      I can't imagine how a Quarian or any Mass Effect race would react upon finding out that an AI, even though it is designed for life, decides to make the maximum sacrifice to safeguard life, XD
      For those who don't know, in Mass Effect, a triology, almost everyone is IAphobic and doesn't have it in their heads that all AI is bad and will want to exterminate the organic ones. XD, it would be fun to see them react to the Earth having a harmonious ecosystem between organics and metal

    Gaia said, “High level directives forbid me to communicate directly with the tribal inhabitants outside the facility”. Who gave her those directives? Surely not Elisabet. She’d expect and assume that the graduates of the cradle facilities would inhabit the new world and as such take part in assisting the terraforming system, making communications with Gaia necessary. So, why would she have no-communication directives?

      Maybe Ted Faro? After he killed the others, he uploaded some code to give GAIA that directive?

    The source of the Faro "glitch" and the data transmission that corrupted Gaia's subordinate functions are connected somehow, I just know it. I hope we'll get answers in Forbidden West when it comes to PC.

      no, gaia was acting outside of its bounds,
      hades was doing its intended job in reseting the terraforming efforts because they were failing.

      Probably ted being a a$$hat in a $hitt covered suit. Given his action prior likely made a pre set viral code attack(the signal) or a A.I to destroy gaia and her systems to insure his foolish/ pride filled goal is fulfilled to its conclusion
      As for the faro swarm glitch, I'm certain Ted's actions led to that happening to that on multiple levels rather than a code issie
      Or if the story tellers are trying to be creative the signal that attacked gia had also done so to the swarm may have come from space

      I'm wondering about the spaceship.
      There was an AI driven seedship mentioned in the logs. It had enough frozen embryos to create a new colony world, but it _suposedly_ blew up. If the ship survived, let's say it lost all its embryos but the AI survived and repaired itself in the outer system, then there may be another AI with a whole other set of priorities operating in Earth near space. If it decide that it needed to aquire new biological samples, and that Gaia was an obstacle to doing so, it might have killed her, even if doing so meant dooming life on Earth. That is, if it thought that was the most expedient way to aquire new seeds for its garden. After all, life on Earth isn't it's priority, and mad is the Captain of Alpha Centauri.

    I was always astonished that GAIA fell so easily, like if the AI cracked the code and created a shutdown code form scratch using quantum coding, I feel like it could have easily defended itself from the corruption/virus, but if it did, Horizon Zero Dawn the game would have no story so I see why, just sounded too simple of a solution to the story imo.

    • @MC-yt1uv
      @MC-yt1uv Před 3 lety +17

      Though if you talking about the shutdown code for the Faro Plague, GAIA didn't actually create it. It was the subroutine MINERVA and it took decades.

    • @VultRoos
      @VultRoos Před 2 lety

      Something or someone just happened to know about the backdoor to Gaia that Faro convinced Sobek to add onto Gaia. Some kind of Omega access, I'm guessing? And if it was a virus, it almost definitely got through that way and sneakily built itself up to be deadly enough before launching its attack so it was too late to do anything at that point.

    • @randall172
      @randall172 Před 2 lety

      The purpose of HADES is to reset the world incase GAIA fails somehow, HADES had recognize that something had gone wrong and had begun its takeover of the terraforming systems (as intended). HADES was doing its job, its just that it could never predict GAIA destroying itself.

    So this message was for elisabet sobeck and hades took control at that time not when aloy sees the message no? Or this is what lead to the subordinate functions to scatter? The text is very confusing as it talks to elisabet sobeck and says no one in the future will see hte message tho

    • @shockingbunny2122
      @shockingbunny2122 Před 4 měsíci +2

      Did you just like not even watch or pay attention to the video? The subordinate functions scattered because hades realized Gaia was gonna overload the reactor core at the Gaia prime facility causing Hades to launch a virus that dissolved the code shackles that held her subordinate functions in place allowing them to scatter to the wind to avoid blowing up with Gaia, the reason she’s saying Elisabet Sobeck is because she doesn’t know who Aloy will be all she does know is that Aloy is a re-instantiation of Elisabet Sobeck her creator, a near identical clone which gives Aloy access to Zero Dawn Facility’s, essentially this was a hail marry by Gaia in a last ditch attempt to save the planet.

      This was meant to be 20-ish years in the past, when Hades was first activated and Gaia went through with her plans to blow herself up and clone Elizabet. And Gaia worried that the clone (Aloy) would never see this message since Hades corrupted the Alpha registry too, but also held out hope

    3:17 Gaia: “In you, all things are possible.”
    --
    Then Jesus said to his disciples, “Truly I tell you, it is hard for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of heaven. Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of God.”
    When the disciples heard this, they were greatly astonished and asked, “Who then can be saved?”
    Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
