- The 2023 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix capped off this year's Formula 1 season with Max Verstappen taking his 19th win of the year, and becoming the first driver to lead 1,000 laps in a season. Charles Leclerc finished P2 for Ferrari but couldn't propel them to 2nd place in the constructors' championship, narrowly losing out to Mercedes. George Russell for Mercedes finished third place, after Sergio Perez was given a questionable penalty for contact with Lando Norris earlier in the race. Yuki Tsunoda capped off his season by winning Driver of the Day and achieving his best qualifying result and race result of the season, but it was not enough to propel AlphaTauri past Wiliams for 7th in the constructors' championship.

Man the move that max pulled on Leclerc from the outside is so underrated🔥
I don’t know how Max pulled of the manoeuvre at 1:10 but man its impressive
Max just has insane feel and control and positions his car perfectly in fights like this, but I also think Charles Leclerc is to nice/soft in fighting him.. He should not give Verstappen the space to make these moves if he really wants to beat him.. Just push him wide (of the track eventually), like I'm pretty sure Max would do if the roles were reversed.. But I think Leclerc also knows it's not worth the risk because Max will overtake him again anyway..

It’a not one of the most dominant seasons ever, it is THE most dominant season ever. It was hard to watch sometimes (even as a max fan), but we witnessed something special that won’t be repeated in the next maybe 40-50 years, which is insane.
And as always nice video

Yeah, we both got to see a living legend in his prime. Something that will go down in history and be talked about for a very long time and also alot of fighting during the season behind P1. Just look how close the battle was between Merc and Fer. The rise of McLaren back to the front. The 7 podiums of Alonso and finishing 4th in championship. Return ot Williams in the mid-field and finishing P7 constructors.
Ive enjoyed this season alot even if we got the same winner for 19 races and same team for 21.

Again and again and again: it's the better version of Veloce's Backseat Driver! It's almost the same but the variaty of content creator's reaction is great and it's so cool to watch the most crucial moments of the race again and also having the reactions as an addition to see how other people experienced the race. It would be amazing to see quali reactions as well but Matt and Tommy are pretty much the only ones who are streaming quali as well but nevertheless I'm hyped for next season already and as for now I don't know if I either would prefer a more dominant season by Max or a championship he has to fight for a bit more.
Btw until the end I didn't even that this you who is part of the videos for a couple of races now haha

If people would tell me that McClaren sacrificed Lando for a Mercedes P2 in the Constructors title I would not be shocked. To me it seems that they were already done with changing the tires from Lando and that they were literally waiting for George to get released for his pitstop before the released Lando.

I been watching this series since the start in Bahrain and the evolution in the quality of your videos has been enormous. I watch the races live with friends and it's such a bother to watch the whole race again to see the reactions from the different streamers so these compilations are fantastic.
Once thank you to all the streamers, the difference in team affiliations and their different reactions is really fun to watch. Also thank you Kris for including female streamers as a lot of the time the motorsport space is male dominated.

All the people in charge of tv direction are bolting their doors after how bad they were this year
That move Hamilton on Tsunoda was actually relevant. If Leclerc would have made it work and finished P2 with Russell P4, Merc and Ferrari would have been equal on points with Ferrari winning on countback. So the team will have told Hamilton that he needed to make the move on Tsunoda, which would have given P2 back to Merc.

I think they where a bit hars on the tv directors this time. Charles never backed up Russel and was over 3 second ahead of Russel the entire lap. Nothing to watch there.
