- Retro Old School Tournament. This is how Yamantau should be! I have joined the retro old school tournament a few times now, and it is great. I prefer this 'retro camelot' mode as it is 2014 to 2017 meta. We landed on Yamantau and canyon. And this is how the game should be! Even on bigger maps, tons of strategy and skill. Lol most pilots in this video had zero skill or situational awareness, old wr was better, all the good pilots left or had their skills diminished.

These were good times when almost every game lasted 10 minutes, and now it lasts an average of 3-4 minutes and today everything is about money, if you don't invest big money it is almost impossible to survive in the high league

Griffin was a tradition back in the day, if you did not have a griffin in your hangar, you will probably be destroyed by plasma griffin or griffin with orkans and pinata. Like i was playing a team deathmatch and all my squad was completely griffin against meta 2020. My whole childhood was based about war robot❤.
And the community used to refer the Griffin with pinata and orkan as death button setup

Back then when the game was skill based and making a mistake would get your bot killed, now its money based where the biggest noobs with no tactics and no map positioning get saved by motherships, drones and 12 seconds ability cooldown robots ✌
They should make the 5 th hanger only for old bots and the other 4 hangers universal and should make it so that you can not use the 5 hanger in regular battles but there should be a special battle mode only made for old robots

WR was a great game once. It felt like a chess game. Now it's over-saturated with speed, damage, health, everything to the max, PLUS special abilities, spaceship, bots, pilots, titans, sheesh...

The problem we also have now is the speed of the game, everything moves at a million mph. Even on yamantau played get across in 10seconds now.

This is what kept me playing WR for a long time. But as i noticed the trend towards P2W becoming increasingly bigger, that along with terrible matchmaking, killed my WR experience. I havent played in about 2 years but do enjoy supporting creators like you that speak up and are transparent about the game . Well done.
I love seeing these old bots. I also love knowing that they'd all get mowed down by my maxed Punisher Cossack😈(no joke. all the bots in this video are basically relics now, unfortunately)

Simple weapons and robots with thoughtful strategy made this a great game.
Now the game is overly complicated and everyone's strategy is to bum-rush.

You should try other set ups, like full hangar type weapons, like old robots full acid or atomizer, that type of stuffs, excelente video

It was a great game before not anymore...On a contrary I am so glad that pixonic keeps updating wr more and more of a p2w system by which I find an inevitable last option and left with enthusiastic reason only to quit wr permanently.
Anyways very unique way of freshning up from the madness of current wr situation predator.

If the game experience was even close to this, I wouldn't have quit playing earlier this year when they stole everyone's drones and chips that we either earned and/or paid for.

What's a death button Griffin??? It has no death button nor does get increased damage when it activates it's jump ability (like the Raven)
The Death Button (or DB) Griffin was a nickname for the Orkan/Pinata build, because it was so effective against physical shields and armor. There was also the RDB (Russian Death Button) - Tulumbus and Pin, and the PDB (Plasma Death Button) with Tarans and Magnums. Ah, happy days 😊

The only way to play war robot. No wheelchair robots or 5 dash skeleton with stealth zooming around 3 shotting people.

Where do you find these squads cause I would LOVE to play the game like it was back in the older days. I miss using Griffins, Leo's, Lancelots and the other golden day bots. Someone PLEASE tell me. I am done playing the game with the new meta around cause it's just unbeatable and there's always someone able to spend more. PLEASE let me know.

If they brought this game mode back as an option for players to play then most players would just leave the current war robots we have now.
Thing is War Robots could be still good if they remove, motherships, drones, pilots and stupid special abilities, and pay to win.

Should have used camping bots like raijin treb or hydra fujin or wild west pack bots. This mode is so fun 😢 better than the war robots now where we get one shotted from miles away .

@@ii_dynasty yeah so that's the idea. Back then it felt like a delete button, but now someone likeFujin is capable of moving around, some bots recieved buffs, some got nerfed and it is no longer a delete button. Already like a different game, just with the same assets

Good old days... i left this game when they introduced last stand, healing and all those shit.. it's not playable anymore specially with my old hanger.... and i won't be paying anything for new stuff
