- Bobby Zinn in the Red Mist C8 Hard Top Convertible Corvette (CRUZ1NN) takes on Zipry in a Rapid Blue C8 Z51 Coupe at the Dragway.
Both stock cars are 495 horsepower. The Red Mist Corvette is about 100 pounds heavier than the Coupe. The DA (Density Altitude) of 2,186.8 feet at the track that day was not optimal for recording low times.
This was an opportunity for Bob to try out various car settings. He happened to line up against the only other 8th generation corvette at the facility. It was his 4th time in this car down the dragway.
Many thanks to Affordable Energy Now, LLC for sponsoring this run.
CRUZ1NN BOSS, CRUZINN BOSS
Nice!!!! 🏎️💨
Thanks for the video. I too have a none Z51 HTC and always wondered how it would compare to the Z51. When I did my build, I didn't select the Z51 option since I never intended to track it.
It's really just a garage queen looker, all black with black wheels and red interior. Red calipers to match the seats. Get a fair amount of compliments at car meets. I do plan on installing the full Fabspeed headers, sport cats, and mufflers once the warranty expires.
Get her out on the road. It is too fun to drive instead of just letting her sit in a garage.
Left the AC on 🤣
It does have a small impact on performance. I learned this at a performance driving school that I attended in June. I have to get better with my check list review.
Smoked em on the tree! haha.
Not my best launch. If you watch closely I hesitated just a bit with the double break release. It shows up both on all of the camera angles including the break level indicator on the front car view from the windshield. Despite that, I still had a 0.101 reaction time. I am not sure what effect it had on my 60ft time.
@RobertZinn True, you probably could have launched better, but the reaction time was top tier.
