an illegal Animagus.
and with Neville’s parents - they don’t go into enough detail with it really. most people believe Neville’s parents are dead due to the wording but they were just tortured into insanity, and lost their memories. they’re permanent residents at the UK Wizarding Hospital and Neville often visits them even though they don’t recognize him. Bellatrix is not related to Neville, but she is related to Sirius. they’re cousins. the person blacked out next to Bellatrix is Andromeda, her sister. they have another sister named Narcissa. Andromeda isn’t dead, but she was outcasted from the family due to marrying a Muggleborn named Ted Tonks. Andromeda and Ted are Nymphadora Tonks’ parents. this makes Nymphadora related to Sirius, Bellatrix, and Draco since Narcissa is Draco’s mother. so yes, Bellatrix is Draco’s aunt and Draco and Tonks are cousins. :)
And Sirius left his family for the Potters when he was 16 because he would not live with his death eater family.
Technically, Neville is distantly related to the Blacks as nearly all pure blooded wizarding families in Britain are related to each other to some extent.

Nymphadora Tonks was a Hufflepuff at Hogwarts and is recently graduated (i believe she graduated the school year before Harry’s first year), and she’s what’s known as a Metamorphmagus, which means she carries a gene that allows her to change her appearance at will. it’s why her hair color changes and she can morph her face into animals like it’s nothing. they really didn’t do Tonks justice in the films, they don’t explain anything about her story or family (the Metamorphmagus thing and the fact that she’s Draco’s cousin) and she barely gets screentime. kind of disappointing 😮💨

I don't know if anyone commented about this but, part of the reason why Neville struggled with magic was that he was using his dad's old wand. He and the wand never really melded because 'the wand chooses the wizard'. When he got a new wand he was able to do better. Not to mention, Neville had a lot of pressure from his grandma to be as impressive as his parents and never seemed to live up to it.
Actually, Snape is very skilled with that type of magic, he was just caught off guard when Harry cast the shield spell.

Harry was DEEPLY troubled by what he saw in Snape's memories, I always loved that in the book depiction, because movie-Harry doesn't seem to give a fuck.. He contacted Lupin and Sirius who explained to him that the hate and rivalry between them was mutual, and James was not really a bullying person to anyone else but Snape because Snape had already dabbled in the dark arts and showed his true colors by calling Lily (Harry's mother who was at school with them) a mudblood (equivalent to the n-word for witches with muggle parents). It calmed Harry down to find this out, because he related so much to Snape in that memory because he was bullied so much by cousin Dudley. ALSO, when Harry tells Snape in code that Voldemort had taken Sirius, Snape instantly went to make sure that Sirius was safe in Grimmauld Place. HP and the order of phoenix truly is Snape's movie I feel, haha, I just love the character exploration.
Another thing, in the final fight between Dumbledore and Voldemort, Dumbledore's powers really show in that he managed to constantly make sure Harry didn't 't get in the way AND stick to just fend off Voldy's attacks without attacking back, because the prophecy says that Harry has to kill him and he's not powerful enough for that yet..
thing is, James didn't just bully Snape, it was well known that he and Sirius bullied other kids at Hogwarts all the time up until 7th year when they (at least James) just targeted Snape. and Snape dabbling in the Dark Arts is _not_ why they started picking on him, Sirius and James started everything on the Hogwarts Express on the way to their first year when Snape said he wanted to be in Slytherin and they picked on him for no reason for it. and Lily even asked James once why they picked on him so much, and James said it was "because he was there". so many people still spread this false info about The Marauders and Snape...
@@im_azraelle I do 100% agree with what you’re saying but tbh I think the slytherin vs gryffindor thing is more than just for no reason, they were still in the wrong but at this point the first wizarding war was kicking off, and slytherin’s especially had a bad name to it with how it was mostly people from their side who joined Voldemort or did bad stuff. It is very silly but the whole slytherin hatred which isn’t fair on everyone in that house is deeper and more ingrained in how they think. It’s even still the same when Harry’s at school.
That’s not me disagreeing or anything but it’s just a point that I also see it as, James is a bully and horrible to certain people. Especially Snape I imagine he mainly is horrible to slytherin’s and I think he has this twisted idea that he thinks it’s fine because they are seen as the ‘bad house.’ We do know he hates everything to do the dark arts and stuff and is considered a blood traitor, it’s adds to this weird complex he has where he thinks he’s better than everyone. Especially slytherin’s in general.
They didn't bully him because he called Lily a mudblood. He called her a mudblood after the bullying when he was angry and humiliated that she had to come and help him and tell off James. The bullying had been going on well before that, just because they thought it was fun. Yes Snape is a shit who got neck deep in the dark arts, but the lengths people go to to excuse Sirius and James is ridiculous. At least they grew out of it and became decent men. Which is what Lupin and Sirius try to explain to reassure Harry. Although I think Sirius never really matured. He spent 12 years in Azkaban and it stunted him. He was reckless and saw Harry too much like a James replacement, when really he was meant to be his godfather and be responsible.

