I still really like the sea sparrow, it feels a lot snappier and more responsive than the Buzzard, for instance. I don't really use it for PVP, so the weapon differences don't really matter for me.
I would love to see more vehicles attached to service vehicles more often like the oppressor and terrorbyte
Yea I just love how fast it is too. Itâs basically the same speed as a hydra at low altitude
I was using the sea sparrow back in the casino update, because it was so underrated. It was fast and had center mounted missiles which made it perfect for pvp.
I wish the stored Personal Vehicle on the sub counted as a Moon Pool vehicle too. It's really frustrating it's not the case.
I ended up parking my Stromberg on the submarine and my Toreodor in my Mobile Operations Center garage so I can quick-call it from the menu. I honestly might just buy a second Toreodor.
The sparrow is a MUST for the heist if youâre doing it a lot
And if you have the extra cash, the torreador or however you spell it, is great for the Kosatka prep mission. Dont even have to leave the water just blow up the boats and heli's first and then your golden. Those boosts are amazing underwater. I always jump out of the water like a dolphin lol
It's not too shabby at air to ground pvp either, as long as you are on free aim as it's quite easy for any skilled pilot to dodge missles

Yes the mk2 is good too but the time you save just being able to hop on the sparrow from inside the sub right after starting the prep AND the time you save just being able to fly back and press left on the d lad to get in *AND* the top speed of the sparrow makes it so much more worth it in the long run

Don't even need the torreador for prep mission just fast travel to location drive kosatka underwater next to other sub and swim to hatch and then back, job completeđ

I looked into this myself, the Sea Sparrow's floaties are literally just wide enough to not fit honestly. Wish they made it just a tad bigger though. They could have made the moonpool area a little bigger but I guess they decided against it or were too lazy. Would have been much better to be able to park the Sea Sparrow in there. Not to mention the kosatka setup for the jammer, landing on the water instead of on a nearby island.

Should have just called it the stormberg 2. I regret buying the stormberg, I mean itâs good that it can take like 2 or 3 rockets but the water is just not fun for me. I was hoping for it to be faster and thatâs what the toreador does. Pros and cons to both but I prefer the toreador lol

i realised that while doing the preps for the madrazo files, i was being cheap and didnt buy any upgrades but thats the first thing i did xD
Fr. I got it because I found that helis are workhorses and make it easy to travel (like from the yacht or CEO building). I was RIGHT. Doing the Cayo Perico set ups are a breeze because of how fast and agile it is, and the submarine being spawned around the map makes for a great mobile helipad. It's expensive, but a damn fine investment.

Every setup can be done with only the chopper. Only the plasma cutter setup is nice to follow up with an armored karuma.

â@@AdamSchadow the collisions and hitboxes make it so basically every vehicle you park on top of the sub falls off slowly, unless you put it where the sparrow entrance is, right in front of where the missiles launch, and even there it doesnt always stay put. With the sparrow you can just approach the sub full speed and spamming E to enter it and you go right in, unlike if you were to park something up top you need to get out, get in the sub, start the mission, get out of the sub and run/swim all the way to the back to be able to climb up where you left the mk2.
By the time you make it to start going to the location, you would basically already be there with the sparrow

@@valgo8128 In a Mk2 pretty much all of them do that. I've seen some ridiculously bad at it even tho all you need to do is get used to the angle the Mk2 tilts down and shoot while you fly-by. Once again evident that 99% of MK2 users have an average IQ of -20

The sparrow is great but is rough when landing. It gets damaged when landing. The buzzard has legs that bend a bit when landing.
Never noticed this issue, mainly because you take the sparrow out, go to grab your heist prep, then fly it back to your sub... It gets repaired automatically so you don't have to worry about damaging.
It's pretty exciting when your sparrow is smoking and starting to fail, and you're making a last dash to the submarine.
Also, a neat trick is to fly low towards your sub, spin it so it is basically drifting while facing the same direction as the sub, and just spam the button you use to enter the sub. It literally stops you mid-flight and brings you in. I've managed to outrun a few Oppressor Griefers using this trick.

Yeah buzzard you can pretty much crash land, slide into a car and it will still be functional. Sparrow goes black smoke if there is a small breeze of wind when you land.
One thing I really like about the Sparrow is you can call it in at LSIA. For me I could never call in CEO vehicles it would just say âDelivery Not Availableâ (for the CEO vehicles) being able to call in the sparrow is a huge advantage. This is one of the best vehicles from the update.

