What a great comparison video! 🤗✨ From what I gather, Moterm is a good “starter”/ entry-level cover for someone like me who’s new to all this leather goodness!
The Van der Spek Codex doesn't include a Cardboard stiffener by default. Cardboard Stiffener most often needs to be a special request. I have rarely seen a VdS with cardboard stiffener over the past 5 or so years. VdS does have a Bontex (a type of stiffener) frame. This aids in the production of the cover. It also helps the cover to maintain the rectangular shape over time. The Codex does typically include a Bontex sheet (not only the frame) unless "no stiffener" is requested when ordering. Steve Morton @philofaxy has a great video comparing the types of stiffener that VdS and many other cover manufacturers use in the covers that they produce. The video is often shared and reshared in the Van der Spek Organizer Fans Group on Facebook. It's very helpful when ordering a Van der Spek Custom made cover. I hope this helps!
Hi Tammy! Thanks for your thoughts. I never requested anything about a stiffener or not. I only went with what's on the website which didn't provide that option for Codex, so I assumed that was the default, but I don't know for sure. 🤔 I've linked Steve's video in the description. Thanks for sharing!

super informative. what size is the moleskin... and would you say it would fit in the A5 slim planners as well since it's slim
Thanks for watching! Yes, the Moleskine I would say is very close to A5 Slim. The official dimensions are 5 x 8.25 inches, or 13 x 21 cm.
are you selling the gillio appunto
I am not, sorry :(