a lot of people think the movies from this point on are bland but personally I feel like they expanded the universe in a subtle way and grounded the wizarding world to make it more realistic. it's not in your face. the duel between dumbledore and voldemort is straight fire and the CGI is chef's kiss. they brought in choreographers to help with the duels in the department of mysteries.
Moody was never really a teacher because, as we know from the previous part, he was impersonated by Barty Crouch Jr. at Hogwarts.
Of the more important characters in the films, it was with Moody that Moody came to Harry's house with Nimphadora Tonks, who is a metamorphmagus and can change appearance, graduated from Hogwarts where she was in Hufflepuff, is related to the Black, Lestrange and Malfoy families, recently became an Auror (very demanding job in in the wizarding world, something like a magical police force chasing warlocks and wizards breaking the law. To become an Auror you had to get very high grades at Hogwarts and pass many complicated exams and be a powerful wizard in general) helped by Moodie's protection and support, she joined the Order of the Phoenix .
The black wizard is Kingsley Shackelbolt, a member of the Order of the Phoenix and currently one of the best Aurors working for the Ministry, which proves that he was a very skilled wizard.
Elfias Doge is an elderly man in a cap, he is one of Dumbledore's closest friends and the last female is Emmelina Vance.
So none of them have ever been a professor.
Ms Figg was a Squib, a person born into a magical family but devoid of magical powers, just like Argus Filch. So they belonged to a magical society, but they were devoid of magical powers, so they couldn't do magic.

Neville's parents suffered a fate worse than death because they were tortured in to insanity. Not just by Bellatrix but by Barty Crouch Junior; which makes him subjecting Neville to the effects of the curse in the previous movie more fucked up. They are still alive, in the book for this film Harry, Ron and Hermione meet them when visiting Ron's Dad at the hospital (they also meet Professor Lockhart but that's another story) it's very upsetting and completely ignored by the films. I understand but it always annoyed me .

A good way to get immersed in the world of Harry Potter, is read the books. Because in the movies, a lot of important details were left out from the books due to time constraints.

Another reason to read the books, is because during when she was doing her observations, there was a lot more to it. She interviewed Mcgonagall, and Mcgonagall got, told her off a little bit.
Neville’s parents are alive in St Mungo’s, a Wizarding Hospital. They were tortured into insanity by Bellatrix Lestrange. Neville visits his parents but they don’t know who he is.