Since cayo perico dropped, I've used 4 vehicles to make money... kosatka, toreador and sparrow overwhelmingly, and the phantom wedge sprinkled in to do the longfin prep. It's been a fun stretch of time.
I found that the submarine set up is better to use, it can spawn you at the drainage tunnel for the finale and you can literally just swim away from the island to escape xD
@@The_Sea_Guardian that might be more efficient, especially if you have a partner... but I'll take any excuse to use the phantom wedge. It's a really fun prep, and I still get elite challenge solo with an under-10 minute completion time. More than good enough for me
@@The_Sea_Guardian See I like using the Longfin cause then I can spawn in at the Main Dock or North Dock (depends what I scoped out) and not get spotted by 2-3 guards and just loot up the place before going to the Drainage Tunnel, I'd go Drainage first then go to the dock etc but those 2 guards and camera you get to after leaving the Compound always spot me(possibly my potato aim alerts them) so I loot, get main thing then jump off the island and swim away lol.

Only gripe is that it feels really flimsy if you hit the ground too hard on a landing and smokes easily

I used to love the buzzard but the sparrow is now a must have for me. Itâs all I use
i only bought a sparrow because i was doing cayo perico heist setups a lot, before i bought it i would just park a hydra, buzzard or deluxo on my submarine and it was still pretty easy doing setups. i wasn't gonna buy a sparrow because i already had the buzzard but i bought it anyway and the fact that you don't need to be in a ceo to call it unlike the buzzard is great (some sessions don't let you join a ceo if too many people are in a ceo or mc club)
the armor is like paper. Everytime I land it, it takes damage and starts smoking after landing it like twice
If u are using it just for cayo heists, then 2 landings is more than enough

Finally bought the sub and started doing Cayo heists today and decided to buy this after my first heist. This is my first heli purchase so i was worried if I had wasted my money on this versus a different one and Iâm feeling a lot better about my purchase after watching this. Super quick and versatile and itâs a godsend for travel to and from the sub.

The Sparrow is just so amazing for my Heist setups, it moves like a blur in LS, it's small enough to land in decent spots, I can go to and from the sub with it, if it blows up it just goes back to the sub, rockets could be better but most heist setups really don't need good rockets anyways and the armor is kinda crap but I always make it back to the sub with few issues.
Seriously, this Sparrow is an amazing investment for the sub and I'd recommend it for any player
This is one of my favorite methods of transportation now, I love this thing and how easy it is to call or access it
Great video man totally agree on the sparrow I love it but one thing to mention is unlike the buzzard once you've called it to you it can't be called back again if for example you had to drive a vehicle somewhere after landing. The fixes are to either destroy it when you know you've got to drive away from it, return to storage and call it again(but there's a delay on this) or just call your buzzard instead :)

I use it a lot, itâs hella weak tho always gets destroyed lol. I like the fact that you can right keypad to get inside the sub quickly like the CEO office helipad
Only negative of the sparrow I have to say is the landing gear. Unlike all other choppers with "normal" landing gear, the sparrow doesn't flex at all, no matter how delicately you land, it does a horrible clunk and the chopper takes a bit of damage. The damage isn't an issue really but other choppers are way easier and nicer to land because of this.

