🍀 the Django Wexler one is the one for me!
We love a chonky tbr!!
🦄 My top one on my TBR for this month is the first Veronica Speedwell book by Deanna Raybourne. I’ve heard so many good things about it.
🍀 I was meant to read light bringer last month but didn’t get to it, so I’ve got it ready to play in audible right now lol. My fave series of last year, possibly ever, I can’t even explain why I love it so much 🤷🏻♀️😄
Just watched the intro and I just want you to know something. You are one of my favorite people. I’m so happy to see you check in with a new video.
Queen B, for me was one of my top reads for June. I'm a Tudor nerd so absolutely loved it. As a novella it was a super quick read and having been pretty disappointed in Book 2 it was a great palate cleanser before book 3 comes!
Best of luck with these challenges - I'm excited for the unpredictability of the Patreon picks and the satisfaction of seeing your shelves dwindle down! ☘ In terms of the book I'm most excited to read this month it's definitely Evocation but ALSO my friend picked The Invocations for me to read so I guess we'll both be reading that one!
🍀🦄 I'm excited to (try &) catch up with Farseer series and to read more books together on patreon❤
love Juno Dawson!!
Excited to join you for Ship of Magic!
Okay but you look ADORABLE in this video! Good luck - you’ve got this! ☺️💛🍀
🧚 Reading 10+ books this month; most looking forward to the second Veronica Speedwell (because Seance Society happened-- and now I'm obsessed)!
I just started the Veronica Speedwell series in June and am loving it, too! Waiting for books 3 and 4 to come through interlibrary loan at the moment. (Even though I know I'm gonna end up buying the series eventually.)
🌈🪙 best of luck with your July TBR 😊
I’m still dealing with the effects of my catastrophic ankle break of 2024 as well.
🍀🤞🏼🍀🤞🏼🍀We need a huge good juju cleansing. I’m just playing catch up this month, not because I HAVE to DO anything, but because I would like to finish the books I have started.
🍀 I hope you have a great month
🍀 I’ve also got a couple of weeks off in July and top of my TBR is Babel by R F Kuang as I’ve been waiting to have the time to dedicate to it. I’m also taking it part in a readalong of Stephen King’s The Stand so have a hundred pages of that to tackle!
My worst book of the month was unfortunately Assassin's Quest😭😭. Royal Assassin is one of my all time favorites, but I think the final book dropped the ball SOOO hard.
🍀So so much want to pick up Red Rising, everytime you mention it it tempts me!
I'm so behind on Fitz along. I need to read Royal Assassin's and Assassin's Quest this month to catch up!
☘ welcome back!
🍀
🍀 I’m so excited to read her majesty’s royal coven but first I need to get through my 8 library books . So many great books so little time.
🍀I'm excited to read a few horror books and Middle of The Night by Riley Sager!
Yay you’re back again. ♥️♥️♥️
🧧 Ooh, Althea gets right up my nose at times - if I was Brashen, I would have been tempted to slip and push her overboard on several occasions. It's still one of my favourite parts of the Realm of the Elderlings, with some of my favourite character arcs (Kennet, Winthrop, Malta). I also consider it to have some of the richest depictions of what happens when established societies are thrown into turmoil that I've ever read. It's wild to think that I was so disappointed to be leaving Fitz behind when I first started reading it!
I have also been seeing recs for How to Become the Dark Lord (&tc) from lots of people whose tastes generally aline with mine, so it's good to add another rec to the list.
🍀I'm trying to participate in the Tarot Readathon this month, so a lot of my TBR is undecided, but I am trying to prioritize A Murder is Announced by Agatha Christie, Silver Under Nightfall by Rin Chupeco, Business Casual by BK Borison, and then hopefully make some progress on Words of Radiance.
🍀☘So glad to see you again! I am excited to continue our journey in the Fitzalong of course! I can't wait to read How to Become the Dark Lord and Die Trying. I am hoping to squeeze it in this month!
To balance out the ship of magic opinion.... I'm bloody loving it and read 400 pages in a couple of days! I'm obsessed with these characters and can't wait to find out what crazy stuff they end up getting themselves into! 😂💙🤞🧧
Good luck with your reading this month!!
I enjoyed The invocations, I would place it as NA, only because some of the body horror was a bit 🤢 even though I enjoyed it. I would personally place it as a cosy horror but then maybe that's because I'm weird.
🍀🍀 I'm not even sure what I'm reading this month. Guess i should figure that out. o.O Best of luck with your reading! Hope the ankle is healing up okay!
Hey my lovely, great to see you in another video, great to see you back xx
I am the same way with the hype train and will not read books or watch series/movies, etc, until years later (if I ever do lol).
Yes!!!! I was just in your Instagram 20 minutes ago wondering 💭if you would post soon!!!!
Yay you're back!! 💖🤞🧚♀️Top of my tbr is to finish the last book in The Last Binding trilogy by Freya Marske (queer Edwardian mystery fantasy). I'm excited to finish another series!!
I would say not reading the 3rd book of Good Girls Guide is not as bad as you may think.
🐖🐞🍀 < these are lucky symbols in Germany.
I have a million books out from the library. And I'd like to read the third book in the Lightfall series by Tim Probert (graphic novels).
Happy reading!
I keep on buying books you talk about, so now have How to Become the Dark Lord and Die Trying on its way. My most anticipated read for this month is Babylonia by Costanza Casati (my most anticipated read for '24 to be honest).

🦄🍀welcome back!
Also, How to Become the Dark Lord and Die Trying is a duology 😅
I loved it tho and am excited for the next.
I will be very surprised if you end up liking How to Become the Dark Lord and Die Trying. I was also SUPER excited for it because cheeky video game/fantasy?! Um yes please! But several early Booktuber reviews haven't been great and apparently it's clearly a female lead written by a man and then I read a GR review about the horrible bisexual rep, sexism, etc. I will be curious to get your take! 🔮
🍀 I'm focusing on series this month too. I want to finish Lockwood and Co, books 4&5. I also severely sprained my ankle last month and still recovering.
🐉

🦄
Happy July reading!! ❤📚☘️
I'll be reading the Drakon trilogy by Shana Abe.
Do you enjoy dual timeline novelists, if so may i suggest Barbara Erskine and Kate Mosse.
🍀🍀🍀🍀
Think you've got enough books to read Lianne? 🍀🤣
🦄 🍀
🍀🌈
🦄🦄
I’m glad you also don’t love Ship of Magic. I’m 60% in and not loving it.

🍀 I’m spending July finishing the TWENTY or so books I’ve started this year already. Granted some are only a page or two in but…

The Invocations is technically YA but very much on that line between YA and NA. Loving this look!!!!!
Librarian here, absolutely agree. YA technically, NA will like as well.
Have read this book and I would definitely say it goes more down the N/A road as it is a bit too strong for YA x
The writing has improved as has the pacing. I really enjoyed this book and think you will too definitely ❤
