Spongebob's movie-based game (the first one). It took many elements from the super mario bros games.
During the game you can buy bonus levels or get them within the main game levels. I got quite a few during regular gameplay, and recorded the remainder after the end:

One thing i found great is this game follows exactly the movie, same characters, same layout, same everything. Even David Hasselhoff and the jackass and the bar. Great jobs guys.

The movie was intended to end the entire show, because the creator Stephen Hillenburg was worried the show would jump the shark. Nickelodeon wanted more episodes of the show, so he left it to Paul Tibbitt (which explains why the show went bad) until 2015, well even then, the first half of season nine was nowhere near as abysmal or dreaded as seasons six to eight.

@@tammid8423 actually I consider the GBA game to be just as good as the console version, the 2D handheld sidescroller I feel has a ton of potential and I would definitely like to see an HD remastered rerelease of the GBA game. Upgraded visuals, Widescreen display, improved controls, remastered and redone music, spiced up boss fights, couple more levels, animated cutscenes with voice acting, and top that all off with a $8 price tag in the Nintendo Switch eshop and BOOM! The definitive way to play the GBA version of the movie game.

One of the best Game Boy Advance SpongeBob SquarePants games, even more so when you realize WayForward worked on it.
They also worked on the Game Boy Advance and DS versions of Creature From The Krusty Krab, and the Game Boy Advance version of Lights, Camera, Pants!, of which are all really good games, DS version of CFTKK not withstanding, in it’s own way.
With the exception of SuperSponge and Atlantis SquarePantis, every Game Boy Advance SpongeBob SquarePants game share the same composer: Martin Schioeler.
Martin Schioeler doesn’t get enough credit as a video game composer, in my opinion.
His SpongeBob tracks are really good.
But, yeah, this is an awesome platformer.
My favorite game for all SpongeBob GBA games, is Creature of the Krusty Krab...😅

I just wish pessimist’s critics would stop complaining about the game having an incoherent plot.
It’s literally a fever dream, and those are just as incoherent, so, that complaint never makes any sense whatsoever.
I also wish people would stop complaining about the controls in the DS version.
Most people complain about it because it uses touch screen controls…but those people have no problem playing the Mario cs. Donkey Kong games, which use the same control scheme verbatim, so, that’s very hypocritical.
I love that game a lot, Abe I wish people would stop complaining about it.
It’s not like I’m saying the game is perfect or anything, as I don’t want to come across as nostalgia blind or hypocritical, as I am aware of the games faults, such as the inconsistent difficulty, for example.

1:04 Spongebob's version of the Spin Dash from Sonic and the Rev-Roll from Pac-Man World.
It’s more so like the super peel out from Sonic CD but uses Patrick as a battering ram to break objects.

That's funny, Wayforward is the same studio who make the Shantae series.
They've made a ton of great games for various Nintendo platforms, too.
The only Wayfoward game I played is “Mighty Milky Way” and that’s on DSiware.
this along with wario land 4, fire emblem, sonic battle, and Mario and luigi. is my favorite GBA game

i didnt have this game as a kid, nor did i even grow up with spongebob, but the daughter of my mum's friend had this and i had no clue what a gba was and thought it was just a weird ds game that used the guitar hero slot i have very vague images but i think it's this game

i remember playing this when i was 7 and 8 love this game as well! the gameplay and the 1st few worlds were fun and Nostalgic but i didn't like the 5th and 6th worlds and the final boss. and also the 2nd and 3rd trench levels were difficult! but anyways great GBA game!

My younger sister bought this game back in 2004 i warned her that the game was probably going to suck since it was made by thq and she should buy a game made by nintendo or konami instead but she just ignored me and this game was at least playable it could be way worse but i don't get why they where still using password saves in 2004 we where used to saving games by that point.

The soundtrack sounds similar to Battle for the Bikini Bottom, because they used the same soundfont from that game.😅