This compare to the Buzzard is like comparing a gaming laptop to an office laptop lol. It faster, better at combat and overall just a much better helicopter, but what make the Buzzard still great is its size and handling. The Sparrow is small but it's long tail and its sensitive handling still make it kinda clunky when you want to land at some narrow space, unlike the Buzzard. I'm glad that I can now spawn 2 helicopters instantly in front of my face. Itâs just so convinient now.
The only good thing the Buzzard has that the Sparrow doesn't is the hitbox. That's it.
As someone who has been flying helicopters & planes since day one, the sparrow replaces the buzzard. The extra sensitivity is what was really needed for a helicopter in order to have better movement. The sparrow is a helicopter meant for ace pilots or pilot-preferred players who know how to handle helicopters very well, while the buzzard is user-friendly and can be used by even someone who rarely flies helicopters, and this is another reason why I prefer the sparrow over the buzzard. As for the landing, Iâve only seen complaints about it from people who donât know how to handle helicopters very well and rely too much on the wheels that such helicopters like the Savage have
@@mr.fridayatholidays5642 I have no trouble landing Sparrow and could perfectly land it on almost everywhere. I mostly use it now instead of the Buzzard but I only find the sensitive handling useful in combat against ground target, maybe because I'm playing on PC so whenever I want to move fast forward it dramatically change my camera angle which annoyed me quite a bit. I think it's more of a personal preference
The Buzzard still maintains relevancy for one reason. The upfront cost.
It's still going to be a must-have purchase for the new player's shopping list simply because it's far more affordable.
While yes, both the Buzzard and Sparrow cost 1.8 million dollars; consider the following.
In order to get access to the Sparrow, you have to purchase a Penthouse from the Diamond Casino and Resort (This is because in order to purchase the Kosatka, players have to speak with Miguel Madrazo who is going to be in the VIP area of the Music Locker, thus requiring you to purchase the Penthouse).
Then you have to purchase the Kosatka itself and the Sparrow, then spend an additional fee of $240,000 to attach the Sparrow's missile launcher.
In total, you have to pay $5.5 Million Dollars just to get the Sparrow.
Compare that to the Buzzard which has a flat $1.8 Million dollar cost. If the player is smart with their money, they can purchase the cheapest High-End Apartment, Complete the first heist to make back the cost of the Apartment, then spend their money on both a Bunker and Buzzard to maximize payouts while they do heists.
The Cayo Perico Heist, if done ENTIRELY solo, requires the new player to do all the prep missions with nothing but a Special Carbine and then complete the heist optimally. Ideally, you'd get 1.1 million dollars for the Madrazo files and an additional payout of roughly $400k - $500k if you complete the Elite Challenge and get a full bag of Cocaine without getting shot at. Not even close enough to offset the sheer cost of acquiring the Sparrow and it requires the new player to have the same level of competency as a high level grinder; relatively unreasonable to expect for them.
So while the Sparrow is superior to the Buzzard, it's still not economically viable for those starting out, thus the Buzzard retains relevancy in the early game, while the Sparrow is viable for late game players.

2nd- you can call a buzz for 25k, so the trade off is: you can buy it for 1.8m or call it 72 times .
3rd- the only use for it is vip missions
With 1.8m the best decision a new player can make is to save up for the kosatka.

I wish it would be sea sparrow in the sub tho cuz its much more useful especially for kosatka prep or if you accidentally hit the water because of fog and its faster than sparrow so they shouldve just raised the roof of kosatka so we can fit sea sparrow inside instead of normal sparrow
Would like to see 2 quality of life changes to the Sparrow:
1. 15-30 second godmode from time of spawn, similar to what was given to the CEO Buzzard. Sometimes the Sparrow will spawn between two buildings or light poles for instance, and it will insta-destroy as soon as you enter it without any other options besides returning it and waiting for the cool down.
2. Would like to see actual landing feet. I know this was a lazily chop-the-legs-off the Sea Sparrow model, but they should add the proper helicopter landing legs to ease the landings a bit like every other chopper (Buzzard, Frogger, Maverick, etc)

I was pleasantly surprised by the Sparrow's universal performance. I'm looking forward to Broughy's eventual speed testing with it.

The fact you can spawn it like the CEO buzzard and it can spam fire missiles is already worth it imo. Not sure why they didn't just use the sea sparrow since it makes more sense to have that in a submarine though.
To dodge homing rockets and that stuff spin around whilst accelerating and for so reason the middles go straight past it,Itâs very cool
nobody mentions how this thing is literally the fastest helicopter for zipping around the map, and that alone is enough of a reason for some players to use this in freemode since helis are easier and quicker to park than hydras
It's hard to think of the Sparrow as a Buzzard Attack Helicopter replacement when it has that massive paywall. The Buzzard costs $1,750,000, while the Sparrow will set you back $4,015,000 ($4,255,000 with the homing missile upgrade).
the starlight can also counter yacht defense submarine strat, its fast and nimble enough to avoid the yacht defense missiles and can use its own missiles to destroy the sub

I have a extra mentioned. you can get multiple sparrows active when you land on top of a CEO building by pressing right on d-pad. And I believe it dose not despawn. Basically all it does is spawns like a non personal vehicle I guess you could say. it doesn't show up on map. So I believe that means you can spawn in like 20 sparrows for like your friends just like dominate the whole server.
I raced it against a buddy of mine and itâs just a wee bit faster than the lazer also if youâre going full speed already and someone locks on as you pass by i found as long as you maintain speed youâll be fine. out ran oppressor mk2, homing launcher, deluxo, and B-11 so far
Something to note about the sparrow is that when flying forward, it does lose altitude, whereas most other helis gain height

Also keep in mind you can park inside the kosakta by just flying to it and pressing e, making it a lot faster to get into it
The CEO Buzzard's only useful niche now is 4 seats. There are times, usually involving heists, you need 4 seats. So it still has a little relevance.
It's also great if your moon pool vehicle is on cooldown, esp since you can literally ditch it into the ocean when you land with zero consequence.

