Facts: being a commissar in the death korps is the most depressing job.
Nobody complains, nobody insubordinates, everyone follows your suicidal commands and you never get a chance to raise morale..
and you are at risk at being killed for not being crazy enough
@@legionofthedamned157 Yeah, imagine having to watch your front AND your back because the gas masked nutcases want to run directly at the enemy weapon emplacements with nothing but a flashlight and a shovel and you are the one thing stopping them from doing so.
@@War_Daddy103 In summary, taking care of your little cousins, preventing them from doing anything suicidal
I like to think that the commisar are dog sitters for attack hounds. And the only thing they get joy from inspiring their men is by secking them on the enemy.
yah I love that Commissars in the Death Korps are actually instructed to temper their fanatical devotion...and have a significantly higher death rate than any other Imperial Guard regiment because the Loyalty of Krieg shames their quaint notions of Loyalty and they kill themselves out of shame

The Death korps of Krieg is my favourite Imperial Guard legion. I recommend looking more into them in the future.
The lightsaber is an Imperial Powersword. It’s used by important people generally and is known for its ability to melt through armor/people.
When you need to make your grimdark setting even more grimdark! By the way, korps is pronounced "core," like Marine Corps.
The death korps of Krieg are my favourite 40k faction. They just get told what to do and they do it. If it gets then killed then they see that as an optimal outcome, love em
The Kriegsman are basically WW1 era style German soldiers who are masters in trench warfare.
The Leman Russes fit the theme too cos they look like Mark V Male tanks some of which the Germans captured. The Krieg even have Stalhelms too.
Ohohohooo, can't wait for part 2 of the Bricky video. I don't even mind if we lay off the SCPs for a while, it's so good.
Couple of answers for you. You’re thinking of the Imperial Guard, the Death Korps are IG but just one flavour of them. The Krieg believe that they owe the Emperor everything, including their lives, so they raise and train unfathomable numbers of men to fight and die for the Imperium. They always suffer heavy losses but always get the job done and there’s always more Krieg to replace them.
As far as the skull goes, it is exactly as you described it. It’s an actual human skull fitted with anti grav systems and a primitive logic engine, used to record information or deliver messages and communications.
The ‘lightsaber’ is a power sword being wielded by a Commissar. The Commissars are usually there to ‘raise morale’ by summarily executing anyone who tries to run away or disobey an order. They don’t get much done among the Krieg and often die trying to prove themselves to be more loyal than their suicidally insane underlings.
The guys they were fighting were heretics and chaos worshippers. In this case no daemons or heretic space marines, just the downtrodden masses who for some reason thought their lives might be better if they go into open revolt
The Death Korps of Krieg's version of a medic is called "Quarter Master", if you are too wounded to be save you are shot and your equipment goes to the next Kriegsmen.
The skull is Servo skull. Arch made good video about them. In short, they are drones for several jobs, mostly as recorders. They can have weapons, claws and are very handy to have. It is great honor to become servoskull after death. It is recognition of your work as a person of value, your name will be engraved in skull and you will be remembered.
I know you've gotten the answers to your questions by now, but I'll try to give'em with an ultra short description, if you're interested @OriginalHuman :)
-The faction is Imperial Guard (or the Astra Militarum in the new nomenclature). Those guys are from, as you know, Death Korps of Krieg. You could say they are regular humans, but their planet was actually permitted, as one of the few, to utilise vat cloning technology so they're basically like Storm Troopers from Star Wars. Heavily flavoured after WW1 as you can see ;)
-The skull is a servo-skull. They are single-purpose "drones" that can be used, e.g., as loudspeakers, muti-tools, glorified notepads. Why a skull? Cause it's grimdark and that's what WH40k basically is ;) There's other explanations, but who cares :D
-The fly guy is a commissair, pretty much like in the Soviet Army back in the day. They're used to keep the soldiers in line, keep up their morale and to prevent them from retreating, by a bullet to the head if needs be. For the Death Korps, however, they usually have to prevent them from charging recklessly onward, since the DKK are uber loyal to the Imperium. Long story that one ;)
-He's wielding what's called a "power sword". It's pretty much a regular sword with the addition of a generator that creates an electric-like field that gives the weapon better armour penetrating capabilities.
-The weapon in the traitor trenches is called in WH40k a "heavy stubber", this one probably twin-linked. Pretty much a high caliber MG, or rather a rapid fire 20mm cannon. The other weapon, that blew half of the traitor away was a plasma gun. This in turn is a rather old and worn concept in sci-fi ;)
-The guys with the green eyes are traitor guardsmen. If you've seen the video explaining factions, then they're either corrupted by the forces of Chaos, or they simply rebel against the Imperium for more mundane reasons.
The best CZcamsr in history- keep it up man your awesome and really entertaining

