Curious why you sold your Klark Teknic. Your review seemed rather favorable. What made you decide to purchase this one, rather than replace your KT-2A?
Hi Alex and thanks for watching. I was relocating locations and rather than have all of this equipment in storage I sold a few pieces with the intent of purchasing again in the future. The KT2A is the best bang for the buck in terms of classic replications. I intend to buy another. Thanks again for watching
Hi and thanks for watching. The make up gain has one purpose. It makes up what is lost in the signal due to the gain reduction circuit. Notice in the video, the more I engaged the peak reduction the lower the sound became overall.
I just received my Opto Comp today. Is it normal to hear it hum? I’m thinking it might be normal, as the waves plugin has a hum option on it. I don’t mean the hum is in the signal path. It’s the unit, itself, coming out of the vents for the tubes on the top of the enclosure. Aside from the hum, it sounds a lot classier than my tube and BLA opto element upgraded KT-2A.
Sounds pretty great. Would be cool if you did more videos like this
Thanks for watching
Agreed. The test evaluations were well thought out and very informative. These types of videos are unfortunately rare. Very grateful. Bookmarked.
Great product, I also use the buss comp..love both. Thanks for sharing your new comp.
Thanks for watching

Solid review

I have the audio scape 2a. Question how are you getting such gain and gain reduction without using make up gain?

It’s normal. Congrats on the acquisition ✌🏾🙏🏾
What is the 1/4 input on back?
Hi, it’s to stereo link two devices. Thanks for watching ✌🏾🙏🏾
What was the waiting time like on these units?
Hi and thanks for your question. I would email their customer service for that information.
@@WarrenHenryHe was asking you what was the wait time for you. I don't think customer service will tell him that specific information. 😅
