I made the mistake in a previous Germany playthrough of trying to do this later, in 1941, but by that point the Brits seem to be too strong for me to get naval supremacy. I had to start a new game. Your tactic actually had me at 100% naval supremacy in the Channel lol. I'm still shocked it worked. The air force was key, as soon as I put all my planes over the Channel the AI Brits took their fleet out of the channel totally. I was getting a 0 ship total for the AI in the Channel. There was maybe 10 divisions total in Britain when I invaded lol. Just zipped my light tanks right up the island. I've never beaten UK before the Soviets before in HOI4. Thanks man! Great workaround! You should have more views!
thanks a lot for this, been having a hell of a time naval invading France (to go around the need for Belgium/Switzerland) or the UK. this video gives me some good pointers to look at Cheers!
This is literally the best tutorial I have ever seen. Really good tutorial, especially the capitulate before the end of the month part. If you want to go overkill, research the landing ships tech and land with 50 divisions on the entirety of southern england lol.
Wow, this is soo much better than my method of: 1) Put 50 factories on Fighters and win the Air War. 2) Build subs and convoy raid them, so they get no fuel. 3) While all of this is going, use the army to win the war in Africa. Congo and South Africa are especially painful. 4) Try to kill or damage their ships with naval bombers, with mixed results. 5) Research naval invasions, amtracks and amphibious Tanks and build 24 divisions of Mechanized Marines. 6) Dip into Paratroopers and Transport Planes. 7) Maybe attack Russia, if done with Africa. 8) Use spies to get 100% Collaboration 9) Build Airports and Radars along the coast. 10) Build Mining Subs and lay mines generously. .... ??) When all the preparations are ready, finally invade England with a massive army and ten thousand airplanes. They definitely have a phase when the army on their island is laughably weak, but as the war progresses, they get 50+ divisions and invading them is no joke.
@@muhammadmohtasham2192 Yeah, I did these things, but not necessarily all in one playthrough. Naval invasions against England are painful once they build up.

For no DLC runs what I do is pretty cheesy I ignore my navy and airforce until the day the naval invasion is ready. On the day it is ready I start all orders, planes focus on naval bombing etc, that surprises the British AI and I have Naval Supremacy for 1 or 2 days, which is more than enough to naval invade. After that it's a piece of cake. Works every time lol
How many planes or ships do i need for this? Should i focus on having more naval bombers or fighters? How many submarines? How many capital ships? I often fail to make a strong enough navy to do anything against the uk
Steps (If I'm correct): 1. Put your submarine fleet in the Atlantic on convoy raid to distract the Royal Navy 2. Put your entire air force on naval bombardment and put it on the English Channel 3. Put the Kriegsmarine strike force on English Channel and Eastern North Sea 4. Put the subs on the Atlantic to the Bay of Biscay, English Channel and Western Approaches 5. Ready your naval orders and put one naval invasion on Dover and another 2 naval invasions going to the ports behind Dover for an encirclement 6. Change the Kriegsmarine to Convoy Escort 7. Put the rest of your Air Force into Southern England, and leave the bombers and 700 fighters behind 8. Flood into the UK! 9. Get rid of your Kriegsmarine's missions, and your done And you've successfully screwed over Britain
This is interesting. Usually I go for the invasion in Dover and Norwich, and typically the British Coast is pretty underdefended. I always land my armour units in Dover so they can easily push to London, which just like the British coast, is fairly underdefended. Once I have control of London, I set a front line and push through the rest of Britain. Landing in Dover and Norwich can be highly advantageous if London is heavily defended, because than you can go for an encirclement of the city.
i used this to naval invade Italy as Greece.(byzantine path) i sent all my subs (10-15 i cant remember) to raid everywhere in the med except the Adriatic, plus the 2 sea zones around Ethiopia. i had just enough time to launch the invasion and funnel 30 divisions before the main navy returned. 2 divisions got raided by subs but i still landed and capped Italy.
But with the latest patch and dlc's supply becomes a huge problem, british ships just hammered down convoy supplies in Eng channel. And the AI smartly put their soldier behind the river before London.
The UK has 130+ ships in EVERY zone around the isles, as well as equal or larger numbers out hunting my raiding subs by the same date in the video. I'm not sure if they tweaked the AI but goddamn, this is not playing out *anything* like these types of videos suggest it ought to.
Firstly, paratroopers are an extra research you have to do this method requires none. Secondly, you still have to be able to cross somewhere even if you do paradrop. Thirdly, making a paratrooper template that is the base 6 width takes extra army experience, something that can be easily avoided. Fourthly, the ai is supposed to guard it ports and most of the time does now (of the many times I have done this in the current patch 90% of the time they have units on their ports) which means your paratroopers are going to die and you just wasted a bunch of equipment and manpower.
