- Today, April 15th is Claudia Cardinale's birthday! As a tribute, this video showcases 10 of her movies from 1960 or earlier (credits in the video); photos are also from 1960 or earlier. By the time she was 22, Claudia was in several masterpieces of European film: Rocco and His Brothers, Big Deal on Madonna Street, and Facts of Murder. The color films shown are Upstairs and Downstairs and Austerlitz (I might include them in my video Claudia Cardinale 19 but I didn't have the DVDs then). For music, I thank my friend Claudia as I open with one of her fave's, Alan Menken's Transformation from Beauty and the Beast. Otherwise I use some very classic Italian pieces: Beniamino Gigli, the great Neapolitan tenor sings La canzone dell'amore and Nino Rota's La Strada trumpet and piano themes.

Claudia Cardinale still remains one of the world's most exquisitely stunning women of all time..... She is a wonderful actress with many memberable movies to her name, just love her and those awesome eyes and smile... Claudia still has you catching your breath when you see stunning photos of her. Very beautiful tribute as ever, Doug! Claudia is just stunning. And despite the fact that she's a terrific beauty and sexy, she suits perfectly for serious dramatic roles. Now many sites say that she was born in 1938, though she was born in 1939. Thank you for this tribute! The music is amazing!

@HAPPYTHELEAF good Q! She continued making movies...some very very good...e.g, Herzog's Fitzcarraldo, La Storia, etc...she still is making them and in demand in Europe. Some of her best acting was in the 1980s, also she is active with the UN, causes and lives in Paris now (French was her language growing up...with a little Sicilian and Arabic...not Italian).

@HAPPYTHELEAF Thanks! MacRipper, Square 5 mpeg ripper (or whatever its name) and sometimes HandBrake...it depends on the DVD format and quality. I try to save at the higher qualities so an iMovie file could take 30 GB.

Claudia ( Venus of all times )does not seem the creature of our planet Earth. GOD must have created her with His own hands. I have a secret to share that I , fell in love with her fifty years ago when I had chance to see her in a movie for the first time. But, now when I have find out that she has millions of lovers around the globe, where do I stand? I wish if I were the gloves of her hands or a necklace around her neck, so that I could always listen her heart beat . I am of the opinion that Greek & Italian soil is very rich ( fertile ) in feminine beauty. I apologise to all other women who do not belong to this region. I will highly appreciate if you could upload her more & more ( many more ) movies. I want to see Claudia and no one else and this is the name I love from the core of my heart. Thanks for giving me opportunity to share my thoughts. Bye bye for the time being.