If you are interested I would recommend reacting to baldermort's guide to Warhammer death korp of krieg
Honestly man I recommend you react to a lore video on the death korps you'll know just how hardcore these lads are
The blue glowing guns was a Plasma gun, there goes by other names too "Sun gun" "Trooper toaster" and others there often carried with a bit of grim honour as they are extremely devastating when used on most targets but extended use in continues combat leads to heat build-up that can vent with enough thermal discharge to melt a guardsman. It's also not uncommon to see veteran users missing a finger or two from a little bit of plasma left in the weapon's magnetic chamber, the blue coils, that drips out when they change the hydrogen flasks.
Also, due to there worlds brutal training and regimental output, most of these guardsmen may be as young as 14 years old, a Grenadier, a veteran, was noted to only be 19 years old at best.
One last thing, The rifles they use, Lucius pattern, are a semi-auto only weapon, but this is compensated for by the weapons increase damage compared to some other "patterns" of lasgun
The dude with the blue glowing sword is called a Commissar. The sword is called simply a power sword
Please carry on your reaction to all the factions, love all your 40k content!
that skull is called a servo skull, they are used as many things, vox casters, radios, weapons platforms, familiars, detectors of enemy stealth units, etc, they can also deliver vid feed messages too. space marine sqauds sometimes use them as well as many imperial guard sqauds such as command squads.
One mind syndicate is another good channel that goes into more detail about WH40K lore
The weapon is a power sword where a disruption field is generated where it can separate molecules-and cut through an abrams hull as if it were butter
Luke if you really wish to know more about the guardsman unit the Death Korp of Krieg is their designation. The channel Arch does a lot of lore and such and covered not only them but also one of their first major battles where they crack open a fortress world..it's about 15hrs of content total (if I remember correctly) broken into 40min chunks if you wish to react or to just listen to when you got spare time
my favorite thing about the death korps of Krieg is there pretty much a mix of ww1 gear (the germen stalhelm helmet, the French late war uniform and a sci-fi American m1918 BAR) in ww1 style battlefield and tactics
4:50 Plasma gun. They are very volatile (if you overheat them they can explode and take you and everything 20ft around you with them) but quite effective.
Fun fact: The Commissar's dialogue are specific voice lines of the Commissar Lord (yes, Commissars have ranks; the average Commissar has authority over an entire regiment, and it goes up from there) from the RTS video game Dawn of War. You can find a whole compilation of the unit's voice lines with a simple search on CZcams.
Others have Mentioned it but the Guy with a glowing sword is a Commissar, they often execute guardsmen who waver as encouragement, when it comes to the Death Corps of Krieg they often have to actually reign in the guardsmen so that they do not charge in too soon. The glowing blue gun was a plasma rifle, an anti-tank weapon, it is almost as likely to blow up the user as it is the target if it is not given constant maintenance.
That was a krieg pattern plasma gun which fires a magnetically contained ball of pure plasma ( however if over used or over charged they have a higher tendency to explode more so than usual)
Love all the sounds effects are taken from tarkov
I'm sure someone else has answered this, but that floating skull is called a "servo-skull". A tiny thing in 40k, sometimes as punishment to heretics or even loyal Guardsmen who request it: after death, the brains are preserved and removed of some function to carry out certain tasks.
They're essentially this universe's parallel to drone technology. I think they're used in most examples to record things, either video or words onto paper. But they're mostly artistic in application.
2:15 we call the skull drone servoskull. No idea how expensive it is to build the chassis that they would rather use a cranium for it, but with the death rates in the Imperium, skulls are certainly cheap and in abundance
"We've been trying to contact you for the past three hours!"
The servo-skull doesn't seem to be doing anything.
So Lore time:
The guy in the Fancy suit is a Commissar and the wepon he had wasn't a lightsaber it was a Energy sword and the doods with the green eyes where Chaos Cultists (i guess Nurgle) and the guys with the gasmasks are the "Astra Militarum" or also called "The Imperial Guard"
Edit: and the Flying skull was a Servo Skull
The death korps of kreig is a subfaction of the stra militarum, mainly consisting of clones, the specialise in trench warfare and are known to use cavalry units within their forces. Their name literally means "The Death corps of war", they are the coolest of all the astra militarum in my opinion. The guy with the power sword was a commisar and the Death Korps rely on commisars so they don't all run in and fight till they're all dead.
Not EXACTLY clones, as cloning is considered heresy. They are vat-grown in what are called synth-wombs, so not entirely clones, but only because of a technicality
The guy in the red clothes with the sword is the commissar that have a important role in every guardsmen faction
Its really detailed. The Krieg's guardmens are using Lucius pattern lasgun, which has higher damage (than normal lasgun), low fire rate and lower battary charge (I think the normal lasgun has 60 shots in one battary). Thats why they are firing it like a DMR
The “ flying skull thing “ is a service drown made by a dead type of space marine ( I think ) turned into the drone with its conscience still in it but they are good ( also btw nobody is good in warhammer 40K ) by helping them out.
Oh hell yes I wanted to see this here so bad
The commissar (guy who's looking fly) is holding what's called a power sword it's your regular sword but modified to do more damage with a power field.
The green eyed guys are a renegade militia. They're guardsmen, planetary defense forces, law enforcement, etc who fell to chaos.
the dude with the cool sword was a commissar and it wasnt a lightsaber but a power-sword, which is basically highly electrically charged sword.
Its a skull servitor. They have numerous functions expecially scouting or administrative like writing scrolls or psychic mediums
The flying skull is called a Servo-Skull: Servo-skulls form an important niche in Imperial work, serving as everything from auto-scribes that copy down important conversations and confessions of prisoners to simple moving torches, hovering about their charge with candles and electric lanterns to illuminate the area.
The weapon the guardsman is firing is called a Plasma Gun, they come in Rifle form or Pistol, this guy is using a Rifle. They can be overcharged with deadly effect. But there is a 1/6 change the weapon blows up when you overcharge it, killing everyone near the user instantly. Making it extremely dangerous to wield, but highly effective against pretty much any target.
I like that pretty much all of the sound assets were rom tarkov minus the laser stuff
keep up the content bro

The floating skeleton is a recorder. Films and saves information of what happened.
The glowing gun is a plasma gun. It can blow up when used wrong.
The one with the power sword (lightsaber lol) is a Commissar.
The bad guys are cultists who worship chaos god but sometimes renegades that are against the imperium.
Sometimes it’s Krr-egg or Kri-eeeeg
The himan guys are the imperial guard. The death korps of krieg are a guard subfaction drawn from the planet krieg that specialise at seige and trench warfare.
