To me it seemed like L-Drago was tired of Ryuga using his own strength and on equal grounds with Kyoya, so he straight up controls Ryuga.
Yes, it's the dark power taking control. Not because ryuga would've lost but because the dark power only cares about getting fed. A victory without getting fed is only a waste of energy for the dark power. So it took control to feed on kyoya instead of allowing ryuga to "waste" his energy battling him
@@hayabusa1329 based on how the fight was going, with both beys losing power and stamina at the exact same rate, I would tend to think it would've ended in a draw. Kyoya had his new special move, but we also know that l drago's true power is stronger than the dark power (the dark power possessed ryuga, not l drago), so both had an ace up their sleeves
@@docomega7862 According to Beyblade logic a bey’s power is infinite, and it’s up to the wielder to draw out as much power as possible. That’s completely dependent on the capabilities of each wielder. Unless base Ryuga were strong enough on his own to put out the same amount of power (or more) than the Soaring Destruction he would’ve lost to Kyoya’s new move.
I think this was honestly the first time we actually see the real Ryuga without being under the Dark Power’s influence.
Kyoya challenging Ryuga to a real battle with Ryuga’s own strength instead of the Dark Power momentarily snapped Ryuga out of the Dark Power’s influence/hold over Ryuga that its had all Season ever since he touched L-Drago. It was the first time where we’ve seen Ryuga’s true Blader’s Spirit.

Not really. He was using 100 fang fury to slow down L Drago and ryiga said that wont do nothing to stop me and Kyoya was sent flying and he almost lost until gingka yelled kyoya's name

PEAK TIME, the Best fight between the two best characters in my opinion. This felt like a climax and I actually thought Kyoya might pull it off. So basically Kyoya won against Ryuga in a head up fight especially Ryuga agreeing with Kyoya using his own strength. But Kyoya lost to L Drago who took over and used the power of all the other blader’s it stole.

Kyoya’s new move clashed equally with Soaring Destruction until Kyoya inevitably succumbed to the Dark Power. This means that unless Ryuga were strong enough on his own he would’ve lost to Kyoya’s new move.
@@tacotruck5009 I think it's pretty widely accepted in the fandom that L-Drago wouldn't have taken over Ryuga if Ryuga could have beaten Kyoya by himself. If L-Drago hadn't powered up, Kyoya would have won this.
@@alpha-sama There was a comment near the top of this section that, in my opinion, perfectly described what happened. The dark power emerged and took control of Ryuga because it was hungry. Its only purpose is to feed by absorbing blader's power. So, when Ryuga wasn't relying on it, the dark power didn't get its food. It emerged simply because it felt the need to feast.

I would like to point out that even though against Tsubasa Ryuga was using the stolen power of other bladers it won't really make any significant difference since Ryuga by that point had only stolen the power of complete fodders like Hikaru and the dark nebula bladers and later on he took the power of aome strong bladers like Doji and Tsubasa which would actually matter
It's interesting because it's never explained in detail but kyoya was probably stronger than ryuga here L-drago panicked because kyoya was pushing ryuga back then after L-drago taking over the fight he used all the power he had at that time and kyoya was STILL able to go toe to toe with it
I think so too because Ryuga would’ve needed to be strong enough without the Dark Power in order to defeat Kyoya’s new special move. Kyoya’s new move was able to clash equally against the Dragon Emperor Soaring Destruction (DESD), at least temporarily. Kyoya would’ve won.
I think L-Drago just didn’t like that Kyoya was closer in comparison to Ryuga while he was using his power even though he was still winning. And the whole idea of the battle was to steal Kyoya’s power to use against Gingka in the final battle so L-Drago had to come out and took over. THIS BATTLE WAS SO EPIC, I COULD WATCH IT AT ANY TIME AND GET HYPED!!!!
L drago did not intervene. The dark power did. The dark power doesn't care about victory or defeat, it only cares about feeding on the opponent. Ryuga winning without the dark power would be a loss of food for the dark power. That's why the dark power intervened, not to win but to get fed

@@emmy4537 that's not the point. Kyoya winning or losing is completely irrelevant to the intervention of the dark power. The dark power doesn't care about victory. The dark power cares about getting fed. When it possessed ryuga it called all the energy that ryuga spent in the fight wounds that had to be healed. If ryuga won without the dark power, the dark power would consider that a loss. Ryuga was dominating the fight even without the dark power, kyoya winning is a stretch
IMO Kyoya is the GOAT of the series. Ryuga has antagonist plot armor and a special bey. Gingka has a special bey and has protagonist plot armor. Kyoya out here on the same level with a regular bey

As I wrote elsewhere, I believe that Kyoya vs Ryuga was more exciting, whereas Gingka vs Ryuga was more epic.

It wasn't L-Drago taking over Ryuga; it was the dark power. These are two different things.

In Metal Masters, Ryuga said that the dark power actually corrupted L-Drago, as its original power wasn't evil in the first place. He also stated that L-Drago's own power is much greater than the dark power itself. Getting back to the subject, the dark power emerged and took control of Ryuga, not because it was concerned about Kyoya winning, but because it needed to feast on the blader's spirit. The dark power is a malevolent entity whose primary goal is to feed on the power of other bladers in order to grow stronger. When Ryuga battled Kyoya using only his own natural power and skills, the dark power couldn't absorb Kyoya's strength. Eventually, it became impatient and decided to take over Ryuga so it could steal the power of Kyoya and Leone, to "heal the wounds," if you will.
Now, saying that Kyoya would have won against Ryuga is a stretch, as Kyoya was getting pushed back throughout the battle, and Ryuga never even flinched. The best Kyoya could have hoped for was a draw since he was truly matching Ryuga's power at some points. However, the key word is 𝗠𝗔𝗧𝗖𝗛𝗜𝗡𝗚, not surpassing. So, as Madoka had stated that both L-Drago's and Leone's power was dropping at the same rate, the most likely outcome is that this battle would have ended in a stalemate.
