  • The first cruise ship to go in to Cammell Laird in almost 25 years comes back out to return to her cruise schedule, she has 5 more trips before the season ends. She was in for some needed maintenance i believe cost 5.1 Million.

    Wow, amazing footage. It's great what humans can do when we work together on one level, the work and engineering in ships, big rigs and Aeroplanes amazes me.
    Again great footage, the river and the surrounding area looks perfect in the video.
    Thanks.

    Another great catch Paul, you must have a secret informer of when things are about to happen. I saw the ship berthed at Princess Dock on Sunday at 03.45

      thanx. Mixture of right place right time, asking questions and keeping ear to the ground. I knew she was due out on Saturday so timed it with high tide :)

    I saw her after we arrived in Fakarava, French Polynesia , she leaned heavily I thought going out to the pass , it was a Holland America Line ship then

    Another Brilliant Video, thank you. Just wondering why was the stern tug still attached when Borealis was under her own power mid River?

    • @veryhighguy
      @veryhighguy  Před rokem

      No 100% sure but could of been because she was on a bit of a test run after coming out. She headed off to the the bay to do some trials before she continued her cruise schedule the next day. It could of been a safety thing while still in the river.

      @@veryhighguy Thank you Paul. I think your spot on there. Backing out from the dock, the tide could have easily got hold of her and took her up/down River. I wonder if the time of departure was chosen just as the tide changed, so there would be the least flood or ebb of water flowing.

      @@fp30e they almost always bring any ship out at high tide.
