Thank you, graphic design is fun, but preparing page layouts for print is sometime with problems.

Mostly about offset printing he’s right. But large format and digital press needs a different approach. I’m not sold on this pitch. It’s not accurate.

Hi Vincent, feel free to give specifics, could you? I mean, a non-embedded or missing font, or low resolution graphics, etc, are pretty deadly in a digital press workflow.

You are right about embedding en fonts. Type should always be converted to vector to be Shure. But if you want a nice print with colors that match. You could save anything with an Adobe rgb icc profile for digital print. Because the gamut is much wider than cmyk and you could match better in rgb. But only if it’s not offset printing. This is only for digital printing. And if you had a image fir a billboard and is a 200 meters away. Dpi could be as less as 72 dpi or even less. Some small things that do not match your vlog. I don’t want to be burning all your saying. But I like accuracy when I’m looking for ins and outs.

Oké I understand it’s not for every segment. But when I saw de RGB forbidden sign 🚫. That’s where I thought “This is not right” digital printing presses (not offset, I’ve been an offset printer for 17 years) but like a canon c710 or Konica presses. They can handle rgb just fine and because of rgb they have a better color management. I hope I did’t step on your toes.

@@vincentvanuden Oh, that is a good point. That RGB forbidden symbol is not always a problem. We did this for a third-party and were allowed to use the footage, so it was very general. For a university, for teaching students of graphic design, the generalities. Good points though, no problem! Have a great night.
