Yes, as long as you have the mounting points on the roof, you should be able to install it.

What size bolts are used to fit to roof please?

at 8:30 you say, then you're going to use one of the factory mounted bolts - "and then on the inside, you're going to use a lock washer and a nut" - But you didn't show "anything" regarding the "inside"... Are you saying that on the inside of the cab we need to take back the roof top felt and add a lock washer and nut on these? I thought the factory mounting points were complete with threads and everything?? Does it travel all the way through to the inside with a lock washer and nut being needed??

The Transit Connect does not have threaded mounting points on the roof. It is just a hole into the cab/cargo area of the van. You do need to use a washer/lock-washer/nut on the inside of the van at each of the mounting points. If you want to mount to the forward most mounting location (like shown in this video), you do need to get under the headliner (See around 4:40 in this video to see more detail: czcams.com/video/m-GjJ6glGo0/video.html). However, I would recommend going into location #2 & #4 for the H2.1 roof rack. The only reason we did #1 & #5 in this video is because we previously mounted a crossbar rack in those locations and didn't want to open up any more mounting points (See 8:40 for an explanation of this).
If you have a different vehicle in mind, such as the ProMaster City, that van does have pre-threaded mounting points on the roof, so no need for washers/nuts on the inside of the van. The roof mounting varies from van to van.

@@upfitsupply @upfitsupply Thank you for a very concise and precise response. Much appreciated! I'm now subscribed to your channel and will promote it to those I know. best of luck moving your channel forward, I've enjoyed the connection and the learning experience.
This is what I am currently looking for - Rhino Rack Pioneer Platform Rooftop Cargo System 76" x 54" (52103F),Black)
However, I have NO CLUE how to "properly attach" this unit using something like these - Rhino-Rack Set of 4 Legs, Works with Vortex Bars & Pad & Clamp Kit, Made with Glass Infused Nylon, Locking Security Covers (RLKVA)
I'm an Office Equipment Dealer and this is definitely above my paygrade..... ;)

@@chrispatriot Thank you for the kind words! I don't believe the Rhino-Rack Pioneer System is compatible with the Ford Transit Connect. The RLKVA mounting kit is designed for use with their Vortex crossbar: www.rhinorack.com/en-us/products/roof-racks/cross-bar-roof-racks/vortex/vortex-2500-black-2-bar-roof-rack_ja6361

@@upfitsupply The whole reason I got locked in on this device was because of another video that I saw. I so liked the looks of it, that I wanted it. :) I apologize for placing a potential competitor's video here, but honestly didn't know any other way to properly demonstrate how I landed on that one.. ;)
