- Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan condemned the attacks on Syrian vehicles and businesses in Kayseri, attributing the violence to the opposition’s “poisonous” rhetoric.
Violence erupted in the central Turkish city on Sunday night, as residents attacked vehicles, businesses and homes belonging to Syrian refugees. The unrest followed reports that a Syrian man had allegedly sexually abused a child.
Speaking at a Justice and Development Party (AKP) meeting, he emphasised that violent xenophobic actions are unacceptable, adding that discrimination, marginalisation and hate speech will have no place in party politics.
This condemnation comes amidst growing tensions and anti-Syrian sentiment in Turkish society.

I stayed in turkey for a holiday and people treated us like we were invading or migrating to their country, I would never go back. I’ve never felt like more of a foreigner anyway except there and I lived in Europe before as well. As a black muslim I wouldn’t recommend it for you, but if you’re white you should be fine.

I don't even know what that looks like. All I know is marginalization and trying to navigate the mess I inherited in the US. Most of them dont come there illegally. They come by the German governments help for them to work in there. They are not refugees or illegal persons. But in Turkey in records their number are 2 million but from the statistics they are over 10 million people right now !!! And they grew much faster than Turks. When a turk family have one child they have five child or smt. It is a big threat for future even if you look at them how they are acting right now. İt is not first life they take or it is not first rape they commit. It is not first time they hide a criminal inside them from cops. It is not happening after one incident. The locals are very angry and government act like it is not a very big problem so they got much angrier. It is happening after all this years. As a Turkish person let me tell you that, whether Muslim or secular, we Turks are not happy with the vast number for refugees in Turkey, around 15M. Erdoğan should explain us how refugees will be repatriated rather than admonishing opposition parties for hate speech. I voted Erdoğan since the day AKPARTİ was established. I have always supported him. But when it comes to the problem of refugees, he has to offer a solution. Otherwise, opposition will use anything they can to have the power.

The solution is being implemented you guys are just being inpatient. The solution: Ever since the liberation of northern syria more than 600.000 syrians returned home & will continue to do so. Please also keep in mind amongst those syrians there are Turkmen syrians- how do you know they do not get harmed in the midst of all this ? Erdogan, while condemning these attacks, still occupies parts of Syria which is a crime. I am however saddened that the Turkish people whom I consider to be good people, act in this way towards Syrians. If you don't want Syrians to live in your country, then maybe you should tell Erdogan not destabilize and occupy Syrian lands.
Tell syria to stop killing its innocent civilians and to stop funding terrorists
Syria was destabilized before Turkiye came in to secure her safety at the borders from the t error threat coming from Syria. Assad needs to cooperate first to get rid of them and fulfill his obligation according to the Adana Agreement. If you don't know what that is, just google it. Syria is known to use this organisation to destabilize Türkiye in the past. Turks won't tolerate any yapping from someone that shows no signs of good neighborly behavior and keeps his borders clean.
