Early morning crawler tire shred sounds on concrete. A good way to start the day ! 👍👍

I love watching every tire and foam comparison for rc's. My goal is to have all the best tires in the market. For different purpose.
For competition I have the hyrax.
I am looking to get some Nice trail scale tires that will last vert long.
Looking for Nice wheels and slick tires for on road grip, flat surfaces and concrete.
And some very large big wheels with knoby or good off road ability like the badlands tires. Stampede wheels or Kraton.
There is a hill on wet hard soil that I can't climb with hyrax. It's like ice. Even my Timberlands boots slip on it.
And I want to Believe that only larger and harder tire can do.
I got to clear this hill before my friends. Even if I have to use nails on tires.
I tant to hear: you nailed it.

I'm currently trying to fine-tune my foams for my 'frequently' driven conditions. I'm trying the Pro-line closed-cell single staged crawler foams with the radial cut slits on the front tires. I can sacrifice premium front-wheel adhesion for a less overstressed scale appearance when driving my Garden. I hopefully will get more than 4 months of use out of them without looking as your chronically running flat tires when changing direction.

Douglas Elliott yeah man it’s hard to find middle ground on foams. Some are good for comps, some are good for trails. Getting the perfect foam for a tire for both is difficult

Douglas Elliott I think the proline single stage closed cell get overlooked as are assumed a "Hard" foam. I've got em in a trx defender with 4.75 g8 flat irons and they are awesome. They have that small gap between tyre to allow the tread to ripple and conform but support the truck perfectly. Just fitted a set in my Capra to try just as a comparison to dual stage prolines I took out.
      Cheers 👍

@@mickd8188 Thanks for your input, very much appreciated. I too purchased a Capra RTR, great little crawler!. I have found the OEM tire foams much to my liking on it so far. My TRX-4 not so much.

I’m running the crawler innovation part number 3005 they are 4.25 on the stock wheels and I trimmed the ribs out of the centers, I also reversed the tread direction. After a few runs the foams softened a bit and it climbs much better in my opinion. I also have a set of BFG Krawler with proline two stage and those work great. Just my two cents. Flip the tread and try it

Nice comparison vid! Have you heard of silicones inserts? They can be uses as inner portion on dual stage foams. They add a lot of weight and still seems to conform a little.

Driving sideways on slopes is the most important property when testing sponge tires. Ever heard of the ALT foams? These, from RC-HP, should be tested urgently. Especially with a heavy truck.

I’m running stock TRX4 foams in my rig. I think ultimately I’ll go proline tires the swampers soft with dual stage foam. I did just 3d print new bucket seats to something more scale and looks mote era of scout ii.

I use the stock tires/foams in the hot weather, currently I run some knock off hyrax that came with "soft" foams that I got off Amazon. It is warm here today! looking at a high of -2C or 28F for the americans :p

They have a lot or options and I was wondering if you could please point me in the right direction. My rig currently has the duratrax 2.2 showdowns.

The Houleigan yeah my TRX 4 Sport had the expedition rack on it for a while and it was a back heavy mess. Carisma has a Subaru Brat body I’m considering for my TRX4 Sport for Comps as it’d be about the lowest CG of anything out there. Hopefully Proline or JC will make a Cybertruck body soon😀
