- We love Southern Spain and can’t say enough about that area. Duquesa was a great place to rent a 2 bedroom apartment through Airbnb overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. We wanted to have a place big enough to invite friends and family to join us. I invited a co-worker where my youngest daughter worked to join us. His name was Eddie and this was his first visit to Europe. He absolutely loved the area and we enjoyed showing him around the area.
Walking was our main mode of transportation in Europe which is healthier for us especially since Jimmy was recovering from chemotherapy. There is a great Taxi service and places to rent a car in the area as well.

We have just bought a place in Casares, a couple of miles away from where you stayed.
We are going there for 3 weeks this August and we are definitely going to the Meson De Castillo restaurant on your recommendation....!

Thank you so much for your comment. Definitely one of our favorite places to visit. We will be back in that area in November and can’t wait!!! Have fun and enjoy. Be sure to take a day trip to Tarifa and we have a video about that great little town. It is one of our places to visit and such a treat. You can see the coast of Africa so clearly.

Well we have just stayed at our new apartment for 7 days and have another 2 weeks here..

Oh that is fantastic! We love Spain so much and we would love to move there too. For now we get to enjoy 3 months out of the year. It’s fantastic 👌 What area are you planning to move?
@@gypsyrubbertramps3487 I am thinking of renting in Valencia for six months and taking trips to decide if I want to eventually buy a home in the Costa Del Sol or Costa Blanco coasts. I live in Memphis now and it would be much easier to retire in the countryside in Tennessee but I think that would be quite boring after awhile. Spain looks attractive with the weather, food, friendly people, good healthcare, and great beaches. The downside is the high taxes but I think it would be worth it.
