Unreal fitting experience
Not unreal, just expensive 😜
I was very fortunate that I went through a putter fitting with Jeff at Ping HQ a few years ago. The process is very detailed as mention in the video, and I came away getting fit for a putter that I never would have imagined would fit me.
My putting is much more consistent, and I now have confidence with the putter.
A great insight into a proper putting fitting. Wow, it would be an absolute miracle to pick the right putter off a shelf for any golfer.
I went through a putter fitting with SAM Putt Lab and received a lot of good information. But this putter fitting led by Jeff was on an entirely different level. Well done!
Ian was so silent and observant, its like he is learning from Jeff too! Putting playground right there.
Another great video. I had a very positive experience working with Jeff in the PLD custom fitting program. Because of the advanced analytics and insight provided by Jeff, I ended up with my traditional anser-style putter I've used for 35 years, but adjusted appropriately for my putting stroke. Added additional weight and a longer neck to provide a little less toe hang. The bespoke finish and painting details were a nice touch as well, but overall I could not be happier with the both the process and the results.
I just did this a week ago! Ended up having a strong arc, so ended up with up with the Ping PLD Kushion 4, 34 inches, 2.5 ° of loft, 360 grams. Was a great experience and seeing the gold putter Vault!
I still have my iPing cradle in an iPhone 4. Still amazing tech! Great video!
this video is AMAZING. Love the testing to understand more about putting fitting
This is fantastic! Great insights as always.
Great informative video. Thank you for pulling back the curtain to show us the options available that some of us would not know about.
Wish I knew you boys were coming to my town, I would like to have met all of you in person. Thanks for sharing. There is so much involved in an excellent fitting: Putter, wedges, irons (long and short), hybrids, woods, Driver, shafts, ball, grips, gapping, lie and loft. To do an excellent job, the process must take a 3 to 4 days. Cheers
Love the tech analysis. Really cool to see how all the stroke variables can be harmonized in a fitting
I've been lucky enough to do this, and it's absolutely a great thing. Thanks Ping.
Wowza. Jaw-dropping tech and analysis. Scary good next level stuff.
I have a PLD DS72 and it’s a thing of pure beauty 😊
I just got one I love it and I actually have a slight arc in my stroke but I've adjusted to the straighter stroke which is what the ds72 is
Love these types of videos
Wow what a great Putter fitting.
I've never been a great putter and have tried several different brands and models. I bought my current Scotty because i liked the way it looked. I hit a few putts in the store and thought it fit well. I really should get fitted for the right putter. Thanks for the info and great video.
I was in that exact spot a month ago. Fantastic experience!!!
Very tempted to visit Arizona for this experience
This is the best putter fitting video I've ever seen. I am very impressed with Quintic as a coaching tool; maybe not so much as a fitting tool. The Ping hardware and app looks like a quick, simple, and brilliant way to quickly narrow down the almost infinite options for putter to a select few for further testing. Hopefully it can find it's way into multiple fitting stores and become available to the masses.
Awesome as usual 🤙
Brilliant video guys 👍👍👍👍
Awesome content you guys have here.
Brilliant video!
That was great! Really informative!
This is incredible
Awesome content.
Almost frightening to see all the detailed data.
what a sweet process, i hope it can get more locations.
This was a very informative video thx guys!!!!!!
That was awesome 👏
Great experience here gents!
great video
Great as usual
That is so cool. Would love to go through that process
Amazing how technology has changed the game!
Wow I nearly bought a new putter off the shelf today. Not after watching this a putter fitting is a no brainer
I'm pretty happy that i got +4.2 hdcp when i tested this app
I had the opportunity to go through a fitting with Jeff. Got the Anser Vault putter. Still love it!
Would love to try it!
Welcome to Phoenix! Enjoy the weather. :-)
Not as good as this but I fully endorse the iPing app. I downloaded the app a few years ago and got all my stats after finishing about 5 putts. It even gave me 5 recommendations. The info is super useful but honestly the most important for me as a tall golfer was the rec that I needed a 36” length. It told me Heppler Tomcat or Ketch were recommended but I went with the Tomcat because I found an adjustable shafted one on EBay. Totally helped my putting. My app stats were good for rotation and direction but lie and loft were terrible. I’m sure the having a putter 2” longer corrected that. I can’t remember the last time I’ve had a 3 putt.
Good to hear. But for me, I cannot putt the same with the phone clipped to my putter.
