      Thank you! That is super kind of you, Amol. Would you know anything about the permits needed for drones and the kind of two-way radios we're allowed to carry in Botswana?

      I thought I had replied but it's gone missing.
      As a rule drones are not allowed in national parks. I have observed that it does affect animal behaviour too so I have never pursued trying to get permission for one.
      Zartek do a walkie talkie but I think they need a license in Botswana. You can get an amateur version in South Africa. The claimed line of sight range is 3-5km but in practice it's more like 1km given the landscape and habitat with trees etc

      @@amolkarnik9709 thanks - yeah, so we're leaving our drones behind. Even outside of flying in Protected Areas, I think taking a drone to Botswana requires permits + visiting a local police station to submit finger prints, etc. We haven't budgeted time for that, maybe the next time.