Yeah itâs kind of stupid you canât paint the Avisa. Iâm pretty sure there are other colors for it too. Strange why they didnât give us the option.
I think the ability to avoid yacht defenses is there because the kosatka usually spawns behind yachts and your sparrow has to fly over them.
The bad thing about the sparrow is that the landing things doesn't move when you land so it takes damage similar to the havok. Also it can also tilt sideways when landing damaging the rotors until it smokes. Atleast its not as bad as the havok
You forgot to mention it is significantly faster to take off than the Buzzard from dead stop (ie standing next to it rather than engines already on) for faster getaways.
The Sparrow is pretty much my daily driver since getting the Kosatka.

R* did a really good job adding an air vehicle to Kosatka. Would have been better if we could store our personal Sea Sparrow like we can store the Toreador/Stromberg in Moon Pool vehicle area.

The Sparrow is useful if you work all by yourself.
Otherwise, get a Buzzard, get a friend/teammate, let them pilot and the pilot can just wait outside the sub whenever you need to go in. It has better weaponry, more slots, even countermeasures (People on the sides with flare guns).
Sure it's a bit slower, but overall, it's better, both for PvE and PvP.
However if you're by your own, the Sparrow will be more handy.

It's only worth purchasing for heist prep missions. It saves a lot of time in prep and makes the disruption missions a lot easier to complete within the short time given.

it would be really cool to add sparrow leg thing like sea sparrow to make it stand on water its not just make sense but looking way better and fitting to update (sorry my english is kinda bad)

I use both. But found a way how to use the mark 2. Itâs really good.
5:30 you can actually get the avenger AND the submarine too if you go pick up the avenger from the facility after you call the submarine
Unless they patched that which im sure they will
Also, the yatch defenses only activate when the interaction menu is closed
Edit: also yatch defenses were buffed to shoot targets underwater (i think)
I'm just realized something about dodging in this helicopter, it's like dodging in a Deluxo. You know slowing going either up or down spinning so if you have had practice using and dodging with the deluxo then I promise you it's going to be the same with the sparrow I killer 2 Lvl 140-180 that were using hunters while I'm level 87 using a sparrow and was never hit

Ghillie trust me on this, get the sparrow, fly to office (or penthouse), hit land and enter, and exit to roof and look at the helipad and mini map at same time
The sparrow's spawns are good until the tail is inside the wall in the airport and it glitches to blow itself up, when you come back from scoping the island and call the sparrow, it spawns too close to a wall and that happens.

It begs for some suspension, because no matter how gentle i land this thing it always starts smoking and then eventually dies
I think rockstar let it through the yacht defences for the reason you stated at the end, parking yachts next to the submarine.
I got surprise attaked by a savage and i somehow doged the misiles and didint manage to kill the guy cause he jumped out but i was still proud that i did that
I prefer the buzzard the sparrow is pretty fun to use but Iâve been using the buzzard for a very long time itâs really handy against jets
So it's a slightly better buzzard for 3x the cost (including the sub). Right.
this helicopter has insane agility lol i was able to fly through the entire city unter the street lights while chasin someone on a motercycle lol
if the landing bars of the sparrow had flex or "supension" then it would be one of my favourite aircrafts in the game. It's extremely good so far yet the landing bars seem like an extension to the chopper's main body and are very unfriendly for fast landings, I'm guessing R* got lazy again and just removed the floaties off the sea sparrow and didn't bother to change anything else...
Once I came across a griefer In an akula above my kosatka and I started a Cayo perico prep. And when I left in my sparrow he was about 50m above me and I still won.
I got reset after the apartment glitch, and I wish this vehicle was added when I restarted. It is just as handy as the buzzard, and cheaper. Getting it with the submarine creates a reliable solo money making method. If I get reset again, definitely going straight to submarine and sparrow.
I did the Cayo perico heist is actually harder with a friend and it's so easy on your own today I got pink diamond and got a very easy 1,350,000 using ro-86 alkonost thing. Don't use best is the kosatka oppraoch through drainage tunnel hope that helped l.
Have any of you checked out the police station near the casino its had an update it looks different from how it was before!
Thanx to the Sparrow, I can knock out my Cayo heist preps in 45 mins or so (as long as I dont get that fucking follow the Merryweather chopper prep).