The torture didn't kill them, but it did drive them insane, so that they were placed in the magical Saint Mungo's Hospital, and Neville was given to be raised by his grandmother, with whom he often visited his parents, but they were so damaged that they couldn't even pose for him and they just existed without any awareness. So Sirius told Harry that he thought Neville's parents had met a fate worse than death.
43:55 Sirius came from the pure-blood Black wizarding family, though he was really nothing like them. First things first, Bellatrix is Sirius' first cousin, and was Bellatrix Black at birth, though changed her last name to Lestrange after marrying Rodolphus Lestrange. So was Narcissa and Andromeda, Bellatrix's sisters and who also were Sirius' first cousins. Narcissa was born Narcissa Black, though became Narcissa Malfoy after marrying Lucius Malfoy, and becoming the mother of Draco Malfoy. So yes, Sirius is related to Draco as a maternal cousin once-removed. The other family member blacked out on the tree next to Bellatrix was Andromeda, Andromeda Black, or rather Andromeda Tonks after she marries Ted Tonks. She is on the family tree but never makes a physical appearance throughout the 7 movies (in the books, she was the one who gave up her house as a safe place for Harry to be with after the Battle of the 7 Potters in Deathly Hallows, instead of the Burrow like in the movies). She was blacked out like Sirius after she married Ted, who was a muggle-born, therefore becoming a "blood-traitor" and disgrace to her family. So out of the Blacks, really the only 2 "decent" and pro-Dumbledore ones were Sirius and Andromeda. Bellatrix was one of the highest-ranking and most loyal and sadistic active death eaters, seeing as she ended up killing Sirius. Narcissa was also heavily involved in the death eater lifestyle because of her husband, despite not being one herself.
Also, about the ability to produce a patronus, it is very advance magic, it’s not said as to what year it is learned, but it might not be something they learn till their seventh year or until after they’ve graduated from Hogwarts.
I was under the impression that it's something the great majority of witches and wizards never learn and aren't even powerful enough to produce. Even Madam Bones, the woman who was friendly to Harry during his trial, was very impressed that Harry was capable of a full corporeal Patronus. I think Harry's generation, the classmates who were in the DA, will be abnormally abundant in people able to do it.
Nymphadora chic was also that wildling that carried Bran Stark everywhere in GoT 😯
Regarding Neville's backstory, I'm sure you know by now in the later films cause they might mention it again:
Neville's backstory has been mentioned since Goblet of Fire Movie in the flashback Harry was in when he put his head into the glowing water bowl of memory in Dumbledore's office.
The court said: Barty Crouch's gave up the location of Neville's parent which led to them being tortured by dark wizard. The dark wizard who tortured the parents was Bellatrix Lestrange. She was captured and placed in Azkaban. The curse belatrix used to torture Neville parent is the UNFORGIVABLE curse # 2: CRUTIATUS. Back during class, when Barty (disguised as Moody) was teaching the class about the 3 UNFORGIVABLE CURSES, he made Neville watch the spider bug get tortured and it was MESSED UP because its the same curse they used on his parent, and ironically by Barty who led Bellatrix to Neville parent. So I remember back then u made fun of neville for being too dramatic about it, OFC he would be, he got trauma about it.
this is why Neville is mad in this movie when he saw the newspaper, he saw the person who tortured his parent escaped on the news.

The Black family has always been committed to purity of blood and embraced Voldemort's ideology, as well as the related Lestrange family who were fanatically devoted to Voldemort. Bellatrix LeStrange, Narcissa Malfoy and Andromeda Tonks are all sisters who's maiden name was Black and they're Sirius' cousins. Draco and Nymphadora Tonks are cousins through their mothers. Sirius is also distantly related to the Weasley family.

The Pure-Blood Directory, an anonymously published book, claims a "Sacred Twenty-Eight" - twenty-eight families considered to have the purest blood. Yes, Bellatrix and Sirius were related. Because there were so few families that were considered pure blood, some intermingling of families was inevitable, much like the royal families of Europe in the later centuries. In the book (sorry to keep using the term), Sirius mentions he is also related to Tonks and Molly Weasley. The irony is that most of the people calling for the superiority of the pure bloods to come to the fore are usually only half blood at best. Even Voldemort had a muggle father, though this fact is kept hidden from his followers. Sadly, both of Neville's parents are still alive, but so vicious was the torture suffered by them at the hands of Bellatrix, neither of Neville's parents know who they are or are even able to recognize their own son.
That doorway in the department of mysteries that Sirrius went through leads to the afterlife or whatever. In the book, on the way in, as they look for the prophesies room, both Hary and Luna can hear voices coming from beyond it, but the others can not.

Yes, Sirius is an animagus and went through the arduous process to become one (the only genetic necessity for becoming one is the gene for magical ability) at the same time Pettigrew and Harry's father James became animagi. Sirius can change into a dog and only a dog, Pettigrew into a rat, and James into a stag. And you DON'T get to choose what animal you turn into; the processing of becoming an animagus reveals what animal you turn into; it's a manifestation of your character and psyche.
Yes, Sirius being an animagus has nothing to do with Harry becoming one, and the same about Harry's father having no impact on Harry becoming one. But Harry COULD become an animagus if he decided to put in the work while his muggle cousin Dudley never could; Harry can do magic, but Dudley can not.

If anything Snape was likely caught off guard initially, but once understanding that Harry countered his “attack” and was in his mind he chose to shut him out. Just a thought.. you should consider getting into Game Of Thrones.. there are quite a few people from the Harry Potter films in it.. it also seems to significantly increase subscriber numbers for most.. but the MAIN reason.. selfishly.. is because I’m obsessed w watching people see it for the first time.. you’ve probably heard that the ending was disappointing but that still doesn’t make it not worth it.. just putting it out there..

1:00:20 Sorry ... but this is MOVIE CGI magic ... in short: BS random stuff that HAS NO LIMITATION AND FOLLOWS NO RULES. In the books the children had to learn spells with PRECISE incantations and wand movements (remember the "vingardium leviosa" lesson?). This CGI garbage makes it rather boring, because the end result is scripted and what happens in the middle DOESNT MATTER.
