It wouldn't have mattered which one he chose first. The first and only real mistake was how much he poured on to it.
At 0:46, he just poured it on the slizzard instead of dripping a drop or two. That is what made it grow so fast, then he slips the rest onto the others, making them grow fast too
And then proceeds to say he is no loon
He's not going nuts, he's just being too scared to go out there.

I watched this movie when I was 3 years old in August 2002 & now I’m 24 years old
Island man: unlike any creatures you've ever seen.
Juni: horse fly?
Island man: uh huh.
Honey lemon: aww, is a catfish.
Finn: look Jake, a dog sheep.
Jake: wow.
Sheen: cool! Is a spider monkey!
