I think the problem is the emptiness of the game being private servers. They really are sitting on a potential MMO gold mine if they would just remake the game exactly how it was, modernize the code and graphics, smooth things out, but leave the world exactly how it should be and change nothing lore wise or story wise or quest wise.
Haven’t gotten to this level of content yet but just wanted to throw out the leveling guides are great and I have watched each one multiple times to make sure I didn’t miss any quests
My favourite time/era of this game was before and just after Arwic (I think it was Arwic, the main town closest to Subway) was destroyed. Matty Robes, GSC, GSA and if you were a goof then GSK. Sitting in Subway with hundreds of people coming/going/trading/Pking. God i miss those days. Anywho, its good to see that the game is still going. I must of spent about 7-8 years of solid Asherons Call action from 2000 - 2007ish Leafcull and Darktide.
I think its bad that the Blackmarket archmage NPCs don't use MMDs as their currency. It is something I'd like to fix, but as I'm sure you know I take a while to get anything done. However, I think its also pretty stupid that the best way to gain these dispel gems is to essentially exploit PVP content on a PVE server, where there is never any actual fighting over the keeps. You've added a few extra steps on top of it (selling foci etc) but I think the *actual* flaw here is that this PVP content is used this way. There should be more PVE methods for obtaining gems.
Ewe I remember when dispel gems came out. The gap between the haves and the have nots was enormous or at least it felt that way when you thought your war was going to finish a melee off but it instead does not and you get finished off instead. Christ I hated dispel gems and quit shortly thereafter.
Why not just add a vendor somewhere more accessible that takes notes? Or change the price at the Faction vendor to take Society ribbons for gems? That could also give a reason to keep running society tasks.
I've not gotten to this point of AC, but I have a potentially good idea for this problem. Sounds to me like a good method of bypassing this would be to have an area or dungeon where you could farm dispel gems with mobs just below the level where it's necessary for the dispel gems, these mobs would drop the gems at a high rate (20-30%) and a fast respawn rate. Make the portal easily accessible and add 2 or 3 KT quest givers to give a more engaging and rewarding process to get the gems. Also, I see that keyboard layout! Nice addition! c:
i do agree the killing or taking over of a keep is stupid, ive heard that there are different methods for killing those crystals like a void, and bringing one of thse royal runed weapons works best
You can play on my custom server just to make your videos and then go back to lev to do whatever it is you'd enjoy doing there? Can make you a infinite use dispel gem that has like 30 second cool down so its not too OP? regardless keep up the solo work my boy.

Best I came up with was a set of prots with cantrips so a vuln doesn't totally strip you, but some mobs still do quite a lot

What server? Most servers I play fold after like 6-12 months.
