We're both pilots of our vessels, and I really enjoy seeing someone as passionate and as knowledgable as you maneuver that tug around. Gives me the same sense of duty and love for the job that I get when in an airplane. I love watching the technical aspects as well as the beauty and precision of your job, even though I don't know much about maritime operations. Keep em coming!
You need to transition from the red lights to green lights like we did in the military. Such a relief on the eyes, the green light is way easier on the eyes.
Great night ops video. Don't worry, very good audio of everything, even the sound of cavitation when you lean hard on the other vessel with that sweet sound of the two EMD's. Big shout out to the crews who man VTS operations. 🤙👍 CUOTO
I absolutely love watching you do your thing! I have grown up on the water and I just love it and can’t get enough of it. I also can’t get enough of your channel. I patiently but impatiently wait for the alert of a new video.

Looks like uncle Joe in Margery has a line on her in front of you there 30:00… Hey, you all talked about working around as far as Houston. Ask Joe if he remembers “Belcher Towing” in the port of Miami in the 70s? I don’t remember what happened to them.🤷🏻♂️ I think Foss bought them, then Crowley. Not sure now. They used to work the passenger ships (the cargo docks weren’t there yet) also the fuel barges to places like Turkey Point power station in homestead. Had a friend the was a mate there when I left to NC for 27 years, lost track of everyone.
I’m cool with both but the early morning sunrise is definitely my favorite time to be working or driving the boat anywhere. Thanks for watching! And answering all those questions 🤙
Another excellent video Does your tug have azipods? I was a deck hand on a smaller work boat we hauled mainly mud scows out of port of Baltimore have a safe day
Does anyone know why the windows are at the angles they are? (working from the middle-bar at waist height, they angle outwards above and beneath it) - if anything i'd expect a more streamlined shape with the middle-bar being the most protruded part and the windows above and below angled in towards the room (inwards)... maybe something about sun light deflection/refraction?🤔
@@tugboatwilly843 ah, but not the "edge" of the stern, right? Like, not far back. Because the tug moves pretty well sideways for something that would have it's thrust vector so far back...
Right they are more on the stern but not right at it. They are also really big so when you turn them you are moving a lot of water which makes it easier to walk the boat sideways
You get my kids and nephews speech. Technology serves US... not the other way around. If skipping through portions of a video is too much for you, then how is it you get to dictate to somebody else to manage your time for you? He went through the trouble to capture and post his experience. Life is not a reality show fueling your distractions. Floating around on water moving these massive vessels around making it look boring to some... represents skill and confidence to the rest.
Not gonna lie.... can't get enough of this. Humming engines, crank that bass all the way to 11
Hell yeah 🤙
Audio is good. The more play-by-play you can provide, the better. Very interesting videos.
Noted! Thanks for watching!

I will definitely give that a try. Thank you for your service! Also thanks for watching! 🫡

That was him and I’ll definitely ask him about this. I have not seen him today. Truly appreciate you watching!
Why is bro so afraid of the cam? Wanted by the federales?? Love the content! Thank you for taking the time to bring the cam along.
Much appreciated 🤙
Love your videos... just wondering what kind of work schedule you have.... ?
Much appreciated! We work 2 weeks on 2 weeks off and while we are on we work 6 hour shifts. Thanks for watching!
No Mic, turn up the bass on my speakers ... Feels like I'm there with you!
Hell yeah 🤙
Pretty cool. Do you have a preference night vs day? Myself I'd probably be more towards night, but I do like a good sunrise.
I’m cool with both but the early morning sunrise is definitely my favorite time to be working or driving the boat anywhere. Thanks for watching! And answering all those questions 🤙
Great videos would you consider pov cam for example head or chest so we see what you see
Will do! Thanks for watching!
Look at the youtube star LOL
It’s all you Boss! Happy Saturday!
Another excellent video Does your tug have azipods? I was a deck hand on a smaller work boat we hauled mainly mud scows out of port of Baltimore have a safe day
Yes. They are z drives but I’m pretty sure that’s basically the same thing. Thanks for watching! 🤙
Do you ever wish you were on one of those ships going across the Atlantic? Just curious...
Every now and then not going to lie. But also I love getting off and on every 2 weeks. Thanks for watching 🤙
Serene. Awesome.
🫡
curious as to how you guys do shifts? see you during the day and at night.
I work 06-12 and 18-24. Ian works 0001-06 and 12-18. Thanks for watching!
@@tugboatwilly843 6 on 6 off, 12 hr days. OT after 40. thanks for taking the time to make vids. you have an interesting job.

Do you have rubber under the water line so you can push on the bulbous bow? What do you have for engines and hp?
We do have rubber all the way down and almost 7000 hp. Thanks for watching 🤙
Who makes the final call if a sail needs to be cancelled due to bad weather?
USCG cuts it off at a certain point but before that the Pilot and the Captain of the ship. Thanks for watching 🤙
is it difficult to work at night?😮😊
Not really. Just have to know what you are looking at. Thanks for watching!
Where in the vessel are the z-pods located? In the center, or in the stern?
More on the stern. Thanks for watching!

I can not see anything
Please try to edit these down. Too much dead time. Watchers only have so much time to watch.
Thanks for watching 🤙
