the coats imo are definitely necessary somehow, feel like its a bit too early for them to reveal their actual outfits cause without the coats we might see some of them wear actual visions and thats a VERY early confirmation for them to be playable

@CæpricOrn You have an interesting idea, however given the composition of the board, would that not imply Scaramouche is the heart of the Fatui - King takes Knight like he took Raiden's Gnosis? There are already 2 pawns off the board and we agree those are Signora and Scara, so the third pawn has to be someone else? Food for thought.
@CæpricOrn Ei doesn't side with Celestia necessarily, Signora died at Ei's hand for losing the duel. I think it was more to Inazuma custom of the duel. Signora was the one to accept the challenge AND to imply it would end in death. She could of just walked away.

Aster when I saw the trailer I immediately thought of you. I can't stop thinking and forgot to breathe because of how good they all looked...
From what I'm getting here, Dottore has different versions of himself in different parts of his life *perhaps they're androids or automations but I'm not sure*, the one we saw in the manga is a younger him while the one we see in this teaser here is probably his "prime" form, while the real Dottore is probably older. That's my guess at least.

I was thinking that from the end line before Collei woke up - "Where is the Segment in the prime of his life" - after (the Harbinger with the Robot?) she said he was looking young and he replied that wasn't a compliment. I took that to mean that he has segments/clones/alternate selves in different stages of life(?). That's what I took to be implied, anyway.

From the dialogue in this it seems Dottore made clones of himself in different stages of his life . And it also seems prime Dottore is busy conducting an "experiment" by burning down that giant tree , while the one at funeral is on the younger side of his versions . I'm guessing the manga version was Dottore in his early 20s , funeral Dottore was in his late 20s and prime Dottore at the end Dottore in his 30 , with probably a much older version existing somewhere too
I believe they’re in formal military clothing. Similar to military-wear when going to events.
Also want to point out that the pawn that Signora's moth lands on, which I assume represents Signora, was knocked over by a Knight piece, all but confirming that Ei's Gnosis is in fact the Knight

The King Piece is the "Ruler" of their side of the board, with the least mobility and usually signifies the primary objective between the two.
For Ei to be the "King" would mean that one piece had to be short of the whole group: one rook, one knight, one bishop, Queen and King. All that is left is the Pawn and even then you only have 6 Pieces. As such it would be natural that the Seven Archons would constitute The Queen, the Two Rooks, the Two Knights and the Two Bishops... meaning the King has to be the Divine Itself.
It's good to speculate but not when you are damaging logic for the sake of shoehorning an idea in order to make it fit. But interestingly enough, they say that a checkmate is not when it ends. Meaning even if their Tsaritsa is no longer with them, they won't stop fighting. A subtle hint we may need to consider... specially if we are going to be able to have all 7 Archons by our side.

This might be a stretch, but after putting some pieces together, what if Pierro is Kaeya's father? LMAO. But there are some similarities such as their identical single earrings (the gem and gold), Pierro's single dark blue hair strand on the top of his head, so do they have the Khaenri'ah star-eyed pupils. Kaeya's father told him that he's "our last hope" before abandoning him. Kaeya was also called a "pawn" in the CN version of the manga. We can see Pierro playing with chess pieces in the beginning of the video. In Deathly Statuette character level-up material, it reads "See, my child. All that lies under the throne of heaven shall be destroyed by upheaval. The eternal peace of a pitch-dark void shall embrace us all." And who is that seeks for revenge, Pierro. The child is Kaeya.

There's a lot of eyelike symbols in this game related to esoteric things, like the omnipresent statue wings, the very similar winglike symbol in the domain mural. There are eyes present on raiden shoguns prime form, i think zhonglis prime form was depicted with eyes on the palm of some stone hand construct of his as well. The gnosis is a connection to celestia. "divine gaze"
I think it means that scara will try to fuse with it cause he is ei's doll after all

I feel like the Pyrofly, coming all the way in the cold and wind to the coffin, signifies that perhaps Signora's pure elemental form as the Crimson Witch is returning. It also landing on the fallen pawn near Pierro, the man who saved her life and have her control over the unchecked pyro powers, and when Pierro says that checkmate isn't the end in this game, makes me think that she'll actually come back in her raw elemental form as the Witch. I really don't think she's full dead. The song playing is her theme too. The chorus chants "Rosa". Clever Genshin. What better way to hide her come back in a trailer for her funeral... heh.
I literally thought the same thing. A lot of players went for the obvious idea: A funeral, meaning Signora's confirmed death. But I got another impression based on the symbolism, the chosen words and ofc, Signora's lore and symbolism (Moth, fire and No. 8).

The VA for Pantalone (the Harbinger shown at 1:12 in the teaser) is J. Michael Tatum! He voices Tomoe from Kamisama Kiss, Sebastian from Black Butler, Kyoya from Ouran Highschool Host Club, Erwin from Attack On Titan and Tenya Iida from My Hero Academia!

The Fatui had done many things that makes the Traveler dislike them severely. To have the Traveler join them after so many situations, specially with the implications on what may happen on Sumeru, is simply bad writting if it is done so without a really GOOD reason to abandon the moral highground.
Even when faced to face with their Abyss Sibbling they didn't want to join the Abyss Order after what they were trying to do, specially after what the sibbling attempted to do with the Hillichurls I doubt it would happen.
What's more likely is simply the following:
Some of the Harbingers present in the video WILL die (we should expect this from Mihoyo/Hoyoverse), while some will become more sympathetic with the Traveler and spared.
I don't really see any other alternative unless they have a REALLY good explanation why join them.
Maybe they will ally when there is no other choice or when their goal are the exact same

Now there are 7 gnosis and 9 remaining harbingers. If each of them represents a chess piece that actually aligns with the 16 chess pieces we've always wondered about what the other 9 are.
For everyone who were wondering:
The electro Gnosis is a knight/horse, because that's the piece that took out the pawn that signoras moth landed on.
The Raiden Shogun killed La Signora, hence why pierro used that piece.
And it's still a knight/horse because Scaramouche ran away with the real gnosis that would have taken it's place.

the one not playable looks to just be Capitano tbh. that full masked face is a giveaway for me. Pulcinella would get the height of teen male, quite easy. The rest of the male would be the Zhongli's, easy that Columbina and Sandrone would get teen female but Arlecchino as adult.