I put a small round magnet at the back of my Ping Scottsdale Craz-E too left handed putter and it became impossible to miss any putt ten feet in!
This putter forces you to have the correct lie and shaft lean. The line on top makes proper alignment easier. The added weight rolls the ball truer.
I have the DS72. Would love to know how to add the slight toe hang like he mentioned. Where and how would you bend it
Does the phone being on the putter not change the stroke? Even the anti-theft clip on some stores messes mine up.
Would have loved to see the combo w Quintíc see how Ping’s tech adds/confirms it
What would you have recommended if he had been righty and left-eye dominant, so conflicting. Less offset, center-shaft?
Is the “aim” based on the face at impact or at address? If it’s at address, isn’t impact what’s ultimately important? If you’re looking for consistency, as long as the difference between the two is consistent, that’s what’s important right?
Does anyone know where to get the cradle? I cannot afford to do the pld custom program but I imagine I can afford a cradle?
Nice would love to be fitted .. just bought PLD Anser this past weekend .. one question why no white putting line ?
Can’t you customize one if you want?
I wonder, what are some names of good putters who are surprisingly far down on that Ping consistency leaderboard?
Hmmmm....not happened to my post regarding this video. Was it removed or was the original video removed and then re-uploaded? That aside, I called Ping and they said, the only way to get the cable is after you start their Customer PLD fitting process. I had posted the link before but will not do it this time if that caused some contact violation.
Is this fitting available in the UK?
I was custom fit at Club Championship on SAMPutt Lab in March of this year and I felt it was great, BUT this custom fit is unreal ! I’m happy with my Odyssey Eleven, BUT
I would love to have a custom fit at Ping HQ.
Soo sad ball manic not available in Canada
i wish i could do somthing like this, too bad i change my stroke for the putter lol.
How does this fitting factor in stroke? It seems it’s strictly aimed based and doesn’t factor in the swing arc or the head weight for distance control.
Is the putter fitting in the PLD lab possible if you choose just go with one of the stock ping options and adjust that putter according to the specs that come out ? Or do you have to pay the 1200 price tag and only then get access to this experience?
The $1200 is for the experience more than the putter. That perfectly flat granite slab wasn't free.
The putter fitting is available, if you so choose you can sign up for the PLD custom fitting which is $200. Then they take that off of the putter you choose. So you in total spend $1200 total. But if you wanted you could spend $200 for the fitting and then buy off rack if you’d like.
I wish the Ping putting app was available to the public still. I would pay to have continued access to the app as it was like having a personal putting analyzer. I still have the cradle. When I would putt poorly, I would unintentionally add loft at impact instead of leading with the hands. The app would tell me this.
Looks like it’s still available. I downloaded the iPing 2.0 app… had to search using "Ping Golf" in the Apple App Store. I can’t find a cradle that would work with an iPhone 11 😡
I wonder how a Super Stroke grip would impact Matt’s numbers vs the grip used. No real talk about grip preference.
We talked a lot about shaft and grips, just didn’t make the Final Cut.
Ping, please add a Tess to the PLD!
never realized these guys at TXG were canadian throughout the GTA
Would love to putt on that. Rick and morty style "true level"
Would be curious to know the largest handicap improvement they have seen in a single fitting.
My heartbeat would be 185 if Ian was watching me like that putting. Got me nervous holding my iPad
Want to get fitted
Did the video get taken down?
Not sure...all I know is my original post was taken removed for some reason.
It would have been cool to see the gamer made and compared against the initial. Still a cool video
Where can I buy the iPing cradle?
You cannot, only way is to participate in the PLD Customs Fitting program. Hence, $1,300 fitting program.
@@golf007sd2 Just ridonculous for the average guy. I want to be fitted properly and have the $ to spend, but not willing to flush an extra $750 down the drain. No reason you couldn't be fitted adequately (for an 8 hcp like me) for under $600 out the door.
I bought one on ebay not long ago
I'd pay the fee for the actual process in this video. It is sad that it is really hard to get some places like this.
"Not everything that can be measured matters, not everything that matters can be measured"....Einstein.
I think he misspoke when he said 70 tons? 140,000lbs or 5 semi trucks stacked on top on one another? I doubt the foundation is built for that. But great video.
he said the slab had its own foundation: I think he meant it.
I never knew Jonah Hill knew so much about putting.
Ping seem to be way out infront of other manufacturers in their fitting systems.
Amazing thanks so much
No Tony on the leaderboard? Not surprised! He’d win 30 times if he was a great putter
