Beyond excited for this video. Gundam wing was my first gundam series and Altron was one of my favorites next to Death Scythe! Mad props on the build! Really look forward to the next one!

Exactly why I pre-ordered the expansion parts! Now I have to build the Altron to match the Wing Zero Ver. Ka 😆

try this style of painting the eyes,
1.) paint the eye part with gloss clear.
2.) spray / hand-brush the black part with BLACK ENAMEL paint.
3.) use a fine cotton swab with Enamel Thinner / Lighter fluid on the eye part that is elevated.

As a somewhat serious response to your question: most of these kits are straight color swaps with some additional accessories. As a cost saving measure, they don't produce alternate suits like these en masse to prevent a ton from either side just sitting on shelves (as they make no money from unmoved kits).
As for the whole thing with premium bandai lately, especially since there are a lot of kits that are not part variants releasing under the brand, which I assume is because they think they won't sell as well, but I still question the validity of that stance. Also important to know: two of the five kits for Endless Waltz are not premium bandai. Three if you count both wing zero custom and zero custom ver ka as separate. Deathscythe Hell was also a full release.
wing is popular in the west, wasn't well received in japan so the EW MG's probably didn't sell that well aside from maybe wing and deathscythe so that's why they went the low risk route of P-Bandi
Niiice I always prefer seeing this kit with gold or copper, makes it look classy. I think the yellow somehow looks obnoxiously plain lol I know how weird that sounds

I got a deadscythe one. I'm saving up for paints. I also want to add a little light so I can have the beam scythe glow.
Imagine if hes building the Supernova version of this, would be pretty cool.
I've found if you paint the eye with the real touch metallic green gundam marker the go around them with black is a easy and very good way of doin the eyes being the eye itself pops out it makes it easy and then any mistakes can be covered by the black. Also the Markers paint is translucent light will show through. I also feel ya on the braking of parts not sure what I'm doin wrong but the last 3 mg kits iv painted and built all have something broken my last kit that I just finished last night I took my time did everything right and still broke a part it about killed me inside cuz I spent a week or more making sure the paint was good and dry the joints managed and all parts the need move freely moved all was good till the final assembly then super glue and now a complete kit. Oh the pains of being a gunpla builder

When I was finishing up my MG strike rouge Ootori I messed up one of the hips (paint on the joint, so it was too tight...), I reinforced it, but ended up gluing the hip together -.-" (luckily not in the waist or the leg). The attempts to make a makeshift hip from runner parts also failed, so I had to buy another kit and only use it's hip...
The spare kit will be used somewhere in the future for a diorama with a mg Banshee Ver. Ka (after I rig that one with LED's), so it won't go to waste.

I definitely think it is something to do with your paint that caused the issue with the attachment for your Dragon Fang I just snap built this kit and was able to attach and remove that piece multiple times no problem.
So, out of the 5 kits I own for Endless Waltz (at least in terms of MG) this is my least favorite to pose. He looks awesome, but the dragon fang system takes up so much room, and is pretty fiddly, even with the bases included, I just kind of didn't bother after a while and gave him more of a generic pose. Sick paintjob dude, keep up the awesome work!
As a side question, do you plan on doing Epyon EW? I think you're doing Wing Custom Ver Ka at some point.

I'm loving your videos, and it's really inspiring me to take Gunpla beyond just building, into painting & customizing. One question I'd ask, how much of the building have you done prior to painting? Do you build the model then take it apart; just build the frame while keeping the armor panels separate; or just, paint everything the moment you cut them from the runners?
I usually preshade my parts but watching you do the highlighting method makes me want to try it out too. I'm a bit worried that my poor airbrushing skills will mess it up though T__T. Maybe I'll try it on cheap HG model first ...

Same thing happened to me with the fang part. The way the part is designed seems unforgiving for how you put that fang on.

The MG XXXG-01S2 Altron Gundam (EW) can be expensive since it's a P-Bandai, but it's definitely worth it. Are you going to get the P-Bandai MG Expansion Parts Set for Mobile Suit Gundam W EW Series (The Glory of Losers Ver.)? Included in that set is the parts to convert this MG into its 'Glory of Losers' iteration which includes the Twin Beam Cannons on its back. In the manga, it gets destroyed by OZ-00MS2 Tallgeese II (EW) during the final portions of the Eve Wars which is used to explain why in the OVA, it doesn't have it.

Yo i got a question does it matter what tamiya primer color you use on the armor parts? By that I mean if you were to use a white primer on a white part instead of a gray primer and preshadow it would the end color be different when you airbrush the primed/preshadowed part with what ever color?

Any reason we are leaving wires out butt and not running thru legs? Could make a custom base and hole in bottom of leg and not even see wire on gundam. Yet to do my self just asking if tried or not. or other idea custom action base and use support pole to hide wires. Just asking cause figured if your not doing it I have no chance of pulling it off good.

Question: what type of topcoat is best for metallic parts to preserve that "metallic" look?
From what I've heard, almost all topcoats will dull shiny metallic looks so I've never tried
i built the HG version of this kit when i was a kid... probably like 20 yrs ago. still have it... wish this wasn't a P-Bandai... almost not worth to buy and build from a resale... sucks... great kit though.
