      You're very welcome! These days it seems like the only way you can snag anything outside of their sets is if you jump on during their re-stocks! They used to do them once or twice a year but lately with their growing popularity they seem to be doing them more often. Ebay is also a great place to find what you're looking for. I hope this helps!

      @TheDnDCoalition  Před 4 lety

      Yessir, here you go! amzn.to/30w3UY7 - I love them, they're a good size and lie flat very well. I use a piece of MDF/compress board from Home Depot that is the same size to put the maps on top of. Helps separate the table from the terrain!

    • @TheDnDCoalition
      @TheDnDCoalition  Před 3 lety +1

      The ones in this video are from Melee Mats on Amazon; super cheap and a great bang for your buck. Also Monster Fight Club and Mats by Mars are other great places to pick up mats. Dwarven Forge has terrain treys that are incredible but they are a bit expensive and most of them are out of stock last time I checked. I hope this helps!

    Hey. Im looking into buying some cavern sets. What would you recommend?
    I was looking to buy either 2x caverns core, or 1 basic cavern and one caverns core?
    I want to be abe to build a big cavern from start, are there any other set combinations you would recommend?

    • @TheDnDCoalition
      @TheDnDCoalition  Před 3 lety

      Great question! The biggest challenge is if they have it in stock 😅Both of those would be great options! If you have a couple more bucks, snag a set of the banks or better yet the Chasm Pack - these will enable you to use "negative space" like I did with the water mat in this video. I literally use my Chasm Pieces in almost every build. I hope this helps!

    Since the warlock tile system was released I feel dwarves forged tiles are just not necessary anymore. Using both and imho the warlock tiles look just as good if not better in some of the sets.

    • @TheDnDCoalition
      @TheDnDCoalition  Před 3 lety

      The warlock tiles are great! I really like their tavern range. Overtime I have watched Dwarven Forge’s popularity grow which is great but they only produce a limited amount of terrain every year so it can be hard to get your hands on. The Warlock tiles are mass produced so you can order whatever you want, whenever you want! There’s a few DF pieces I’ve been waiting to snag for a few years now just because they never are in stock 😅

    thanks great info. Sadly all these sets and tiles are way out of my price range. I only have about $15 a month or so the spent on these... so I will keep plugging away at cardboard and foam crafting...sigh

    • @TheDnDCoalition
      @TheDnDCoalition  Před 3 lety +3

      Nothing wrong with cardboard and foam! I still use a TON of foam terrain. The key to terrain is to purchase what is the most versatile! Then you can build your custom pieces as you need them. Hope this helps!

    I was highly disappointed in the first 8x8 grid piece. It’s freakin plastic and the color doesn’t match the rest of the dungeon tiles (as per your video). Aside from that thanks for the video.

    • @TheDnDCoalition
      @TheDnDCoalition  Před 4 lety +1

      This is a piece that i actually bought painted and I did notice that it the paint job doesn’t quite match🤔 That being said I think it would be pretty easy to paint over! I personally got it because I wanted some bigger tiles for large builds and I also liked how there was a magnet underneath to secure it to terrain trays. Thank you for the feedback, my friend!
