- ARABIC AREA Bangkok Thailand. This Amazing Vibrant Soi (Soi Arab) has a relaxed vibe of its own away from the hustle & bustle of Sukhumvit & Nana.
There is a wide variety of Arabic foods available in Bangkok’s Arab Quarter, and you’ll find seafood, meats, kebabs, breads and quite a few other delights. The restaurants have extensive menus and the prices of food are quite reasonable too.

Geoff, welcome back. If you want somewhere to go, instead of being in pattaya all the time, why not jump in a train and head for Hua Hin? They just opened a new railway station and it now takes about 3 and a half hours from Bangkok. I’m sure it would be interesting to see how the uk trains differ from the ones we have here. Show the viewers the 3rd class carriages where there’s no aircon and only open windows, show them 2nd class and go in to the buffet, or show them the first class cabins (just like the 2nd class in uk, or worse) and show the first class bathroom, old sink with cold water and a toilet pan with a long drop hole from the train to the outside track. Hua Hin also has some nice hotels, nice restaurants, colorful night market where you can shop and eat, mountains to climb, one is up to the top of a mountain and see all of the monkeys around. Give it a go, I’m sure it’d be interesting for both the viewers and you to take a trip there, far more interesting than pattaya anyway, that’s for sure.
I love going to the Arabic quarter for a good meal. Great food there!

I was in that restaurant in 2016. I went in the morning. I had a wrap type sandwich and a coffee drink.. Cool area of Bangkok. Not far from my hotel on Soi 6. Cheers.

There is a little alley opposite Gulliver’s takes you into Soi Arab. I usually go there for the good rates in the exchange booths.

Geoff, Check out the oudh oil in the Arab quarter. They disply wood bark in the window. Sample the best quality oil. I picked up two of the 50 ml bottles of oudh from Cambodia. The smell is something else. Mercedes offers it as an optional scent.

Hi Geoff I’m in Khon Kaen at the present moment but was thinking that I really need to see more of Bangkok and other destinations other than Pattaya. Anyhow here goes where about is this Arabic area I know you said soi 3 but that means nothing to me. Looking to book a hotel do I book in the city centre ?????