The one thing that no one discussed is what is inside the coffin. I thought “not even ashes shall remain”. If they did bring home ashes, I wonder how they collected it. Did someone just went in to Tenshukaku with a broom and started sweeping Signora’s ashes into a bin? Or did they use a vacuum cleaner?

Usually In war if they can’t retrieve a body they just do a empty coffin so that’s probably what happened
So, if you zoom in, Pierro has a similar eye shape to Dain, and his mask looks similar to me to the part of Dain's mask that is growing down his neck. If Dain's mask is just him slowly giving into the Black Serpent Knight curse, Pierro's mask might actually be his face just being mid way through transforming due to the curse.

My personal prediction is this:
We have Scaramouche in Sumeru, who is hunted by Childe.
At the same time one of Dottores clones is experimenting with something in Sumeru as well.
It is possible that Dottore is controling Scaramouche to perform his experiment in blasphemy and that the fatui boss of sumeru will be Scaramouche and Dottore at the same time, with the Traveler freeing Scara from mindcontrol and him reluctantly siding with Traveler for Revenge. Than Childe shows up, agreeing to let Scara leave alive in exchange for the Gnosis.
As for the other Harbingers:
Sandrone is fatui boss in Fontaine, who is better suited to pull strings behind a maskerade than a puppeteer?
Capitano is fatui boss in Natlan, like a general marching his army into the nation of war.
Pierro or Columbina is the final fatui boss when we walk into the Cryo Archons palace.
Arlecchino is basicly like Raven from Honkai making her very likely to be playable. Even same VA as far as i know.
Pantalone could see the Traveler as an important piece in his pesonal agenda, siding with him for profit.
As for Pulcinella ... no idea and Signora is confirmed dead.
And we know that having a harbinger as boss and them be playable does not cancel each other out.

I think it will be the similar situation as HI3; only some are playable. In equal terms, the female Flamchasers due to Honkai system, Tartagila was the only playable Harbringer for now.

At the end when Dottore is talking to who I assume is Damselette, he said that the “segment in his prime” is busy with a little experiment in blasphemy but then we can see said Dottore mouthing “blasphemy”. This, of course, can be explained by dream logic since Collei is dreaming about it after all but I like to think this hints that the OG Dottore can hear what his other segments hear and maybe also have some sort of control over them.

I kind of love that Scaramouche wasn’t there. In my opinion it reinforces that he never truly was part of the fatui/harbingers, but was there solely as means to accomplish his goal. They were literally just a stepping stone to him lol, even if he now probably will have to pay the price for it
@CæpricOrn he literally ditched the fatui once he got the gnosis, which is why Childe was looking for him during 2.2. Plus all the other harbingers, who are usually scattered across the nations, traveled to Snezhnaya to pay respects to Signora too, after all. Scaramouche is not part of them anymore
@@Anna_96 sending Childe from them all is very suspicious. He is one-man war machine which is probably the most effective tool against archons. He might not look as powerful as Raiden shogun, but there is a thing. Delusions and abyss powers he uses are the perfect counter to celestial gods like archons, he actually has opportunity to kill them, unlike vision holders or traveler at the moment. Childe's delusion and abyss power seem to not only drain life force from him, but might also drain it from gods he would be fighting with. If Scaramouche will have electro archon like levels of powers, he wouldn't be experienced with using it. Childe would easily kill him, but there is high chance he would die in the process
@@SandroneEko hmm, personally i disagree. If we trust that Yae is well-informed, the harbingers are ranked by strength, which means Scaramouche is quite a lot stronger than Childe. Furthermore, the gnoses do not truly enhance the powers of the archons, they’re more of a “connection” device to Celestia to my understanding.
Furthermore, Childe, while being very strong no question, is still young and seemingly prefers to barge into fights. Scaramouche on the other hand is cunning, he would not go into a fight unprepared (see how he “handled” the traveler on all three occasions). I’m certain that Scaramouche would win in a fight between the two of them. Especially since Childe would probably be forced to immediately activate his Foul Legacy form (i imagine Scaramouche will have very high resistance to electro or even immunity, which renders Childe’s delusion near useless, and hydro is weak-ish against electro) which disables him after a few minutes already. If they were to face off, Scaramouche would with absolute certainty have something prepared to stall a majority of this time, and basically have Childe defeat himself that way.
Regardless of all this though, i’m incredibly excited for the whole Sumeru arc as it seems that we will get a ton of harbinger lore :)

I think the fallen pawn taken by the knight is Signora, meaning Raiden's gnosis is the knight piece, so those first pawns were Scaramouche and someone else. But who could it be?
From the dialogue in this it seems Dottore made clones of himself in different stages of his life . And it also seems prime Dottore is busy conducting an "experiment in blasphemy" by burning down that giant tree , while the one at funeral is on the younger side of his versions . I'm guessing the manga version was Dottore in his early 20s , funeral Dottore was in his late 20s and prime Dottore at the end Dottore in his 30 , with probably a much older version existing somewhere too
