Hua Chenyu (Chinese: 华晨宇; pinyin: Huà Chényǔ; born February 7, 1990), also known as Hua Hua (Chinese: 花花),[1] is a Chinese singer and songwriter. He rose to fame after winning the 2013 Super Boy singing contest produced by Hunan TV, China. Hua is well known for his powerful vocals, dramatic stage performance and talents in composing. He is often recognized as one of the most influential singer-songwriters under 30 in China.

Hua released his debut album Quasimodo's Gift in September 2014, whose sales volume had ranked Top 1 in the Jingdong Top 100 Annual Sales Chart (Music). His second physical album Aliens was released in December 2015. His first personal branded concert, "Mars" Concert, was held in Beijing on 6 September 2014 even before his debut album was released. Over 10,000 tickets were sold out within two minutes, breaking several records and making him the first Mainland singer of his generation to hold concerts in a large arena. An additional concert on 7 September was then announced and sold out due to high demand. Since then, Hua has brought his "Mars" Concerts to other cities in China every year. On 7 March 2017, he released his third album H, which refers to his last name initial.

He shows how kind gentil, and childlike he is. But when it comes to his music
he is very serious, focused and knows what he wants. He also has a thing about never showing skin and hates being hot. He sleeps with air conditioner on high. He chooses stage outfits by their breezyness and if they don't show skin. Modest Hua is so cute .

From my own opinion, Hua Chenyu chooses a fragment of the emotion in life, which mix with anger, pain, hesitate and wish to express such emotion and situation on the stage. The lyrics includes something like "I want everyone to notice me, but doesn't know who I am", "Don't regret if you love me, because eventually I'll leave one day", "I just want to see your beauty, but have no interest in your suffering", "I just want the water from heaven but not your tear", which are probably something cross his mind sometimes. At the same time, these lyrics not only could something he talk to others, but also could something he fears from the other people. Anyway, the emotion is very complex, and the lyrics can be interpreted from many different ways, which make the performance very artistic. He usually doesn't explain his song from words, but from the feelings the audience got. In this particular performance, he explained a little about the song, but I think it's more from the requirements of the show, because it's still a competition. However, personally, I think the performance just can be interpreted in many ways and everyone has their own feeling about it.
i would' t had the same reaction if i had lyrics. I understand although his situation because he is divorced patents' child from very small age and he is from wealthy family. Both of them doen't make you happy. Its an opportunity for us to talk about these things. If i was in his place would i ve been alive?
Actually I think you probably can understand him very much because I saw your description said that you've been playing improvisations. He said he started to learn music when he was very very young but he didn't like it at all at the beginning. He was just asked to study music, just like other things from school. But once when he accidentally heard a symphonic, he was crying. Then he starts to feel the emotions and feelings from the music. One thing he likes very much is to lock himself in the room and plays the piano like crazy to express any feeling from his heart. Then he can feel released and good after that. The first time he appears in view of the public, he was attending a competition. He looked very odd and shy, and he played and sung a song without lyrics written by him. Most of people couldn't understand him but luckily one reviewer likes it very much. Then he eventually won that competition and started his music career.
Even right now, he is still a controversial figure because his music is so different from the mainstream music in China. But personally I like him very much, because I feel all his musics are alive. His performance always has the high consistency from the melody, lyrics, performance style, stage, appearance etc.. His most special songs are some songs without lyrics. And he also has many different styles of music, which are all very good. I think he just perfectly balanced the commercial and artistic in the music.
Btw, his childhood is very lonely, so it's very difficult for him to get intimacy with other people, and also those experience becomes the source of his artistic talent. He injects all of his passion and feeling into his music. Right now, he's so much better than couple of years ago. I think he starts to feel the connections with people, with his fans. For the wealthy family...... I think it still has some advantages LoL. Doesn't make you happy, but you don't have to suffer many other things. And I think he has such a pure, sensitive and kind personality, also because he never really suffer from the true suffering of life.
well, i agree to most of what you say. But i tell you my mathematics.. if you are poor you suffer from food or cloths or other material things.. but if you are rich you suffer from unsatisfaction or fear that other don't like you or other psychologically things. Choose the best which is the material suffer and not the emotional suffer because the first can finish with money but the second can finish only with emotions.
