    The manual that comes with the MC 5112 leaves out a lot of details. You covered them nicely. Thank you.

    Solid vid bro! I missed the directional part, the arrows on the pad. And hey don’t forget to turn off your heat! Especially if your thermostat is right under your cooler vent like mine🤔

    Are the holes for the distributor supposed to be pointing up like yours? Mine was and I made them point downward. It seemed like the water was spraying and dripping excessively past the pads with them pointing up.

    Hey, great video, this was incredibly helpful as we moved out to rural Arizona from the city and had no idea how to do a lot of things, and swamp cooler maintenance was pretty high on the list of necessary things. We managed to do everything, but I have to ask, how did you clean out the inside of the cooler so well? Ours has a lot of dirt and scale buildup, with an old, dinky little pump barely helping the process. Does anyone have any tips for getting scale/dirt out of the little water reservoir inside?

    I have a clean out pump in addition to the water pump. It goes through a tube in the roof and drains on the side of my house. Sometimes a lot of water comes out... is that normal? How do I even it out?

    Thank you for the great presentation. The bad part is that I found this at the end of the day, after painfully replaced the pads, which seemed to be originals after many years. I have one question. Does the water level pump needs to be FIXED? Again, thank you very much!

    Thank you for the great info! I'm sorry i can't find the links to the parts in the description box. Also, do you have any advice on algae growing on the pads? How to prevent that? It never used to happen. These past few years, if i have to turn on the AC for a week during a heat wave, and then turn it back on when it cools off it smells like sea world in the house. Sure enough the pads are green. Any advice would be much appreciated!

    • @boogity66
      @boogity66  Před 2 lety +1

      The distributors should be supplying all of the media with water. If some of your media is not getting water check your distributors they could be clogged.

    Thanks for the vid! Very informative. We are getting a lot of water leaking into the flat area around the fan and leaking onto the roof. We have no idea how it is getting there. Do you know where that water might come from?

    • @boogity66
      @boogity66  Před 3 lety

      First you need a trace down where the water is leaking from that should be straightforward if you thoroughly look from where it's coming you might possibly have to sub seal the swamp cooler I have videos on that too
