Dude the valet business model is pretty interesting.
One tip which really helped me financially besides getting a part time job is to actively search and apply for bursaries and scholarships. Just that you have to read the terms and conditions before applying for them as some require you to pay a penalty if you don’t score well or you are tied to a 6 year bond depending on the organisation. Nevertheless, it’s really good to try and experiment through taking jobs before graduation to build up on experience and pick up lifeskills.
Wow that's actually a great advice that wasn't mentioned in the video. Make sure to use of your school's financial support, there's a lot out there that most students are eligible for!
Yes this, currently tied to a 4 year bond but they pay my school fees and give me monthly allowance of 1k.
This video be like the Jedi Council spitting that good knowledge. Most definitely learned alot.😂
can try doing part time work for ur uni - the hour pay not bad and they are very flexible to your academic needs.
being TA not that worth ah (if break down to hourly rates really quite insignificant), if can do RA - looks better on portfolio and pay is also better.
+ internship that pay well. MNC monthly pay can go 2k and above
At graduation I had about 3k saved from part time pay, internship pay, grants etc (parents covered my uni fee in full but i pay for my own expenses since Y3), i think so long as no bad spending habits you dont really need to force yourself to save? It just naturally accumulates. But good habit to track your expenses (with an app or excel spreadsheet etc) - I started doing it during exchange cos i lose sense of money when its in a different currency, kept the habit till now. Fast way to spot your spending issues lol.
Mind sharing how does one be a part time coding teacher for pri sch students👀? Sounds quite interesting
